Kincaid's - St. Paul

Steak was so overdone and my wife’s was rare and should have been medium plus. Server heard and confirmed and it was dry and cool when served. We just ate what we could and enjoyed the wine. Should have been better for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner
The hostess did a nice job of accommodating my need for a booth near an electrical outlet.
The service was very good at our table. I was a little disappointed by the calamari/archichoke appetizer - very greasy. The ceasar salad with salmon was good.
The food and service were fantastic! We were there to celebrate our son's confirmation, and they made it extra special!
Rick provided us with awesome service as always!! Good outstanding, cocktails top notch.
Hope to return soon!
Great service! Our waiter was very friendly and outgoing!!
My meat was too salty when it was delivered. Desert took so long to wait for that we had to leave without it so we could get to our performance.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and honest. My meal was especially good, except the vegetables were a little tasteless and chewy. I had the halibut special and it was fabulous. The waiter was personality plus and attentive but not overly attentive. It was a lovely meal.
We will definitely be returning. The food was fantastic (especially the clam chowder) and our birthday celebration was a memorable one!
We love everything about Kincaid's St. Paul. We highly recommend it.
Food was good. Service was terrible. Waiting over an hour to get our food without the staff apologizing or letting us know anything. We will not be returning.
The staff is what makes this place amazing! Every time we have come they go above and beyond to make it special. Rick is especially excellent at what he does!
Not on a holiday where they scale back the menu. We were disappointed in the limited menu for Mother's Day. Lobster Bisque soup was luke warm and did not have any big chuck of lobster in it has it has in the past where they make it at your table. Salad...usually served on a cold plate had just come out of the dishwasher. With the limited menu they were also out of two of the items listed that were items we wished we could have ordered. Instead of getting a free desert for a birthday, we got a certificate to come back for an crab dip appetizer. Service was nothing great...but fine.
Service was great and the rhubarb crisp was outstanding! I was however disappointed in my pork chop. It was so tough that I almost sent it back!
Great food choices, but can add more variety of salads and more choices for desserts
Our party of 6 was put in the private room. Food was great. Noise level was very low. Thank you
Ample and flavorful. Service was attentive but not intrusive. It was our first visit but will not be our last. We look forward to a return experience.
Mother's Day brunch was lovely - good food, good service, and an overall friendly vibe.
Compared to our previous experience this one did not live up to expectations. First off, how did I not notice the outdated and not very nice bathrooms? Not only is it tucked to the side of the kitchen which confuses everyone the first time, but it's small and had people waiting in line with the door open for the beige colored toilets. Secondly, we decided to sit in the lounge as we were able to get a nice booth by the window which is an enjoyable spot. The table top was in such poor shape - we used a plate to cover one area where the laminate was completely chipped away. Just not very elegant at all. Our waitress, while nice, was quite slow on serving us our drinks - slow enough to have my husband's head swiveling around to determine what might be going on. My husband ordered his prime rib medium - there was little to no pink in the cut at all. He also was a little turned off that the dollop of horseradish was sitting on top of a blob of fat. As we walked out, the person at a neighboring table was being served an incredibly better looking slice of prime rib - could see pink, it looked bigger (my husband ordered the largest cut), and the horseradish was not sitting on a blob of fat.
The food and service were wonderful. It was especially nice to be able to dine where the "music" doesn't drown out the conversation! How refreshing! The cocktails are extremely well done. We do wish a good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc would be offered, but then, we have lived in N.Z. and know how delicious these wines can be - at a good price too! I suggest you find a different supplier!
We expect to come - with friends- many times. And we live in Mpls!
Kincaid's is that rare upscale restaurant in which you can actually hear and converse with the people at your table. I hadn't been there for years and was pleasantly surprised. Many tables are separated by partial walls, which also keeps the noise down. My steelhead trout was absolutely delicious, maybe the best I've ever had. Desserts were also great. Our server was polite and attentive. My only disappointment was the vegetables. A pea puree was runny and didn't taste fresh. A slaw with jicama and red peppers turned out to be soggy. Had the vegetables been as superb as the trout, I would have given an outstanding rating.
Exceptional service, always amazing food!! Thank you!
It is a great place for a nice upscale dinner. It was very busy and our server was apologetic for not getting to our table in a timely manner. She had another server get our drink order and because it took a while to deliver them, she comped our drinks. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There are only 3 tables for 4 by the window so chances of getting one are very slim. I had requested one and we were seated "close" to the window which was disappointing. All in all though, a very nice place with great servers and outstanding food!
Seating options are always great here. We especially enjoyed our hors d'oeuvre choice of the grits and shrimp. The chicken with dijon sauce and mashed potatoes was sooo delicious. Great servers!! And love that we could pick up our take home bag from their refrigerator after the show.
The service was (as always) excellent and the food quality is always wonderful and consistent. Always an enjoyable time.
We always enjoy going to Kincaid's. Great food selection with excellent service. A dinner at Kincaid's followed by the Ordway is special.
Our meals are always tasty and our waiter was attentive.
It was perfect. Very pleasant experienced waiter. Easy parking. Great food. Definitely recommend.
The waiter was extremely helpful in suggesting their best entrees. The ambiance was perfect with the views of downtown. Our food was cooked to perfection, and very tasty. I loved my lemon drop drink as well!!
Wait staff was professional and attentive to my family. The waiter went through the menu for us. The food was excellent. We will definitely eat there again.
I loved it is the place where you go to dress up and celebrate all occasions! Out Waiter was exceptional! his recommendations were spot on!
Reliably good food and great service. Waiter made sure we made our concert on time without feeling rushed. Maytag blue cheese salad always excellent and they will split one for you unlike some places
Thre server was great, fitted came out promptly&was Ah-Freaking-Mazing!!! Worth it just for the American waygu beef.
Fabulous as always! Always feel special when we come to Kincaids. The St. Paul location remains my favorite. Thanks for making our night special. Also love the new music. Small thing but it set the mood.
Good appetizers-bad main courses! I ordered pork chop-over cooked, dry and hard to cut or eat. The “roasted”vegetables were actually burnt..my wife had the lobster tails...under cooked, rubbery and tasteless...
Great food and good service, made our special occasion even more special.
The service was excellent, the drinks were good, the salad was fine but the steak and mash potatoes were sub par.
I chose the New York strip and found it to be a bit hard to chew. It reminded me of something I might get at an Outback Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse type restaurant.
The mash potatoes were very bland.
Food was great and our server (Rick) was fantastic! I asked him how he recommended the rack of lamb and he took the time to explain what the restaurants medium rare was. He said that the medium rare plus maybe better, it was perfect. The hostess on the other hand was rude, I mentioned that we had reserved a table for 7:45, she made us wait another 15-20 minutes to be seated. What is the point of a reservation (wasn't that busy) if we can't be seated near our reservation time?
Our celebration for eight guests could not have been better. Our food and the server Laura were superb! Kincaid’s never disappoints.
Prime rib and lobster bisque were wonderful as usual. The service was attentive and on point.
