I always come here so I pretty much know what to expect. Across the board, a very qualified experience in terms of what I have experienced here before. Only thing that could have been better was my rice for the crab & lobster stuffed sole. Some of the rice was not cooked/was raw, but other than that, EVERYTHING else that was ordered was good. Will definitely still come back. Drinks, apps, and dessert are always good.
Food was not very hot but was tasty. Service was very good.
Good meal, quiet enough to have a conversation & nice water views.
Service and food were terrible this evening. Waited a very long time for the main course. When we asked about our Oder it seemed like there was an issue. Our meals he’d never been ordered and nearly 45 minutes after we finished our salads our undercooked steaks arrived. Terrible serv
Our waitress was clearly catering to the two tables to the side of us and ignoring my wife and I. Bad service, ok food, too expensive for what we got. Will not be going back. We complained to the manager. We got an apology. SMH. I would have left a minimal tip except the waitess returned $20s only. She must have thought she earned it, NOT!
The appetizers where amazing. The food came in a timely manner. It was a wonderful experience.
This was a very pleasurable surprise. The food and
The table by the water. The whole night was awesome.
The waitress forgot our appetizer. I didn’t care for their version of New England clam chowder. I asked for some fresh sourdough and I got a piece of bread that was pre-baked and buttered, hard as a rock. My entree, the artichoke ravioli with braised short ribs was very bland. The dessert was very chocolatey. No need for the chocolate drizzle on the side. Not much attention from server and took very long to get the check and leave.
Service was good, but food was bland. No flavor for the price.
The new menu has great options! As always excellent service. Having options on the menu is a great thing, but even better is having the food taste as good as the menu description! This does. Am always happy to dine here.
Meals were not special. Took simple items and tried to enhance, did not work. Prices are high. Lovely location, scenic view.
I made open table reservations and there was no problem as it was to be a late birthday dinner for our son. We were running late and I called and there was no problem. When we arrived, we got seated and decided to order some starters like oysters on a half shell and fried calamari with drinks. Son had a moscow mule with beer chaser and daughter and I shared a raspberry mojito as we both had an early day the next day.
Both son and daughter ordered the filet mignon with the lobster tail. Husband ordered the pork chops and I had the grilled salmon. All appetizers and entrees were hearty and delicious but the filet mignon could have been alittle more tender. The pork chops were A-ok and grilled salmon very buttery and tender. Service was excellent and attentive and she even remembered to bring a special dessert for the birthday boy! Creme brulee for all to share, yummy! Our son felt very special that night.
Window seat on a weeknight. Great atmosphere, nice view. Food was fair at best. Had the wagu steak special, VERY small portion, almost like one of these joke diet plates where the plate is like 10x bigger than the food. Wedge salad was good, key lime pie was not overly sweet. Bread was a winner, large wine selection. Back to food... although small portion, very tasty. A couple others had the meatloaf, like nothing we've ever experiences. Mince meat in a filo dough, very mushy and tasteless. DO NOT ORDER IT! All enjoyed their meal but not a good value overall.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary here. We’re both Oakland natives and it was our virgin trip, it was absolutely amazing. Our server, Genice was delightful, attentive and not over hovering. We’ll definitely be back real soon. Hmmm, my birthday is coming up, perhaps...❤️
Our entrees were so huge, we had doggy bags. 🐶
Great find! A jewel in Jack London Square! Great food! Great service!
Although we made a reservation, we were made to still wait on the line. This is unacceptable.
The menu has been drastically changed. The veggies on my lobster plate and on my wife's scallop plate looked like leftovers. The scallops and the veggies were bland. The best window seats are too close together. I requested a window table when I made the reservation. The table we had was blocked by a post near where the boats dock. Not a good view and too dark to take pictures. The lobster that I paid &50.00 for came in a pair, which together made a small to medium lobster. The scallops asiago which my wife craved were no longer on the menu. Too bad Red Lobster doesn't have a waterfront view because they have a more varied menu with food that tastes like you don't mind paying for and even greater service. We spent &110.00 plus a $15.00 tip for a meal that neither one of us enjoyed. I don't think we'll be back to my wife's former favorite restaurant.
Thanks for allowing me to get that off my chest.

The worst ever! I’ve been coming here for years. I had a reservation but had to wait. When we finally got seated we had to ask twice for water. Our waitress was horrible!
We always enjoy dinner by the water, had an excellent corner window with full view of the sunset and boats passing by and the marina. Parking validation for the garage in Jack London Square making our visit easy and not expensive for parking.
Our server was new and did not have very good etiquette in serving (she should have been shadowing someone else). The steak ordered was medium rare and came out raw, purple. Had to send it back. Frustrating to pay so much money on food and service and both were lacking.
The food was delicious. We had a great spot . And absolutely LOVED OUR WAITER!
The service is exceptional. Our waitress was able to modify the menu to give us just what we were looking for. The shrimp is amazing.
Great views, service, and flavors. It's a little pricey to go just for fun, but just right for a special occasion.
Great service and ambiance, but food was a tad bland.
Amazing food and service! Huge fan of their shrimp and grits, oysters and artichoke dip for appetizers. As for meals, everything is good!
The meal took over 30 minutes to be served. We both ordered beef at medium rare and both plates came out rare. The food was good, though, and the place is right on the water in Jack London Square with a good ambiance.
Mediocre food and inattentive service, never acknowledged it was my best friend's birthday, made us wait 20 minutes between his appearing again. For the very hefty price tag and given so many other options in Oakland/East Bay, I would definitely not return.
Took them almost 30 mins to seat us and they seated several tables ahead of us even though we had a reservation, but gave us a free appetizer and apologized for the wait. Wait staff was friendly but not super knowledgeable about the food. You’re paying for the view because the food is mediocre. Except for the crab dip, that was delish!
We werent greeted very warmly and our table wasnt ready. The lighting was too bright. Other than that, the service food and drinks were perfect!
We came here to celebrate my dad. It was a casual yet elegant place! Perfect for a family or group of friends. The food was classic and tasty even my 6 year old had a wonderful grilled cheese! We have been coming here for years and will continue to return!
Great food! Great service! Great seats! It was a perfect spot to take my mentees (high school students) to learn about fine dining and ambiance! Watched a couple having a romantic lunch and a large group celebrate someone's birthday. Our waiter was on point and even supported my special request. Overall it was an excellent experience for me and my students!
When we arrived before our 6:00 reservation we were told to wait. After about 10 minutes we were seated. We had a nice view. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. We order appetizers and tea. They came out along with some bread. The bread was great. The oysters were as well. Cesar salad had croutons that could break your teeth but whatever. We ordered our meals. My husband ordered Prime Rib. I ordered Peppercorn Crusted NY Strip Steak. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. The prime rib was rubbery and had little to no flavor. The NY strip had no peppercorn flavor at all. When the waitress returned and asked about our food, We politely told her. She offered to fix things but boy did she certainly have an attitude change. We did enjoy the dessert.
We don't get to go out very often (once or twice a year as we need a special caregiver (nurse) to attend to our severely handicapped daugnter. I had made the reservation early and was looking forward to a table on the water. We were not given one and asked to be moved. The staff and host were incredibly acommodating and got us a table on the water! What a great experience! Thanks to all who helped us have a special night out!
I went with my boyfriend for a belated Valentine’s Date. It was absolutely delicious. I got the prime rib and we shared the chocolate indulgence cake. Incredibleeeee.
The servers were so kind and accommodating. It definitely feels like a place I’d love to return to for a future romantic night with my partner.
We also went before dinner rush, and got an amazing seat by the windows with a beautiful of the sunset over the water!
Made reservations for Valentine’s Day. Seated on time at a nice window table. From the Valentine’s Day menu; we had the oysters which were tiny, the lobster bisque was good but not great, the 12oz prime rib was ok but more like medium rare than medium and the sides were very over cooked. Chocolate cake dessert good but again average. Service was friendly but rushed and forgot multiple things, also served the wrong wine. Overall disappointing, wouldn’t come here again on a holiday, seems like the quality is affected when it’s too busy.
Food was cold and under cooked but great location
Had a lovely Valentine's dinner, her lobster tails were fabulous. Service was a little uneven as both the appetizer and the soup arrived at the exact same moment, then we had a long gap until the main course.
Long wait on drinks and entree
Small serving on salmon dish and .
Had a nice choice of appetizers.
Crab and Artichoke dip-GREAT
Clam Chowder-only okay
Maytag Blue Cheese salad-GREAT
Oven roasted SALMON-GOOD
