Despite having a reservation we waited almost 5 minutes to be seated. A simple Caesar salad with chicken was ordered and looked terrible. We were never asked how her food was, nor did the server inquire why myself or my guest at the table head much of the salad that was served. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
We were in town for 2 nights and our dinner was so good we went back the next night for more!!
Wonderful food great service. I was very comfortable with their social distance ability. I love how it’s never too loud. You can actually have a conversation without shouting
The food is excellent and, surprising to many, reasonably priced. The wait staff was first rate.
Food was quite good, as usual. It wasn't as relaxing as previous visits. Lovely atmosphere there but then had rock music playing loud enough to slightly interfere with conversation, which is why I take people there. Now I love the music, but not when I'm trying to have relaxing dinner conversation.
Great food, atmosphere, parking, service. Got a free dessert for celebrating a birthday
Fantastic!
First visit in over a decade. Kincaid’s is still one if the best restaurants
Gotcha Day
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Had Valentine’s Day dinner at Kincaid’s. Food was great and service attentive. Set menu was great and nicely priced. The setting is the same as it was 30 years ago...a bit dated, but still a winner.
The entire staff contributed to make our Valentine’s dinner experience extraordinary.
We made this reservation for their Valentine Day's promotion. The menu was good, but the main course of lobster tails was disappointing. The original order that came out had once perfectly prepared lobster tail with the second one obviously inedible. The staff failed initially on this one from the chef, to the expediter, to the person who delivered the food. I watched numerous entrees being served with none of the others having this issue. They took the inedible one away and brought back a replacement. By the time it arrived I was already done with my meal while my wife had to wait.
Kincaid's never disappoints! Food was absolutely delicious and the service awesome! It was so nice to see the restaurant have "energy" on Valentine's Eve, esp with Covid logistics and the bitter cold. Wonderful experience!
Appreciate what you say but to me it was not just another meal.. Kincaids has been my pandemic survival kit. They have kept me
Sane and hopeful that they and we will
Come Out of this on the other side, largely intact! Thanks to Kincaids and the faithful people that make it the amazing place that it is!
Very good as usual but staff seemed confused and lost at times... but covid and a different time that being said would go back again and again.
Server had too many tables and was very distracted. She had a very hard time getting the order correct. Food was okay but certainly not was our expectations were
Loved our Valentine's day date at Kincaid's.
My honey was pleased and so was I.
Thanks for the great service and attitude!
Kincaid's of Bloomington, MN is one of the most appealing spaces for a fine meal that I have enjoyed. The ambience is delightful. From the front desk to all of the service people the air is competent and professional. The quality of the food and its preparation is top notch.
Kincaid's always does a great job - service, food and safety (important at this time). It is still a top choice for business or pleasure.
Carl took wonderful care of us for a celebration dinner. Always a great meal and beverages at Kincaids.
Kincaids has gone downhill and we will not dine here again. Our 8:00 reservation was confirmed but when we called to say we were running 5 minutes late, we were rudely told that the kitchen closed at 8 and if we wanted to come we needed to order right away. We were rushed through the meal, main course came out when I was halfway through my salad and I had to send my meal back twice because the steak was raw in the middle.
Very disappointed! We were celebrating a birthday and Kincaids missed the mark.
What a treat! Food was excellent, and our waitress was fabulous too. Definitely will be going back!!
It is a relative ok restaurant. Strongly recommend the Ribs.
Food was great. Service was a little lacking, we just felt forgotten at times and we had over a 300$ bill for 4 people, so that’s not such a great feeling when you’re spending that kind of money on one dinner and it was a celebration with clear gifts and what not being presented. No mention or offer of anything. Again though the food was amazing.
Great service and food. I wish the menu had a few more non-meat options but I assume it’s scaled back due to Covid. It was our first time dining out in months and we felt good about their safety measures in place. We will be back!
Let's start out saying that when my entree was served, he spilled a glass of ice water on me. Ribs were average, coleslaw well below average and wasn't touched after the first taste. Wife's steak very good, plain mashed potatoes complimented and the green beans were cooked and seasoned well. And I sat and ate while wearing wet jeans.
Great dinner experience. Service and food was excellent. We had the salmon and would highly recommend it. Bread pudding was amazing! Big open and airy dining room plus very good spacing.
Kincaids, like many restaurants are working from a limited menu and struggling to know how to staff adequately. Having been there on several occasions prior to the pandemic I was always impressed with the entire experience. This experience was less than what I've come to expect. 20 minutes after ordering we were informed that 2 of the items we ordered were not available and 15 minutes later our food came out. The Filet's were cold as were the mashed potato side. We were a party of 4 and after our second bottle of wine we were told we needed to order something else as they only had those 2. I would think with a limited menu they could at least get what was on the menu right. I'll go back but not until after they've returned to normal operation. Luckily we weren't entertaining clients. It would have been very embarrassing. Finally the poor server was obviously overwhelmed and doing her best but spent more time apologizing than anything else. I've managed restaurants in the past and from my perspective our less than Kincaid's expected experience lays entirely on management.
No issues re social distancing - Kincaids has blocked tables to ensure people do not sit too close together. We had a great window seat. Service was excellent. We both had the fish and chips. The quantity was more than sufficient. The tartar sauce is very unique and good. Everything was tasty and just the right temperature. We enjoyed our meal!
Celebrated husband’s birthday. The food was yummy and loved the ambience!
Because of covid, dining out has been limited. The Sat eve we visited, it was snowy out so the restaurant was not busy and yet, the tables that were full were in close proximity to one another. The food and the service was great but we did not feel comfortable with the spacing of the diners. We probably won't return until covid is more under control.
Service was superb. Food was amazing. Very quite and nice ambiance. Well spaced for social distancing. Definitely recommend.
Asiago walleye is the bomb. One of my favorites.
The food and drinks were amazing as always. The service however was disappointingly.
Thank you to Kinkaid's for keeping customer tables distanced, and since the environment is like an "atrium", very good ventilation. The menu has been cut back, which is understandable with Covid. We still had a good salad, with added protein, and a glass of wine. So nice to be at a restaurant.
KIncaid's has always been great - and January 20th was no exception. Great server (Jerry); wonderful suggestions for food and wine. It was our anniversary - Kincaid's and Jerry made it special. And great job on social-distancing - lots of space (sad to see - but thank you).
One menu suggestion - my wife and I have a few dietary restrictions . . . . . some of the food preparation details (ingredients) are missing from the menu. Jerry knew his stuff - but there were a few missteps from us (that he thankfully caught).
Great dinner. We had a table near the windows and we were both COLD. Very drafty. Left feeling chilled. We tried to put napkins on our shoulders to break the cold draft. A special evening but won't go back in the winter unless we keep our coats on.
I haven't been to Kincaids in quite some time.
Two people ordered the Walleye special, which was very good.
One ordered Salmon, it was "so so, nothing special".
I ordered Prime Rib. It was very "chewy" and not very flavorful at all.
Cocktail were very skimpy in size for the price.
As always, Kincaid's is a wonderful, classy, quiet place that we tremendously enjoy escaping into when we want a delicious dinner, chance for soft conversation, and just to relax. Strongly recommend.
