We had great service. The food was great. Most enjoyable and the best table ever!! Thank you
Unfortunately, the service was really poor this visit. The hostesses were all seemingly put off with accommodating my reservation in a timely manner and seating me as an incomplete party. The table side service was insensitive to our dining experience. We preferred to start with an appetizer and cocktails and take our time ordering our meals. The server seemed to be in a hurry to get our order in and not stand still enough to hear our preferences. Therefore, there was a mistake in our order.
As I was leaving Kincades , a couple entering asked me, "So, how good is the food here?" . I replied, "FANTASTIC....the meatloaf Wellington just knocked me off my feet." . Highly recommended !!!
I’ve been dining at Kincaid’s since I was a little girl. My parents would always take me here, I recently took my mom out for her birthday. The food was amazing as usual, Kincaid’s never disappoints. I will always recommend and eat at Kincaid’s.
Very dated looking restaurant, even though it's on the pier the view isn't great. Good food though.
Kincaid’s is my husband’s favorite restaurant. He loves the prime rib.
I love the seafood. The wait staff is excellent.
There for my 70th birthday celebration, and the restaurant did not disappoint. The service (by Mikah) was exceptional with both food and drinks arriving shortly after ordering.
We had a young child in our party and they made sure she had everything she needed.
The food, as usual, was of the highest quality, especially the prime rib, and
has now become our family restaurant of choice.
Food was less then average. I couldn’t even recognize the vegetables that were on our plates. The mashed potatoes tasted bland. The server always seemed in a rush. No personalization just was running all over the place.
I requested a table with a view. The table that was picked was kind of odd (at beginning of dining and end of bar area) and next to the door that goes outside to the deck. It was very cold outside. The food overall was good. Server was good., Mica. The mashed potatoes were sweet, had an odd taste. I had to change my drink because it had an odd taste. Second kind of drink was ok. Two of us had live lobster, which was good, one had prime rib-that was good, seafood fetucci and filet mignon were all good. The interior of the restaurant was very pretty and we came right before sunset, so that was very nice.
We eat here every few weeks. The seafood is always great. We love the warm Brie starter as well. The staff and service are always friendly and attentive.
We ate dinner at sunset with a beautiful view of the setting sun. My wife looked gorgeous. The food was fantastic and service was great. I couldn't ask for any more.
Went for our Wedding Anniversary dinner. Food was delicious.
Service was great and the food was wonderful
This was the second time I’ve made a reservation for a birthday celebration only to have the birthday ignored. Disappointing!
We planned to have a drink before dinner. We arrived early and we were told our table was ready but it would be a couple of minutes. We went to the bar and had time to order our second drink before being taken to our table. There were perhaps four other parties in the room and we were placed immediately next to another couple. It was a lovely table in a windowed corner so perhaps we were intentionally given a special table.
We have some lovely memories of family dinners at Kincaid’s. We just will give up on adding birthday celebrations to our memories.
It was Valentines so it was busy. We waited 25 minutes for our 7PM reservation. Not sure our table would still be available if we were 25 minutes late. However, once seated the service was good and so was the food. Great view.
Food took forever. Came out cold as well
My husband and I came here for Valentine's Day dinner. We had a great experience. I ordered the mahi mahi and my husband ordered prime rib. Both were delicious. The service was great. We will definitely be back.
Four of us went to Kincaid's Redondo Beach on a Tuesday evening to celebrate a birthday. Although the restaurant was notified well in advance that it was a birthday dinner, there was no birthday dessert provided. We saw other tables celebrating birthdays, and a small dessert with a lighted candle was presented to the guests. Moreover, our server did a very poor job. She had a bad attitude and was very slow at delivering our food. We won't be dining at Kincaid's in the near future.
I always loved going to kincaids but tonight was pretty bad. We decided to sit at the bar because of happy hour and there was one booth that was open but it was dirty. We sat down and no one came to clean the table and reset it. We had to go grab a waitress after like 15 minutes. The appetizers took forever, like 30 minutes, I had to get up and approach our waiter finally and he said the kitchen was backed up. Well our meal took forever to arrive as well, once again due to the kitchen being backed up. We were there almost 2 hrs:( I heard the place is under new management...I don’t think we’ll be going there for a long time. Food was just mediocre. Nothing special. Definitely a disappointment:/
The food was delicious, the service was great. If your looking for upscale dining this is the place to go in Redondo Beach!
Kincaid's has a wonderful view of the ocean and great ambiance. Hostesses upon entering could be a little more professional. At 530p, 3 hostesses chatting away - no customers really at the entrance - there was an older gentleman but he was headed for the bar area, and we had to wait a few minutes.
Wonderful staff, food view
I have reviewed this restaurant before. I am always impressed with the quality of food, the service and the great sunsets.
I would especially recommend you have Lupe wait on you . She is great, friendly and knows the menu thoroughly. I always come away with a warm feeling of being cared for by someone who appreciates my patronage.
I recommend the pan seared scallops or the short rib. Also the warm pear bread pudding. At the bar their "Old Fashions" are top notch. Redondo at sunset is beautiful, make it a point to visit first chance you get.
Very good food and service. Nice view of the pier if you get a window table. Do like to have to pay for parking and having to use the time-consuming complicated payment machines.
Very empty not what I am used to here
waiter ZACK was the best
food was very good
will come again for sure
We had a great dinner. The prime rib was melt in the mouth delicious. We were there for the Educator's Appreciation Days.
Excellent, well-served meal. Always a favorite, and Kinkaid's did not fail us once again.
Educators Appreciation Day was much better this year than the last two. Food was very good and generously portioned. Service from Edgar was great. Even though we missed the sunset, the view of Redondo Pier was rather nice.
the service was terrible & the food was mediocre. We waited in inordinate amount of time for someone to approach the table. There was nothing special about the food. Calamari was awful -it was all breading. disappointing
Server must have been new as he was slow and we never got refills. Will request a different server if we ever get him again!
We have been going to Kincaids for many years and think of it as one of our favorites. We have spent many many special occasions there with bot friends and family. We appreciate their efforts to improve and keep up with the current trends. This time my salmon was very good and certainly up to our standards, but the roasted veggies were dried out and tasted almost like leftovers. We ate early and the veggies could be products of a Sunday brunch. We will still keep going as it is a great place to appreciate living in the South Bay.
Good ambiance and ocean views. Great Happy Hours. Perfect for date night. Food is very good and cooked properly (important for fish and steak). My husband and I have tried just about everything on the menu and found it all to be delicious. The Lobster Bisque, Broadway Pea Salad and any fish entrée are standouts.
My friend and I took advantage of the educator's menu and I ordered the prime rib end cut well done, but the piece I got was quite marbled and I left a lot of it on my plate. The view is amazing and overall we got a good deal for dinner, but it's rather pricey for every day dining.
We go quite few times always Excellent but the server order wrong item for wife’s Best Friend Little embarrassing so we had the eat Finally her seafood pasta came after we were finished little Upset it’s my Wife Birthday server lost me she didn’t come back explain what happened bringing her a I guest bowl of lobster Bisque didn’t even ask did she want it or not ( Allergies) With no explanation I got up to talk to a Manager I think his name was Charlie I explain what happened he had no Ideal shows the server didn’t communicate with her Manger Once he knew he couldn’t had been more Accommodating the Food was Excellent as Always but the service wasn’t not Definitely go back but maybe with not the same Server but we all make mistakes all I ask that Communicate with us so we know what’s going on thank you
I haven't been in awhile and was excited to take my Mom for lunch. Overall, I was disappointed with the food itself, portions were small and not tasty - I had the French dip sandwich - for $16 it was not good, bread and meat was dry. Mom had clams - too salty
I am a MB resident and like mix my dining experiences.
I think overall this is a good place to have a good dinner, my only suggestion would be to have a little more variety of appetizers and bring the price lower if you expect more guests to order.
Went out to celebrate several Birthdays in my party and was delighted by the fantastic food, the service and the gorgeous ocean sunset during the meal.
Let it be known that the real menu (daily specials) are not on their online menu, AKA, the seafood. They had scallops, salmon, steel head, mahi mahi, ahi and non-seafood--rack of lamb--all on the specials. Every course was good (artichoke-crab app was delicious) and I highly recommend the pear bread pudding for dessert! Great service; our waiter had a great sense of humor and was very on top of our needs. A++ would do business again!
Have been here several times and the overall experience is hit or miss. First the menu has very few seafood items for a seafood restaurant but thats okay the food that is on the menu is always very good.
This experience was bad. The table we were given was squeezed next to large party which caused every bus boy, server and customer to bump my chair when they went by. The staff should have taken the long way around the table. The staff also keeps trays of silverware in strategic places around the seating area.... like right next to the both, literally 6 inches from my arm. Its awesome to hear people grabbing silverware next to you all night during a "fine" dinning experience. Would have loved to have a second cocktail or a second glass of wine for my wife or even a second filling of water but to no avail. The waiter and support staff never checked on us, except when they came squeezing by the chair to grab more silverware.
I expect better service and attention to detail at this price point. Its going to be a while before I spend another night at this place.
I ate here with colleagues two nights in a row and everyone was highly satisfied with their meal. Cocktails were excellent and the fish dishes were especially well liked. The view at sunset is spectacular. The only problem is finding the restaurant which is accessible;le from the roof of the parking structure and has a sharp right turn off the road. There is a sign but it is hard to read in the dark and needs rethinking.
