Our waiter was excellent, friendly, and very helpful! Food was fantastic! I have been here before for my parents anniversary and it was great then. This time was for my 30th anniversary.
We were given a special corner table with window view! That was the same table that we had for my parents 50th anniversary. The Salmon I ordered was perfect! Glad to see that they have kept up with their reputation of being an excellent dining experience! I would highly recommend Kincaid's to anyone wanting that special dining experience.
Our waitress was horrible. Very rude and short when taking our order. When our food was finally brought out it was brought out by another server. She only had 4 entrees, we were a party of 5. We asked if anything else was pending and she said no. So we told her what I had ordered. Waited another 15-20 minutes. STill nothing. Eventually someone looking managerial walked by so I stopped him to ask where my meal was. Clearly the server had neglected to enter it. Neither the server nor the manager apologized appropriately for the mistake on their part. By the time my meal came, everyone else had finished eating. We were there for 3 birthdays and didn't even get to mention that as our waitress disappeared. Even more disappointing was that the manager didn't even make any adjustments to the bill for their mistake. Food was decent but service was horrible and put a damper on everything else.
Celebrated my 8 adult children/spouses birthdays. Food and service was excellent!
Overpriced. Their signature scallop dish should be considered an appetizer at best. Hostesses were not friendly and it seemed as though they were inconvenienced when I asked for a patio table even though I had indicated on my reservations and even though there was only 1 other party in patio so plenty of open seats available with no one on wait list at host stand. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.
Nice place with amazing view. Jameson is an amazing and genuine server. We will ask for him the next time.
Nice woman at the front desk/reception contact, but the waiter and food service were all downhill from there.
Wait service; The male waiter was both lackadaisical, repetitively argumentative on just about everything and had poor knowledge for example whether the fish was wild or farmed. He was not a good representative of a restaurant we had dined at multiple times in the past. The waiter would have been far better suited at an upscale fast food restaurant to his subpar knowledge and customer skill levels. We tried to rationalize his belligerence by noting the lack of having a busing assistant. In the past, Reggie, the former GM who unfortunately left 6 months ago, had this under far better control on both of staff and food quality.
The food: NY steak was requested medium rare and was delivered very rare (purple in the center). Waiter argued their medium rare is 115-125 and used a temp problem to verify. The meat after being reheated rather than replaced, retuned as medium to well and was gristle laden. I took one bite and sent it back and chose not to replace the entree. The time between our arrival and first food arriving was more than 1 hour. My spouses meal after confirming with the kitchen that the fish she wanted was never farmed as the waiter indicated and fortunately the kitchen got it and the clam chowder soup right.
The waiter brought out a teri masu birthday cake slice which was good, but then opted to put it on the bill despite having a private conversation with the female manager about the argumentative attitude of the waiter , the slow service and the subpar NY steak. This left me without any desire to frequent this quallity restaurant with my business.
Kincaid's is part of a bigger restaurant group whose clearly losing its grip and even perhaps it place in the restaurant world as evidenced by the recent closure of its other (once quality based) restaurant Palomino in WLA (Westwood).
Love this restaurant for special occasions. The food was great. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and always go for lobster meal on our anniversary. Lobster tails were good size and very tasty.
The service was impeccable!!!
The food was delicious when done right...they did finally cook the stake correctly.
They took back twice but eventually was excellent.
I would go back in a heart beat.
Right next to the water on the pier.
The food except for the charred kale salad (there was something off with that ....neither my husband or I liked it) was really good. We had the halibut which came with risotto and key lime pie for dessert.
Everything was great...except the booth where we sat. The sun was going down and blinded my guest the ENTIRE time we were there even with the shade pulled and both of us adjusting to try to block the sun. I felt so bad I made it a point to pay the entire $200 bill. I realize it's an ocean restaurant but if you opt to sit inside to avoid the sun...there should be shade inside. Other than that it was great but it was my guests first time there and that's what she remembers!!
The food was excellent, my husband I ordered the Halibut and it was cooked to perfection! We had a great table next to the window overlooking the pier. Our service was top notch. We will be back for sure!
Love Kincaid's. Food is so good and service is always excellent. Definitely will return.
Went for Easter Bruch and the menu selection had a great variety of items to choose from. Can't beat the view of the ocean and the pier from where we were sitting. Service was excellent! Drinks were great! Would definitely go back to Kincaids Redondo!
Our dinner was wonderful and a great afternoon. Everything was perfect.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary of our 1st date here. Food was amazing as always!
Kincaid has been my go to place for almost every special occasion for the last 5 Years. However, on the last two occasions I have dined there , The food has been below what I have always expected from Kincaid‘s . The service is always extraordinary and the ambience is fantastic. I have not yet given up on Kincaid’s, but if I have one more sub standard meal there I Will have to take my dining dollar to another Restaurant .
Love it ! Great experience! Great time !
Will definitely be going back soon
Food, service, location , everything was perfect
Seafood was not as good as it had been in the past. One meal was hardly eaten due being very salty and mushy in texture. Our waiter was very good and was kind enough to not charge us for the entrée.
Service was a little slow...food just average. We had lobster tails....took at least 7-10 minutes for waitress to check on us...asked for drawn butter but tails kind of cold by then. Other entree was oven roasted chicken.... breaded (which we didn't realize) and a little dry. Aioli mashed potatoes ok.
Two entrees, 2 soups, 2 glasses of wine was $135. Expensive for the quality.
The brunch food was pretty bad. We were a party of 5 and none of us enjoyed our order. It’s not easy to screw up a breakfast croissant sandwich but they added Brie cheese and Mornay sauce which completely wrecks the flavor of it. Two of us ordered it and we specifically asked them to leave the Brie off but they added it anyway. Service was slow, despite the fact that there weren’t many diners, so we decided not to send it back. The bill was steep, which makes it even worse to leave the place having been disappointed with the food. Great view, that’s the best that can be said about Kincaids.
Our server, Kristy (6845), was particularly attentive and pleasant. Will return for another occasion.
Lovely atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service!
Love this place. Always very consistent, great service, everything is delicious. Steaks and fish dishes always have amazing sides and sauces. Can't beat the location as well.
We had great service. The food was great. Most enjoyable and the best table ever!! Thank you
Unfortunately, the service was really poor this visit. The hostesses were all seemingly put off with accommodating my reservation in a timely manner and seating me as an incomplete party. The table side service was insensitive to our dining experience. We preferred to start with an appetizer and cocktails and take our time ordering our meals. The server seemed to be in a hurry to get our order in and not stand still enough to hear our preferences. Therefore, there was a mistake in our order.
As I was leaving Kincades , a couple entering asked me, "So, how good is the food here?" . I replied, "FANTASTIC....the meatloaf Wellington just knocked me off my feet." . Highly recommended !!!
I’ve been dining at Kincaid’s since I was a little girl. My parents would always take me here, I recently took my mom out for her birthday. The food was amazing as usual, Kincaid’s never disappoints. I will always recommend and eat at Kincaid’s.
Very dated looking restaurant, even though it's on the pier the view isn't great. Good food though.
Kincaid’s is my husband’s favorite restaurant. He loves the prime rib.
I love the seafood. The wait staff is excellent.
There for my 70th birthday celebration, and the restaurant did not disappoint. The service (by Mikah) was exceptional with both food and drinks arriving shortly after ordering.
We had a young child in our party and they made sure she had everything she needed.
The food, as usual, was of the highest quality, especially the prime rib, and
has now become our family restaurant of choice.
Food was less then average. I couldn’t even recognize the vegetables that were on our plates. The mashed potatoes tasted bland. The server always seemed in a rush. No personalization just was running all over the place.
I requested a table with a view. The table that was picked was kind of odd (at beginning of dining and end of bar area) and next to the door that goes outside to the deck. It was very cold outside. The food overall was good. Server was good., Mica. The mashed potatoes were sweet, had an odd taste. I had to change my drink because it had an odd taste. Second kind of drink was ok. Two of us had live lobster, which was good, one had prime rib-that was good, seafood fetucci and filet mignon were all good. The interior of the restaurant was very pretty and we came right before sunset, so that was very nice.
We eat here every few weeks. The seafood is always great. We love the warm Brie starter as well. The staff and service are always friendly and attentive.
We ate dinner at sunset with a beautiful view of the setting sun. My wife looked gorgeous. The food was fantastic and service was great. I couldn't ask for any more.
Went for our Wedding Anniversary dinner. Food was delicious.
Service was great and the food was wonderful
This was the second time I’ve made a reservation for a birthday celebration only to have the birthday ignored. Disappointing!
We planned to have a drink before dinner. We arrived early and we were told our table was ready but it would be a couple of minutes. We went to the bar and had time to order our second drink before being taken to our table. There were perhaps four other parties in the room and we were placed immediately next to another couple. It was a lovely table in a windowed corner so perhaps we were intentionally given a special table.
We have some lovely memories of family dinners at Kincaid’s. We just will give up on adding birthday celebrations to our memories.
It was Valentines so it was busy. We waited 25 minutes for our 7PM reservation. Not sure our table would still be available if we were 25 minutes late. However, once seated the service was good and so was the food. Great view.
Food took forever. Came out cold as well
