The Clam Chowder was so light yet flavorful, it is my new favorite. This was also the best Key Lime pie I have ever had. It was smooth and perfectly sour. The Crem Brule was also delicious. We were disappointed in our entrees. The beer battered fish and chips and the dijon chicken were less than satisfactory. The bredding on the chicken was doughy and overwhelming. The fish was uneventful. Go for apps, desert and drinks and maybe skip the main course.

Visited before going to a concert at Xcel Energy. Service was great! Filet was a bit salty. King crab was lukewarm/cool.

Great dinner. The value for the St. Paul restaurant week menu was excellent. My wife had a small price adjustment to get a bigger prime rib which was outstanding. The desserts and appetizer were regular size too.

It's called a steakhouse but the Strip that I had was only average.

I say no but it's because from my perspective the steak is average. I expected better.

food was very average and overpriced. Had a wagu steak which lacked proper preparation and veggies were totally undercooked. sea bass was overcooked and who knows that that savory bread pudding like brick was? For the price, go to the St. Paul Grill or Pazzaluna instead.

Kincaid’s has long been known for excellent service and food. Things have changed in a big way- maybe due to their acquisition by Landry’s?

My wife and I dined on a Friday night and asked to be seated in the bar area so we could watch the MN Girls State Hockey games. The hostess pointed toward the bar area and said, “sure, anywhere you want to sit.” It was odd that she didn’t at least take a few steps with us, hand us the menus in her hand or really anything. We sat ourselves at a high top in a near empty bar during happy hour (first red flag). No server after five minutes so I grabbed our own menus. These were just dinner menus so my wife asked the bartender for a drink menu. She, too, pointed to an area across the room to grab our own drink menus. What? None behind the bar? We had our nice, student-type server finally notice us after our little fire drill to find our own menus. My wife ordered a mojito and I got a manhattan. My wife asked me to try her drink saying it didn’t taste like a mojito. Our nice server was too young to know how the bar made it so I asked the bartender. Turns out Kincaid’s now uses crappy sweet and sour instead of fresh lime juice to make a mojito. Cheap. My drink - tasty.
Brussels sprout app cooked perfectly but not seasoned at all. Weird. Green pea salad - tasty. Entrees were surf and turf consisting of beef short ribs (tasty) and two dinky, butterflied, overcooked, rubbery shrimp (crap) and a dry aged filet that appeared to be cooked perfectly medium rare but had the grainiest texture I’ve ever had with any steak (weird and crap).

We decided to cut bait and go drink somewhere else but not after the server attempted to sell us a Landry’s membership for $25. Um, what? Really? A membership so I could experience this disappointment again? As I signed the $200 tab, I looked around noticing that on Friday at 7:30pm the whole place was 2/3 empty. My conclusion is that another big chain ruined a once great restaurant. Skip it!

When I set my reservations I was expecting it to be averaged in the middle with other restaurants I had been eating at. Upon entering the establishment my expectations were met at the appearance and noise level. The beverage list didn't have things like ice teas, sodas, milk but did have wines, beers, and a few other alcoholic beverages. I was expecting more by the glass wine beverages it was less than 10, but did have a good by the bottle list. The Menu was ok. The prepared food was a little disappointing. I had ordered my steak medium well and it came to me a little pink. The meat was a little "fluffy" but tasted good. My dates, meal didn't have crisp asparagus it was limp, soggy like it was boiled rather than steamed. Overall, it was what I had expected though.

It was supposed to be a special occasion, but we decided that our occasion would best be spent elsewhere after having to return what was ordered a med rare burger with no caramelized onions came well done with onions. And the on the second return the burger was raw. The prime rib sliders were 2 dinner rolls where the tiny amount of beef on them was dry and unrecognizable to be prime rib. My glass of $14 wine had sediment and tasted off. When I asked if the bottle been open for a couple days the server replied "It's a fast mover so should be fine" we paid for the wine, beer, and overpriced sliders, but will not be back. Too many less expensive and better food options available.

Very nice dinner date spot. White table cloth. Great food. Specialty drink menu could be a little longer but all the staples are there. Would definitely recommend for a date and it's nearby a few other places if you feel like going somewhere else for a drink after dinner.

Beautiful spot for a Valentines Dinner as always. However, our server was a bit awkward...I brought a fantastic bottle of wine to be uncorked and had to ask for proper glassware. Usually Kincaid’s is on top of these things. I was also disappointed that we weren’t read the specials. After I heard her say them to another table long after we ordered, the special is what I would have preferred! Had the lobster tails, they were good but not great. Partner had the surf and turf and was surprised that the short rib was so fatty. Overall it was a lovely night out but there were a few things they can work on.

The food was very good. The service was good. The problem I had was it was a long time that went by between when we were asked our dessert selection and when we received it. The same thing happened when we received the bill and when the wait person came to pick up the bill. It could have been because the restaurant was very busy.

We went to Kincaid's before a show at the Ordway. The server asked us if we were going to an event right away so he'd know if we needed to rush or take our time- I thought that was a nice touch. His recommendations on the menu were wonderful and we both enjoyed our meals.

I’m a regular at Kincaid’s in St. Paul. I always go there when I attend the Ordway theater. We arrived in plenty of time. We had an appetizer and a drink. It took a while for server to take our order but she did so along with the others in our area. She knew we were going to the theater. All tables around us served at the same time receive their meals and, in fact, Received their bill while we were told they’re working on it. 15 minutes prior to the start of the play, I informed her that we could wait no longer. She brought us our bill and apologized but never brought the manager over, nor did they discount or compensate anything. Perhaps we should feel grateful we were not charged for a meal as we never received it. This was a special event for my husband and me. Thank goodness the play was fantastic and that we were able to enjoy a bowl of cereal when we arrived home.

This was the worst experience. We had 5:30 bar seating reservations, made through Open Table. When was arrived, we were told there was a "glitch" and we would have to sit in the dining room. This was not acceptable. We went into the bar area and had to hover for 30 minutes before a table opened up. This was 30 minutes past the time we had made reservations for(!) Then a very nice server came over to great us. He told us it was his 2nd day, but he was sure he would be able to help us out. All was good. THEN, his trainer came over and took over. He was the most obnoxious, annoying, loud person. Between the 'no' reservations and this guy, it was not a good experience. Food was good, but the the rest of the equation was not.

A steak house that was “out of” NY Strip. The only real steak alternative was fillet. If we had not already settled in and had our drinks we would have left. But ordered the fillet, very tender, dry, flavorless and barely warm. Quite a disappointing dinner.

My wife had the salmon, good but also only warm enough not to send back.

Salads were great, cold plate, cold salad.
