Kincaid's - Redondo
Book your next event with us
I've never had a bad meal at Kincaid's. There are many reasons why we love this place.
The location with the ocean view is spectacular. I love being able to just look out at the ocean, especially at sunset. The full windows provide a lovely spaciousness and light feeling.
The service has always been wonderful. From the moment you walk in the door, the hosts greet you warmly. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our table when we've made a reservation. And our servers have always been friendly, prompt, and helpful.
The food--oh, the food!--starting with the bread - warmed with a garlic glaze on it; I couldn't get enough! I often get the Lobster Bisque and have never been disappointed. Whether it's their beautifully prepared salmon, or scallops, or filet mignon, or pork chop, it's all cooked to specification, garnished beautifully.
The bar has a wonderful selection of wines and cocktails - loved their Mai Tai! - and their house Chardonnay complemented the salmon very nicely.
There's good reason going to Kincaid's is a treat - lots of good reasons!
This place is great! Quality & taste of food, ambiance, service & price. Came on a Thursday night & it didn’t seem very busy. I think it’s because of the location. Not that it’s a bad location because it’s not, but a lot of the stores around it are vacant & it’s just not the most popular when we’re talking about the beach areas (Redondo, Hermosa & Manhattan). My point is I think it’s a great restaurant & people should try it! It will not disappoint. I’m definitely coming back
Our server was excellent! Sorry, I can't remember her name.
Excellent food and service as always. Looking forward to our next visit there.
We were greeted immediately with kind & professionalism, seated quickly, all the seats haveing fantastic views or onbionce & served in perfect timimg with gracious & happy service very enjoyable. Victor Curry
Went for Mother’s Day early dinner. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. Although there were several large parties, our food was not delayed. Our drinks were constantly being topped off and our waiter never forgot about us. Other team members also courteously checked in while passing by. Great experience overall.
Everything was done to our liking. No complaints. Excellent service as always. Thank you to you and your staff.
Enjoyed a nice lunch with out of town guests
Service was good, waiter friendly. Food was not warm, mashed potatoes was gummy. We have eaten at Kincaids several times, this will be our last time
Celebrated two wedding anniversaries at dinner on a weekday. Pork chop and prime rib received rave reviews. Salmon was superb. Excellent service.
Waitress forgot to put our order in the computer
What a nice BD celebration for Charles. Kincaid’s was a great choice with great food, service and view. We plan on visiting again REAL. One more thing the clam chowder was the bomb.
Nice view, great service, great food! Will bring family there for anniversary dinners.
The food and wait staff were great. We got an unsolicited dessert because our waiter overheard us comment that it was "a nice spot for a birthday dinner"! Our waiter worked with my mother in law on the wine selection for the meals , and everything came out great.
Experience was good I feel the need to spice up the menu and try some different stuff
We went to Kincaid's with friends for a night out and had a lovely time. The parking was easy and the food was good. We especially liked the Ahi and the Scallops. Although the restaurant was not very crowded, it took quite a lot of time to get our entrees served.
When in doubt , go to Kincades. They never break your heart. Besides, I never had lobster for Easter before!
Food is fine and wild choice of wine.
The main room has a beautiful sight on the ocean.
Good as always.
Food was delicious but my hot crab sandwich was barely warm.
Everything was great! Except our kind waiter made a mistake on my order; when he realized it, he offered to take it back. Well, because the fish was appetizing and healthy, I decided to accept the dish he had brought by mistake. He was apologetic.
That mistake does not tarnish my feeling about Kincaid's. Love the restaurant, the food, and the terrific scenery! The hostess and managers were top-notch!
Bland food and steak over cooked and not a good cut.
We’ve eaten here before and love the view and watching the people on the pier. The food is usually very good and this was not an exception. Fortunately it was not very busy.
The server was good but there were a few things, we said no water but it was brought anyway, we had to ask 2 different people for additional sauce, and the Burnt Creme was really Creme Brûlée (if the menu had said that we wouldn’t have ordered). Key Lime pie was delicious.
The manager came by and was really nice!
Came here with my daughter. We have always had good, but not great steaks here. This time it was well below par.
Service was not good to start. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone said anything to us. No visits at all. Strike one. Eventually, I flagged down the neighboring waiter who helped us. Our waiter was off "dealing with a complicated order".
My daughter wanted a steak with baked potatoes. Nope, they do not do baked potatoes. Strike two (what steakhouse does not do baked potatoes?). We ordered a NY strip to share with some of the potato pancakes and fingerling potatoes.
I ordered a cabernet and took the waiter's recommendation for one from Paso - it had no soul - not a great cab.
The "bread" came and it was interesting. It was several cuts of a loaf that was clearly a day or two old (strike three) and dripping (and I mean dripping) in butter/garlic. Really not good bread. I can just hear Gordon Ramsey saying "Disgusting".
After a while the meal came. The steak was ok but not overly great. I ordered it medium and it was closer to medium well so it was dry (strike four). I ordered a side of Béarnaise sauce and clearly it was sitting for a while as it came to me mostly solid (strike five). The fingerling potatoes were also covered in butter and garlic and did not taste like potatoes, would not order again. The potato pancakes were bland. Had to salt the crap out of them. The veggies were all overcooked and almost candied (How many strikes now?)
My daughter got an ice cream sunday and she liked that. I had a martini after the cab and that was not bad. Yay!
The steaks are $45-$50 each - that is a lot for steak that is at best OK. When everything else falls down, it is too much.
This place is hit or miss. Have been here like 10 times and it 50 percent good service and food and the other are horrible. Staff don’t seem to like there job. They don’t have a hostess to greet you. Waitress was just talking with coworkers when I needed something. The staff should all visit Fleming’s in MB to get a lesson on how customer service should be. This is a shame because I live walking distance and would like to be able to enjoy it.
Food and service were great. We will not be going back to Kincaids because of the extra LWgeSC tax at 2.9% on top of the regular tax. The restaurant should let the patrons know they are paying an additional tax before sitting them. So not ok!!!
Wonderful room with great view! The service was outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday & the waiter was very supportive making it a special occasion, than you! We all thought our food was delicious especially those that had lobster tails. It can be expensive but doesn’t have to be with many items on the menu priced in line with the item/dish.
We said it was a birthday but no special mention was made by the staff. The ambience and service was good. The food was acceptable for the price. Nothing extraordinary. The restaurant was basically empty and we had a reservation but we’re not given a table by the window. We were put in a booth by a side window. We let the birthday boy have the view side. Sitting with the window at our back there was a cold draft. Couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Again, I don’t understand why weren’t given a really nice table since the restaurant was quite empty on a Monday night.
Out of 75% of the seafood menu on a Sunday afternoon. Will never goo back to this restaurant.
I eat at Kincaids 3 or 4 times a month. If it wasn't great, I wouldn't go there.
Always a great place. Food was great as was the service.
Went to Kincaid's Friday evening for a change. Was immediately put off by a rather rude hostess who, when we requested a table next to or near the window, told us in a very terse and discourteous manner that "there weren't any." When we questioned this, we were told "we're very busy." Well, neither statement was true when we were led into the dining room. Many empty tables, and many quite near the windows. We were seated near the kitchen instead. Our server was the one bright spot as he was polite, courteous, and efficient. Meal service was, however, slow. Foccaccio bread came drenched in a cool, oily butter which was unappetizing. The wedge salad was ho-hum, and the clam chowder was bland, but at least it was hot. After an eternity, our dinners were served. The mushroom ravioli and braised short ribs were decidedly mediocre and bland. Prime rib, while cooked exactly as requested (medium rare) was quite tough. At first, I thought the knife was dull, but a second knife was not any more effective. When paying $40 for prime rib, I expect it to melt in my mouth. Not even close. The mashed potatoes were a nice consistency, but again bland. The chef's vegetables of the day were overcooked and all tasted the same. We opted out of dessert. Our wine was good, but then we brought our own. Corkage was a reasonable $15. Overall, a very disappointing meal at a price that we would expect a far better experience. We will likely not return. The two star rating is dominated by the good service provided by our waiter. If not for him, this was a 1-star review.
I don’t know. There’s a lot of restaurants to dine at so I wouldn’t say I’d go back if I was paying the bill. Now our Server/Waiter was an amazing young man! He was extremely professional. Everything else was just okay though. It’s probably difficult to write this review considering I dined at Chart House down the street and our experience was so much different with everything being on spot, but again this young server/waiter kid was definitely a 5 Star performer! So, My Wife ended up paying considering I paid for CUT Beverly Hills... If she’d like to take me back to Kincaid’s I wouldn’t say no. Great Service
We took our friends and we all had fantastic meals. Service was exceptional, Shayna was classy and attentive.
Very good service, awesome food. Will be back again.
Of course we ate seafood.
Oysters to begin which were clean, ultra fresh, briny and delicious.
Peter had the coho salmon, and I had the sole.
Faultless, flavoursome, and cooked to perfection.
Our waitress was friendly, effervescent, humorous and very helpful.
And her wine recommendation, an Italian Pinot Grigio, was very good. Great value and a perfect accompaniment for the delicate sole.
Top class. If you're passing by Redondo Beach, drop in for lunch.
I personally feel that the quality and menu options have gone down.
It was a Friday evening and it was not busy at all.
Crab dip was very runny. There was not much flavor to the chowder.
If you score a table by the window at lunch the view of the surf is great, especially for folks who don't live near it. Food is good. Service is outstanding, drinks are very good. Great place for guests from out of town and a nice place to meet friends for lunch. Even when the weather is bad the view is good and you can park in front of the restaurant.
The service was very fast and the waitress was great
Robert, our waiter, had a very large group in his station and yet managed to ensure our wedding anniversary dinner went without a hitch, ironically it was Robert who served us on our anniversary in 2018.
A job well done and thank you to ALL .
Best regards Pamela & Michael Bennett
