We sat in the bar area to take advantage of the Happy Hour on a Wild game night. Had the sampler - tenderloin, prawns & artichoke dip. Nice house wines & specialty drinks. Erin, our server, was attentive an provided excellent service.
Their fish is always very tasty alone with professional and friendly service.
Valentine's Day dinner was wonderful complete with sampler appetizer, salad, soup and entrée. Food was flavorful and so enjoyable. Temperature of meat was perfect with one of us ordering medium and the other medium well. Servers were attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely time. Still my favorite place to go for a special night out.
The food and service was outstanding. We will definitely be back for another GREAT meal in the very near future.
Always great experience....never disappointed. Great atmosphere with knowledgeable, professional staff.
Terrible Valentines Day lunch. It began with a dirty plate, apparently an unwashed bread plate on the table which I ignored rather than spoiling the lunch for my wife by just setting it aside. Then the waitress recommended the Waygu meatloaf which we both ordered. After ordering she returned a few minutes later, embarrassed to say it was no longer available! This was an 11:30 reservation! Amazingly poor management.
Then we reordered the Chicken Dijon and the French Dip sandwich. The chicken was basically a dry breaded chicken cutlet and the French dip was flavorless and dry with only enough dip for half the sandwich. The side fries were unseasoned and no where near fine restaurant quality.
After eating less than half of our meal we thought they at least had to have decent desserts so we tried the Creme Brulee and Pear Bread Pudding. Oh my!
The Creme Brûlée had obviously sat in the fridge long enough to make the top mush. It’s suppose to crack since the torched top sugar layer is created at decent restaurants just before serving. You can buy better Creme Brulee that sits in the glassed fridge for hours at Kowalski's. The bread pudding was dry and flavorless......obviously left over from at least a day ago. We only took a few bites of the desserts, sipped a little of their surprisingly bitter coffee that must have been left in the pot for sometime, paid our check and left feeling sorry for the good waitress who had to serve us this mess of a meal. (I'd hire the waitress in a minute but fire the management and chef even faster.)
There was a time when this was a good dining option, and I’m betting the Bloomington Kincaid’s is still pretty good, but a $100 bill here for one of the worst lunches in memory, and less satisfying than a $15 Culver’s meal, is moronic. Talk about an awful downhill slide, this is a place to never return to.
I’ll take my wife to Lake Elmo Inn tonight to make it up to her. Happy Valentines Day......Not!
Just took over hour for our food even when people that sat down after us got food way before. I think they thought we weren’t going to wild game so took there time with us. We missed first 15 minutes of game.
Our server Kristien was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable of both food and drinks. She was so genuine which made our occasion that much more special! The timing of the whole staff was spot on. Drinks were well balanced and food was fresh at a perfect temp when served. We both had steaks (med rare) good tenderness and perfect char! Not the best I’ve ever had but very solid.
This is a very beautiful restaurant and our server was outstanding. Also, a lady called to confirm our reservation and she was also fabulous and helpful.
Fabulous food. Our waiter, Rick was exceptional.
The perfect evening.
Rick is a great waiter! Second time we’ve had him in a month. We had a great dinner.
We had a nice, early Valentine's dinner at Kincaids this past Saturday. Traffic was a huge issue that night (winter carnival parade and Wild game - whoops!), but the hostess staff was understanding about our late arrival. The food was very good, service just ok. The waiter did not come around often and was a bit slow on drinks when we ordered a second round. My only real complaint is the restaurant is now adding a 2.9% service charge for living wages (not part of the tip they were careful to explain). This is not well explained in the summary of charges nor by the waiter when we asked. Otherwise my husband and I had a nice dinner and would return again.
Great place to go for date night! friendly staff, they held our reservation even though we were late due to traffic!! Waitress was very nice and very friendly but forgot a few things, overall a great night at Kincaids!
Great value....ordered four different dinner meals and all were tasty.
We had to wait a while for our table which was surprising since we had a reservation:(
Food was so subpar. I’m a Mpls guy so I generally frequent Ruth’s, capital and Burch. While the vibe is more old world supper club, that’s no excuse for chipped tables, steaks cooked off spec, low quality meats and ridiculous prices. I’ll pay any amount of money for quality food and this was just awful. Server was kind, but her conciliation was free dessert which, we were celebrating my husbands birthday, so that seemed like a given. Not to mention no one acknowledged the birthday, which I noted specifically. No candle. Nothing. Very unimpressed for $360.
EXCELLENT WAITRESS/HOSTESS AND HOST(young man on after the SPCO concert)
Most likely will not return. The menu seems somewhat dated, selections lacking any originality. The scallops were the worst I have ever had in a restaurant. They were mushy with no flavor, not plump and moist. My $12 martini was whisked off the table by some employee without asking if I was finished, and I wasn't.
The restaurant space is handsome. The warm garlicky bread to start is delicious. The salmon special was outstanding.
Great service and food during a busy time (Winter Carnival). It is our favorite place to dine in the Twin Cities.
We always enjoy dining at Kincaid's. The service is excellent and the food is always good. We came for a late lunch and, afterwards, a stroll around Rice Park and the ice castle and sculptures. We also like the attached parking ramp so we can park close and inside with the 2-hour voucher from Kincaid's. We will be back again.
We have a group tradition of celebrating birthday's at Kincaid's. They always have great food and service!
View and ambiance was great, food just so-so. Scallops were overcooked and small, especially for $33. Complimentary garlic bread was yummy. Wine selection was good and pretty reasonably priced .
Wonderful. Love the Lobster Bisque. Hostess was especially considerate about my daughter's newborn.
We go there quite often and it is always enjoyable. They also validate parking for the attached parking ramp :)
Another couple, my wife and I met for dinner. We ordered from the special "date night" menu.
My wife said she enjoyed the salmon, while I had the prime rib, which was excellent. the house cabernet was quite nice. At $30.00/person, (appetizer, entree, wine and dessert) the dinner was an outstanding value. After dinner we went across the street to see the Ice Palace in Rice park.
Thank you, Kincaid's, for a wonderful evening.
The food was excellent!
The service was exceptional!
The food timing was off between courses .
