Kincaid's - Bloomington Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic brunch. I was disappointed at first, because I always love the salmon scramble. However, it is not longer on the menu. I ended up ordering the crab avocado poached eggs. They were wonderful. They made the eggs exactly the way I like them, and they even served them on Gluten Free bread for me. I would definitely get them again. John, our waiter, did a great job. Thank you.
Disappointed in the brunch t Kincaid’s. The quality of the food has gone down considerably. Muffins are nothing more than white flour cake. French toast was deep fried, and went uneaten at our table. Orange juice not fresh squeezed anymore. Sorry Kincaid’s, but we will not be back for brunch.
Kincaid's never disappoints. We've been dining at Kincaid's in Bloomington for 28 years and have never had a bad meal. Perhaps the first fine dining experience in the Minneapolis suburbs, certainly Bloomington's first and foremost, we've never had a meal or service that did not delight us. That's real staying power in a market that has only increased in competition in the same time-frame. Our most recent outing was for my wife's Birthday and our youngest son was able to join us. John, our server was outstanding and the food ordered from our appetizer of Kincaid's own special Artichoke-crab dip, to our crisp savory Caesar and Blue Cheese salads, followed Mahi-Mahi stuffed with crab and the Rack of lamb didn't disappoint in the least, each served at the perfect temperature with delicious accompaniment, and to top of a wonderful meal shared as a family celebration, burnt cream and pear- bread pudding desserts and fresh brewed coffee completed our wonderful meal together
We had a new colleague visiting our office today from New Jersey. We went to lunch and the food was superb. Our server, Sue, was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We love Kincaid's Bloomington to get out of the office for a bit and have also been here for birthdays and anniversaries. Thanks for keeping up the quality!
Kincaids is right by our house so it is convenient but also we try to get to Kincaids at least a couple of times a year. The food is expensive but very good. IF you haven't tried this restaurant I would definitely do so especially for a special occasion. The wait staff for the most part has been there a long time and it is really good, friendly service. We will go again.
We all just love Kincaids, the salmon is always a favorite of mine, it’s my daughter’s favorite too. My husband mixes it up a bit, his only complaint is they took the banana’s foster off the menu and it nearly broke his heart! lol!! Now though we get the chocolate cake with their homemade chocolate and carmel sauce and it’s just to die for. Kincaids offers great service, nice ambiance, and delicious food, I definitely would recommend them.
Went to Kincaid's for Thanksgiving. The appetizers were delicious, husband had the prawns, I and the kids had the crab dip. So good. My son and I had the rib eye. My son's was better than mine, I had a lot of fat and gristle. Over all it was really good. Desert was totally excellent.
visiting from another state and needed a place to have Thanksgiving dinner, Kincaid's did not disappoint. the atmosphere was great, food was good, didn't have the tea I requested but our server made it special for me, that was a nice touch. I thought the food was a lil pricy but since we were visiting and it was a holiday that made the difference. I would definitely recommend it. the food came out quickly and the manager also came by to see if everything was ok with our meal.
Pricey, but very good fresh fish special of halibut -- gorgeous preparation with very light Asagio crust and lovely beurre blanc sauce. No one will accuse them of serving over-cooked asparagus!
However, while crunchy, it was very flavorful, almost like farmer's market. The mashed potato side was just fine. Decent wine list - has been updated this year, which is good as it was the same for so long. Was quite surprised and dismayed by the unannounced "living wage service charge" that appeared on the final bill! Yikes, was 2.9% of the total bill -- and this was computed on not only our ordered food and wine, but also on the free birthday desserts and the $40 reward credit I was using. Underhanded and sneaky way to raise prices.
Kincaid’s had a wide variety on their menu. French onion soup was very good and traditional. Several folks ordered steaks with a dipping sauce which were good. The salmon had good flavor, but was over cooked; potatoes were great. Caesar salad was crisp and fresh, but the dressing had too much garlic. The chopped burger was good. Jerry, our server was great and very attentive. We would go back to Kincaid’s.
Seated right away, with a good table. Although all of the tables seem to be the right balance of privacy and ambiance. Selections were good, with pricing reasonable. Love their Maytag Blue Cheese Salad, which no longer shows up on the menu but will be served if you ask.
On this visit to my favorite restaurant some of the food wasn't hot and the flavor was missing its usual tastiness. I assume a new chef - definitely disappointing.
I've also noticed on recent visits that the hostesses are not warm and friendly which was always a hallmark of Kincaid's.
I'll always go back to Kincaid's but they need to step up their welcome committee and food.
We had a great experience at Kincaids in Bloomingon. We felt the St Paul location had gone downhill a bit and had had a couple not so great experiences there, so we decided to try the Bloomington location and it was much much better....the quality and professionalism we were hoping for. We will be back!
