Overall it was OK. I think under the current circumstances, the service was not up to usual standards. Our server seemed to have quite a few tables to manage which was not fair for her. The food overall was good, medium rare fillet cooked perfectly. Swordfish excellent. Ribs average. Will try again the next time we’re in town.
We had an excellent meal with excellent service. It was the first time back since the pandemic began and we had a lovely table by the window. Prime rib was excellent and the creamed kale was a very good addition. Service was exceptional. It was good to be back in downtown St. Paul. We will be back for the holidays.
Had a great dinner with friends. Our server was Jade - she is amazing!
Service, service, service. The ambiance was warm, comfortable and upscale in a classic, traditional sense; refined but unpretentious. The food was very good and we ate every bite. But it is the impeccable service for which we shall, much like general MacArthur, return.
Steaks were not good. They lacked flavor and the Ribeyes were full of inedible fat. At $50 per steak, you should not have to spit out gristle. Would not go back.
Our meal was excellent. We had romaine blue cheese salad, which was delicious and large, onion soup, delicious as well, spiced bbq salmon, fantastic, and chocolate indulgence dessert ( to die for. Everything was we’ll prepared and delicious. We went last week and had a less than perfect meal. This week more than made up for it
It was wonderful ! The waiter was exceptional as usual. It was great to see it so busy and people enjoying themselves.
We love Kinkaid's. Our recent visit was to celebrate an anniversary. Each of our food selections were tastey, beautiful presentation, cooked to perfection. The servers are knowledgable about the menu, so polite, courteous, and spot-on for refills of beverages.
We enjoyed Kincaid’s so much that we ate there two nights in a row!!! The food was excellent and the service was great. They have a nice wine selection for not only by the glass but also bottles. Oh, and the desserts were awesome!!
Our waitress Lindsay was incredible! She was friendly and funny and came to check on us the perfect amount of times!
We enjoyed our dinner at Kincaid's. Kincaid's took care in accommodating us with all our covid concerns. The staff was excellent, the food was delicious, and our server Wynn was excellent.
We had a terrific waiter, Rick, that was very knowledgeable about the menu and individual cooking styles. He was funny and kind and at the end of our evening, brought us a dessert to share. Had a great dinner and experience!!
Our small group was going to a concert afterwards. That means we can't carry leftovers. My point is that there are few options for smaller people and eaters to have an appropriately-sized meal. My friend and I shared a salad and the smallest size offered of prime rib and could not finish it. Two women who don't want to be fat and don't consider overeating a good deal. Good restaurants such as Kincaid's could handle differently sized main menu meals. My usual option is to have an appetizer, but I do want what's offered in the main menu. Thank you. Otherwise, everything was great and I'll certainly go again and recommend it overall.
The halibut was phenomenal as was the service
I usually do not write a review but I feel I must here. It was really the food that was just not that good. All of us ordered French Onion soup and after our first bites we all started looking at each other and said this has no taste. First time ever I have had to add salt to soup and that did not even work. Next 3 of us ordered blackened Halibut and two were way over cooked and dry and the one was almost raw in the thick middle of it. To top it off I ordered a double espresso and that tasted like warm Folgers coffee. Won't be back ever!
Kincaid’s was a great choice for a nice dinner before the Eagles concert on October 2, 2021. Good food, service and ambiance!
It's difficult to review a restaurant due to the current labor shortage in the state (country). The wait staff were trying their best to keep up, but with a room full of Eagles concertgoers, they were simply overwhelmed.
I look forward to a return visit when things have returned to "normal", but appreciate the efforts that were made to attempt a fine dining experience.
We chose Kincaid's for a pre-concert meal. We were immediately seated against a far corner wall when there were several better tables available. Our server came quickly. However, another couple in the same area had a long wait and had to complain to management. We ordered an oyster appetizer but then found out later that they were out. I ordered a prime rib but was served a rib eye. We did not want to be late for the concert and our waiter could not be seen. He did not show up until the meal was almost finished. He then checked and determined the fault was his and not the kitchen's. He did not offer any kind of a comp for his mistake and we were billed the full amount. The rib eye was correctly prepared and seasoned but was not what I would call a top quality cut of beef (medium rare but slightly tough). I think the waiter must have been new because he did not know if Bombay was a gin or vodka. Overall, not a good experience.
Food was terrible! Kincaids use to be a dependable restaurant where we could comfortably take clients for a good dining experience. Not any more, this was our 2nd recent attempt and the food was terrible for ALL of us. We all choose dinner entrees ranging from $ 28 to $40+ expecting portions to be average size and tasty. Just so disappointed!
Ambiance was great, not loud at all. Bjorn, our server was outstanding. Happy hour specials were not valid in the dining room which was disappointing. Fish and chips were very good, expected more for a $56.00 ribeye. Flavor was excellent but the texture on the meat was not what I'm accustomed to for a good ribeye, meaning not very tender. Would still return though.
Excellent and consistent level of food quality and service.
Great to see people slowly returning to downtown St Paul and enjoying great lunch options like Kincaid's. Menu is limited from pre-covid days, but all the favorites and yummy specials are there along with great guest service.
We have been your guests for over 10 years. Your martinis, while still good, have become pricier and smaller in a significant way .
Your waitress , while effective, was not really friendly (which has not been our experience in the past.
Great meal and service, will definitely return on next trip to st paul
Everything was perfect..The wait staff, the food, the ambience.
The menu is varied and every selection sounds tempting. Our group picked entrees much different from one another and each of us was very satisfied.
Good food, good service and the table was set up and placed where we could have a conversation without interruptions and noise.
The wait staff was attentive, the ambiance was perfect and the food was outstanding!
The service, food and ambiance were outstanding. I can not recommend any other restaurant to frequent except for Kincaid's. Thanks to the entire staff for making our evening a memorable one. Blessing to you all.
The staff was friendly and efficient. We absolutely loved the bread! Could have made a meal of it! We split entrees both times we ate there and they presented them on separate plates beautifully.
A great meal. Service was tolerably slow.
The food was fair at best and quite expensive.
The wait staff was excellent and the food terrific.
Our server was fantastic and the food delicious!
We went here for our wedding anniversary. It had been several years since our last visit, but we won't wait that long before returning. The food was outstanding, as was the service. We had a nice table by the window and enjoyed seeing downtown St. Paul active again!
Unfortunately, we were seated close a very large group who were drinking and were very loud. We therefore had to speak above their voices in order to have our own conversation.
Service was slow and perfunctory. Salmon was overcooked. Seafood and pasta was oversauced.
Wonderful the food was amazing The drinks were wonderful I still give it a five but it would be awesome to have a military discount...
Bjorn was a very pleasant Waiter.
Great food and service. Surprised that the lobster add on was one of the best I've ever had
My wife and I had a wonderful meal last night. My filet was perfecto!
Will go again.
