Kincaid's is always a go to for our family. Great service and a meal that never disappoints. Try everything you can in order to get the full experience. You won't be disappointed!
We had dinner at Kincaid’s for our wedding anniversary and it was fabulous! We had the Halibut which was lightly breaded and prepared with a lemon caper sauce and served with the shrimp/prosciutto/pea risotto and asparagus (phenomenal!) and the Prime Rib which was prepared to perfection (medium rare).
Gary took great care of us and even brought us an anniversary card and complimentary burnt cream (my favorite).
Kincaid’s knows how to treat their customers and never disappoints for special occasions. Thank you for making our day so special!
Kincaid’s is an upscale Dinner location great for special occasions. Food was generally very good except the steak was a little overdone.
The dining experience never disappoints here. They're good at what they do!
Kinkaids is our go to restaurants for special occasions. My husband and I celebrated a birthday.
We had steak and haddock- delicious ! And then finished with the best creme brûlée in town.
Our waiter was attentive and informed us on the best selections . He was correct!
Our recent Kinkaids visit did not disappoint.
Great food, excellent service!
Excellent brunch menu and ambiance. Great service as always. Kincaid's is a favorite of ours.
The food was prepared perfectly and the servers were very attentive.
We had a great experience. The Halibut was fresh and fantastic. The prime rib melted on the plate and the blue cheese salad was incredible. Drinks were reasonable and the service top notch. One of my top 5 Restaurants going forward. Thank you.
We stopped in for the fantastic happy hour and were not disappointed. Delicious burger, awesome brie, and yummy wine. Can’t wait to go back.
What has happened to Kincaids? We have enjoyed this restaurant for decades as dependably good. But no more! Our food, other than the salads, was not good. Both the rack of lamb and the prime rib was over spiced and over cooked. After spending over $200. for the meal, we were disappointed knowing we would not return. Our server, however, was great ! And the ambiance is lovely.
My $40 “Charred” filet was nowhere near as I could make on my on grill for $15. My last several business visits here have been very sub par and I won’t be coming back again soon despite my office being in the same building
Our waitperson was very attentive. Thje food was excellent and the ambiance very pleasant
We arrived at 2:00 PM for a two o'clock reservation. We were told it would be approximately 15 minutes. We were seated 35 minutes later. We ordered almost immediately and waited.....and waited..... and waited. FINALLY, at 3:20 PM -- ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES after we arrived -- we were served!!. One other observation: While the Brunch menu offerings were adequate, if you didn't like eggs in mid-afternoon, the availability of alternative entrees were too limited in number of choices and variety.
Kincaid's really mismanaged the reservations for Easter brunch. We arrived early & they told us they might be able to seat us 5 - 10 minutes before our time. They didn't call us until 35 minutes after the reservation time! This was after telling us a couple of times we would be next & then we watched as they called other parties the same size. It was very frustrating to wait & watch 4 hostesses just stand around.
We also requested a table near the front because of accessibility issues. They sat us toward the back. The food presentation & service has also deteriorated.
We won't be tempted to go back again ... especially on a holiday. We've dined there for years on many special occasions. This was a very disappointing experience for our family.
Ruined family Easter brunch. Waited 30 minutes past reservation time to be seated. Hostess was rude. Food took over an hour and when it arrived one dish was burned black - even the server was surprised it was sent out like that. Took another 45 minutes for it to be replaced and by that time everyone else was done eating. Left with it in a bag. Other meals were just ok and the muffins were hard and powdery dry. Went later in the afternoon knowing it would be busy but was very disappointed overall.
Very disappointed. I usually don’t eat out on big holidays because it’s too busy, lackluster food, not enough staff, etc. I had expected Kincaids to be different.
We had to wait over 35” for our table, lots of people milling about.
Service was slow and the food felt mass produced, fish was dry, hamburger bun charred, the eggs for eggs Benedict were perfect, but the English muffin was rubbery and like it had been sitting around. The potato’s were cold .
Nothing seemed fresh, like it was just reheated. The muffins seemed old and not fresh.
Nothing was as I remembered from previous visits.
Our server was pleasant and tried hard, but it was just too busy.
I think I’ll have to avoid holidays in the future.
Did not get seated for a 1145 reservation until 1235, ordered food at 1245 arrived at the table at 1:25
Food was fabulous as always, the wait was horrendous.
Food was not that great. Dessert was good. But prices very very high and food should be commensurate. My food was cold my sons prime rib was ok not superior. It has been a long time since we have been there. Will not go back for fine dining any time soon. If spending that kind of money will choose another venue,
We have always loved Kincaid's, however, tonight we were disappointed. The food is almost always excellent, however, not tonight. We both ordered the date night special mahi mahi. It was recommended to us. The fish was dry and tasteless. The cherry bar-b-q sauce helped a little. It was supposed to come with mixed vegetables, but instead was served with kale. The kale was dry and had way too much garlic. The blue cheese salad was excellent as usual. The crème brule which is always good, was better than ever. The service was great as usual. It was nice to see Sarah and Gary. They are always very friendly. My boyfriend does not like kale and he mentioned it to the lady who served it. She said no problem, I can get you some mixed vegetables. He said that would be great. However, she never did bring them. When we were leaving we were asked how the food was. We were very honest and said we did not like it. This is the first time this has happened. We should have been given some kind of compensation. We never complain, and always have a positive experience there- not this time. We will still continue to dine there, unless this starts to become a pattern. Hopefully, not.
Celebrated our sons birthday. Asiago walleye was delicious and the Prime Rib never disappoints. Great service made for a memorable evening.
Had a quiet dinner for my father's 90th birthday. Food was good but not spectacular. Service was excellent.
Kincaids has been a favorite restaurant for years and it didn't fail to please this time. It is an occasion restaurant because we don't live nearby but the food was fantastic as always. It was my partners 75th birthday and he loved the birthday flan.
Menu is frequently refreshed, food is always excellent, staff is wonderful, atmosphere is pleasant, and more importantly, you can hear your dinner companions. Kincaids has the best French Onion soup, the other soups are also incredible. There is always a wide selection on the menu, something for everyone. Make reservations as the dining room fills up fast for both lunch and dinner. There is a bar area, it is also a great place to come to get a good cocktail. Not sure why this review wants more added, Kincaids is hard to beat on all the key food dining experiences
Very poor quality food and preparation--this survey is also annoying in requiring responses beyond what I wish to submit.
We came to celebrate a birthday and were pleasantly surprised with a birthday card and a wonderful dessert to share. The main entry and salad were ample portions and absolutely delicious. The staff made us feel "at home" and were very attentive.
This was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend eating at Kincaid's in Bloomington.
Celebrated my birthday with one of my best friends! Love the atmosphere at Kincaids! I had prime rib which was excellent! My friend had a chicken pasta dish & she really enjoyed it. We split the Maytag salad. It was really good. A little bit pricey but for the food quality, ambiance & wait staff service, it’s worth it. Also my waiter Patrick brought me a free dessert & birthday card too with complimentary appetizer for next visit! Wow! One of my best birthday dinners at a restaurant! Thank you Patrick & Kincaids!
Birthday event, 92 years old guest. Great service (including offering to take photo), good food too (with terrific creme brûlée!)
Two steaks out of 5 had to be sent back so while 3 of us are two had to wait for their food, that is frustrating.
Celebrated 2 birthdays and family together. Gluten-free food was delicious. Friendly and helpful service. This is one of our favorite places.
The food was good and the service was excellent.
My walleye was over cooked, husband's steak was tender but no flavor, friend had pork chop that should have been marinated more ,she felt. We will not be returning with the prices so high for such poor quality.
Right at the top: our server was AMAZING. Just the right amount of checking in and allowed us to enjoy our meal with our any awkward or inauthentic social interactions. She was fantastic.
The food was great. No complaints there.
What I didn’t quite understand when I made the reservation was that the restaurant is in the middle of a corporate office tower. No joke. That was my fault for blindly trusting the OT suggestion and not verifying it against a different app.
TL;DR — awesome place to go to swoon business associates (don’t forget your sweet frequent eater points membership card! They’ll ask you at the table). Not so much for an intimate 40th birthday dinner with your boyfriend.
Excellent work! I really don't have much more to add...
This is our "Go To" restaurant for all special occasions including anniversaries, birthdays, Thanksgiving & Easter, Sunday Brunch and out-of-town visitors. We've never been disappointed!
Kincaid’s used to be on our favorite list but each time we visit it drops down. Menu options limited. My wife ordered scallops and they were so few and so tiny she could hardly find them on the plate. Prime rib is no longer anything special. Waiter brought us the wrong bottle of wine which turned out to be more expensive. Don’t know if we will ever return. So many places now so much better. We miss the Kincaid’s of the past.
Our dining experience was exceptional. Quiet table (rare for Kincaid’s), attentive staff, great food and service. Orders were taken in a timely fashion and food was delivered promptly. Best New York strip I have had in quite awhile. A bit pricey, but for a special occasion, we would consider going back.
I no longer live in Minnesota, but when I come back, I always try to go to Kincaids.
We recently received a gift card after having a very poor Valentines Day food experience at the Kincaid’s in St. Paul. The fact that they sent us an nrewiested gift card is noble but we chose to use it at the Bloomington Kincaid’s to see if the experience was better. It was marginally.
The food was Ok, with the appetizer of crab and artichoke dip leading the way. The lobster bisque was tasty but cold by the time it was served. My wife’s fish and chips were ok but the fries were cold and just as mediocre as we experience in St. Paul. (They have no idea as to how to do high end fries.)
My Wagyu meatloaf was just okay, but for $21 you would think it wouldn’t have been cold on the inside, and laid upon cold mashed potatoes. Obviously, our food sat in the window for some time since the outside was warm and the insides were definitely cool.
With this said, everything was edible and at least all the menu items were available here, unlike the last experience. However, high end prices fo not result in high end food offerings at either Kincaid’s during lunch. I do not know why both have gone downhill but these are no longer a good lunchtime value option in the Twin Cities.
Time to give up on these for us.
I have had the best meals anywhere at kincaid's. They made Brussel sprouts taste good - that's magic.
