Always enjoy dining st Kincaid’s - variety of food choice excellent and environment on the waterfront excellent.
Dinner for 2, waterfront dining- excellent choice and the reservation through open table was exactly as I requested!
The food was delicious and served hot, waitress was attentive but not overbearing and she made suggestions and gave her opinion when asked.
Relaxed atmosphere, with excellent waterfront view as the sun was setting.
Prices of the menu items might have been a little steep but I would go there again if I am in the neighborhood.
Nice view. Good food. Good variety on the menu. A nice setting for a business lunch or dinner.
Had a great corner table by the window and we were excited to see the sunset but then got cloudy. Our server was excellent and food was good.
Kinkaid's on the Oakland Estuary has always served a reasonable and tasty meal. Every time I requested window seating on Open Table, the obliged. Staff is friendly and efficient.
My meal and my daughter's meal was very good, but my granddaughter's meal had hair in it which was very disappointing. She did get another plate to go because the hair had grossed her out. I would still recommend this place.
We always go to Kincaids for Easter brunch with our family. However, this year the food took too long to arrive well over an hour and we were told the kitchen was backed up. One of our meals was prepaird over cooked. Three of the crab benedic'st had 1 piece of crab. The waitress told the chef and they brought us more crab.
After we shared the over cooked beef , the manager said he would take it back bring another dish by this time we were almost done and my brother in law didn't want the dish. However, it was brought out he tried a few bits and didn't want it.
They did take his dish off the bill but the whole expeience was disappointing.
Decent place. Fried calamari was soggy and oily so I don't recommend. The Eggs Benedict with crab had about 1/2 tablespoon of crab, but the rest was good. Our server was super nice and attentive and the view is very nice. So just OK. Not bad but nothing memorable. I wish Il Pescatore would reopen!
Darren was energetic, knowledgable and just an all around great waiter! Our easter brunch was fantastic. The prime rib hash was excellent, what a treat!
Very accommodating when I needed to add a fourth to my reservation. Waitress friendly, but very busy (Easter Sunday brunch), service slow. Over easy eggs weren't cooked completely (egg white somewhat clear and runny), otherwise meals were delicious. Have been to Kincaid's many times, and have usually had great meal and service.
Our meals were awful. We sent them all back. The cream for the coffee was curdled.
Food is good, but not exceptional. Friendly waiter did a good job. The preparation of food slow. Kincaid’s is extremely overpriced. Total bill for four was $335.00.
The service was great and so were the drinks. The view is amazing and relaxing. The food was horrible. I have been sick for two days. The food tasted and looked like a Senior center’s cafeteria. Awful.
Not only was the food delicious, the staff were awesome very attentive. Our waitess I believe her name was Chritstine was over the top. We did not have to ask for anything. She also suggested drinks and food that were right on!
I've been going to Kincaid's for 20+ years. The food was always very good and so was the service until Friday, March 30th. We had a reservation for 8 people at 630p. We were celebrating my aunt's 62nd bday. After about 1 hour and 45 mins manager Yao Liow asked our party to move from the dining room to the bar area as they needed that particular area for a large party. Keep in mind 2 of my family members were still eating. We should have realized they wanted us to move as the server brought the bill while we were still eating and we hadn't even ordered dessert. My family was upset so we decided to just wrap up dinner and leave. My cousin posted a yelp review regarding our experience and the manager (Yao Liow) responded on yelp that they tried to accommodate us even though we didn't have a reservation. Next time make a reservation and he will ensure that doesn't happen again. Again, we had a reservation which was acknowledged upon checking in at the restaurant. The manager was rude that evening and even more inappropriate in his yelp response implying we didn't have a reservation when he knew we did trying to save face on social media. Regardless, everybody's money is green. You don't ask one party to move to accommodate another party. It was even more hurtful to my family as 8 Black women were being asked to move to accommodate a Caucasian family. I really hope that was just an unfortunate coincidence. Nonetheless, we won't return.
We had a lovely time at Kincaid's. The staff treated us very well, including the member of our party with mobility limitations. The view of the waterfront was perfect. The food was exactly as advertised, well-prepared, and satisfying. We were celebrating one person's birthday, and she declared it her best birthday dinner ever.
The best part of the restaurant was the people. We arrived early and the host held a window table. We wanted to have a drink on the patio, but was told they don't serve on the patio but we could pick up the drinks at the bar and carry them out ourselves. The server was very flexible as to menu adjustments. Good place
The service was excellent. I had the jambalaya and it didn't last very long due to the fabulous taste it presented. This venue deserves a definite return.
Excellent ambiance right on the water. Staff is friendly, food is excellent and served timely. We will be back on our next visit to Jack London square.
Run down, middle of the road food. Good server
I always come here so I pretty much know what to expect. Across the board, a very qualified experience in terms of what I have experienced here before. Only thing that could have been better was my rice for the crab & lobster stuffed sole. Some of the rice was not cooked/was raw, but other than that, EVERYTHING else that was ordered was good. Will definitely still come back. Drinks, apps, and dessert are always good.
Food was great! We waited an hour for our drinks along with several other hiccups. Unfortunately the worst service we had ever experienced. Thanks to the Manager for saving the day!
I love having appetizers and a good cocktail while watching the boats on the bay.
Kincaid‘s is a classic restaurant and I’ve enjoyed it for years. Yet the menu and staff need a slight upgrade. Kincaid needs a new vibe or .... we’ll see how it fares with stiff competition all around it.
Food was not very hot but was tasty. Service was very good.
Good meal, quiet enough to have a conversation & nice water views.
Service and food were terrible this evening. Waited a very long time for the main course. When we asked about our Oder it seemed like there was an issue. Our meals he’d never been ordered and nearly 45 minutes after we finished our salads our undercooked steaks arrived. Terrible serv
Our waitress was clearly catering to the two tables to the side of us and ignoring my wife and I. Bad service, ok food, too expensive for what we got. Will not be going back. We complained to the manager. We got an apology. SMH. I would have left a minimal tip except the waitess returned $20s only. She must have thought she earned it, NOT!
The appetizers where amazing. The food came in a timely manner. It was a wonderful experience.
This was a very pleasurable surprise. The food and
The table by the water. The whole night was awesome.
The waitress forgot our appetizer. I didn’t care for their version of New England clam chowder. I asked for some fresh sourdough and I got a piece of bread that was pre-baked and buttered, hard as a rock. My entree, the artichoke ravioli with braised short ribs was very bland. The dessert was very chocolatey. No need for the chocolate drizzle on the side. Not much attention from server and took very long to get the check and leave.
Great place!
Service was good, but food was bland. No flavor for the price.
The new menu has great options! As always excellent service. Having options on the menu is a great thing, but even better is having the food taste as good as the menu description! This does. Am always happy to dine here.
Meals were not special. Took simple items and tried to enhance, did not work. Prices are high. Lovely location, scenic view.
I made open table reservations and there was no problem as it was to be a late birthday dinner for our son. We were running late and I called and there was no problem. When we arrived, we got seated and decided to order some starters like oysters on a half shell and fried calamari with drinks. Son had a moscow mule with beer chaser and daughter and I shared a raspberry mojito as we both had an early day the next day.
Both son and daughter ordered the filet mignon with the lobster tail. Husband ordered the pork chops and I had the grilled salmon. All appetizers and entrees were hearty and delicious but the filet mignon could have been alittle more tender. The pork chops were A-ok and grilled salmon very buttery and tender. Service was excellent and attentive and she even remembered to bring a special dessert for the birthday boy! Creme brulee for all to share, yummy! Our son felt very special that night.
Window seat on a weeknight. Great atmosphere, nice view. Food was fair at best. Had the wagu steak special, VERY small portion, almost like one of these joke diet plates where the plate is like 10x bigger than the food. Wedge salad was good, key lime pie was not overly sweet. Bread was a winner, large wine selection. Back to food... although small portion, very tasty. A couple others had the meatloaf, like nothing we've ever experiences. Mince meat in a filo dough, very mushy and tasteless. DO NOT ORDER IT! All enjoyed their meal but not a good value overall.
We celebrated our 25th anniversary here. We’re both Oakland natives and it was our virgin trip, it was absolutely amazing. Our server, Genice was delightful, attentive and not over hovering. We’ll definitely be back real soon. Hmmm, my birthday is coming up, perhaps...❤️
Our entrees were so huge, we had doggy bags. 🐶
Great find! A jewel in Jack London Square! Great food! Great service!
Although we made a reservation, we were made to still wait on the line. This is unacceptable.
