Kincaid's - Bloomington
The food is always excellent. I go there for the lunch special regularly. But be mindful of peak lunch times during the holidays. My soup and salad took 43 minutes and the server was not all that present for refills.
Food was cold. Steaks were over cooked. Didn’t have Pork chops
Easy listening/christmas background music would be nice
All we ordered was delicious. Kincaids has elevated and returned to prior excellence!!
The meal was very good and the ambiance was also. Very friendly maître d’ and service personnel.
Wonderful dinner this weekend- scallops with risotto in particular was excellent. Atypical though was that we felt rushed and service was less attentive though it wasn’t too busy . Entree came before we had half finished salads and I had to flag the server to get another glass of wine instead of typical proactive ask about more drinks from servers.
Otherwise, great evening and dinner.
Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Great service and atmosphere! Would differentially dine here again
We have been to Kincaid’s a number of times over the years, enjoying the ambiance and food.
This was our second visit for our Thanksgiving dinner. Even though the turkey dinner last year was a disappointment, we were willing to give them another try. Unfortunately, it was just as disappointing.
My husband ordered the turkey dinner which was tasteless, the dressing tasted like paste. The cranberries were okay only.
I ordered the Corvina which was delicious, except for the side of braised kale, that had a definite “off” flavor.
When I told the waiter, he took it away, offering no comment or apology!
An hour after we arrived home, i was in the bathroom very sick, losing what seemed like most of my dinner.
Also, drinks very pricey...$19 for martini!
Ps. the clam chowder and lobster bisque were great!
Somewhat disappointing this Thanksgiving. Our server was very friendly but not attentive, and our food was not hot. It was not crowded when we were there, so volume was not the problem.
Excellent Thanksgiving meal, no rosemary bread or rolls were offered though. That would have been nice and we forgot to tell our server our rewards number so no credit for that. Kincaids is 1 of my favorite places!
Celebrating thanksgiving and two birthdays. Great food, atmosphere and service. Always a treat to come to Kincaid’s.
Always appreciate the knowledgeable, efficient, professional and friendly staff! Always accommodating. Best staff in the area! Varied menu. Inspired preparation. A little pricey...
Loved our evening there. Relaxed, quiet, excellent food and amazing service.
Great food and great service
Scallop were large (6) and luscious; steak tender and perfection; vegetables grand; waitstaff (Jay) was attentive to our group-2 persons celebrating birthdays and a couple celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We arrived early for dining (4:30pm) to avoid traffic and noise. Appreciated the privacy the booth afforded us-very good experience overall.'
Early dining with waitress providing good information along with service. Only mistake was the "warm" bread was not very warm or hot. Meal was excellent.
Great food, service. Hard to find. It's hidden in an office complex
Service was excellent. Kincaid’s is a consistent, efficient place for a business lunch. Food is good, but nothing extraordinary.
The service was average. The food came out luke warm. Not to the level of fine dining I was expecting. Room for improvement. There are much better small fine dining restaurants south of the river.
Artichoke dip was ok but the bread was cold and not toasted. Halibut was excellent.
The place has sort of lost its way.
Still a good place eat after 40-50 year, but no longer outstanding. Too bad.
A little noisy with outside patio concrete being removed with jackhammers.
We have eaten at Kincaids many times and had picked this restaurant for a business outing. Another party was paying so we did it make a big deal about the food, but we did not receive a single course that was served at a hot temperature...everything was luke-warm. A couple people who ordered steak barely ate any bc the steak was cold.
Also need to have more high-end wines in your cellar. We had wanted Caymus and there was only one bottle available and that for ordered out from under us.
Hey friend wanted to go out for a nice meal and dress up. Kincaid’s was a restaurant she had always wanted to go. We did have a nice date due to a nice atmosphere but it became awkward when it came to sharing food and that part of the experience.
The food came out lukewarm at best and under seasoned. The highlight of the meal were the green beans.
As a guest chef in Duluth and a newspaper publisher that markets 30- plus restaurants for 20 years I’ve not really had an experience quite like it.
The bill ($150) is triple the cost for most meals in our region. The one positive that comes to mind is the fact that our restaurants up north are doing an excellent job.
I’m 57 years old and have never complained before. Just felt I would want to know if I was the owner.

Generous portions, food came out hot, very delicious. Maytag blue cheese salad was amazing. Clam chowder was a tad too thick but still tasty. Halibut entree prepared very nicely and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade. Seafood fettuccini was loaded with seafood and had a nice sauce that didn’t over power the seafood flavors. Decor is a little dated.
Great food and service. Our favorite place to spend a special date.
The entire experience was excellent. Our wait staff was courteous and attentive, but not overbearing. The food was piping hot and delicious. Because we were celebrating a birthday a special dessert treat was served. This was a delightful surprise.
Great food quiet Sunday great time for dinner
Was my husband and my Anniversary, second time at Kincaids. Was amazing, from the moment we stepped in. First time we went was in 2009, everything was fabulous then too. Our waiter was Jerry, he was the nicest most on top of things waiter we've ever had. When we go back again, we hope to get him again.
I have been in the bar for Happy Hour a few times recently and enjoyed the appetizers and especially the pea salad but had not had dinner for a couple of years. We went for dinner last Saturday and were very pleased with everything. We split the pea salad as our appetizer - delicious! The parmesan and asiago crispy coated sea scallops were delicious, as were the short ribs. The sides that came with each complemented the entrees perfectly. The choice of wine by the glass was varied and interesting and the dessert - pumpkin cheesecake - was creamy and flavorful -- Yum! Service was attentive and very pleasant - a perfect evening.
Kincaid's is one of the better experiences for formal dining. The was prepared perfectly and the food presentation was fit for the savvy. Kincaid's also has a wide variety of wines and spirits to indulge in. I would recommend it for any occasion. The staff are efficient and knowledgeable .
Usually very good, however not great on this Friday night visit. Service was very good. Temperature of food was poor. My dinner tasted great (chops) but clearly had been sitting for quite awhile and was at room temperature. Kids fries also clearly hadnt come out of fryer recently. My spouses dinner had a better temperature but tasted as though seasoning was added twice. Overly salty and portioning was really skimpy - looked more like a starter. Pecan pie special sounded great but poor execution. carmelized bacon was cold like it came right out of the fridge from a previous day and had very little sweetness. Pie was not warm and tasted like it was just cut out of a commercial pie. Really disappointing for a high end restaurant. Not anywhere close to our usual experience here so will presume it was an off night and try once more.
It was great as usual. The service, food, atmosphere, and value were terrific. I love it here.
The wait staff was exceptional and food outstanding. It was the best Walleye I've ever had!
Food was great and the service by Jay was even better.
Food was great and the service was even better with Jordan
We had a great evening there, however, we did not like the fact that my husband was sitting in a walk way with peoe walking around him constantly. I guess we should have asked to be moved.
We love coming there but sitting in a walk was was disappointing when there were empty spaces all over.
Ambience and service was on par with expectations of a first class restaurant. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The food was a slight problem. We ordered prime rib and while the exterior portion of the cut was juicy and tender, the interior of the slice was somewhat tough and difficult to cut using a steak knife, although still very flavorful. Not sure what the problem was. It seems though that we didn’t get “prime” rib roast, but some lesser grade of beef.
