Kincaid's Bayhouse - Oakland
Celebrating my 55th Birthday was so nice with my two besties. We had a good time despite a snafu with food items which was immediately corrected. Thanks Kincaid’s for making my Birthday so pleasant.
The ambiance was very nice, restaurant was relatively quiet. The food service personnel were very attentive but we never felt rushed. The bartender service was also very good but understated, The as always was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
The food here is typically good. Very pricey however with some menu items.
Our waiter needs more customer service training. Should be polite he needs to interruptin a conversation like “excuse me”....Some knowledge of alcohol beverage so he/she can make suggestions especially if customer is not sure what to have.
Weekday business lunch. Water view. Quiet enough, private enough. Good menu choices. Very good service. Attentive, not intrusive.
Great view, beautiful ambiance and delicious food. Our waitress was kind but was a bit slow and forgot some of our requests. But overall wonderful experience!
Birthday- loved the experience
I ordered the breakfast, English Muffins, Bacon, Potatoes and Eggs. I told the waiter, eggs soft. When my dish came, the eggs were hard and look like they were old, So I reordered the eggs, still was not soft the way I like them, but better, the potatoes had good favor, but looked old and was given a very little amount. English Muffin and bacon was fine. I use to visit Kincaids back in the day for HR and it was good. Oh, The Calamari appetizer and the Lemon Drop was on hit.
Fantastic in every way! Ambiance, food, service, people, desserts. A great experience to be enjoyed with family and friends and significant others! A Five star plus rating!
Very nice...window view was pretty, food was good and our service was excellent...!
I hadn’t been to Kincaids in several years. So disappointed with our dinner. We had a reservation but certainly didn’t need one. There were 2 tables at 6. When we left at 7:30 there were 7 tables. It was sad but understandable. Our steaks lacked quality, vegetables were over cooked and mashed potatoes were lukewarm. I would rate the food a C- The high point was out server. She was friendly, responsive and attentive. But her friendliness couldn’t overcome the bad food. We will not be back. Sad to see a restaurant that used to thrive fall so far.
Absolutely great evening with family food was scrumptious and everyone was pleased with their meal...all different. Our waitress Christian (not sure of spelling) she was patient, helpful in sharing tips on the meals, personable and very accommodating. Thank you for our wonderful experience.
Fabulous food. Beautiful view of sailboats and paddle boarders. Wonderful time celebrating birthdays.
I've walked past Kincaid's at least a dozen times and I'm so glad I finally popped in. Great view, friendly service (especially the delightful Swedish bartender named Pia), and terrific food. I'll definitely be back, with friends or a date.
Three out of four entrees were acceptable to good. My prime rib was sub-par -- the meat being very scrappy and cooked medium well instead of medium rare as ordered. My vegetables were also a strange mix with under-cooked onions and over-cooked (almost burnt) carrots and squash. Calamari appetizer was OK with good dipping sauces and garlic bread was excellent.
It was a really nice place to eat. Nice view and the employees were amazing. Definitely would go eat there again!
My experience was wonderful: great food, fantastic view and excellent service.
The menu selection was great...something for everyone! The food was delicious and the ambience was most pleasant as we gazed out at the water. I can’t say enough about our server as she was fantastic!
I was hoping to enjoy an upscale dining experience ( Kincaid’s business casual dress code ) but it turned out to be an everyday low scale bar and grill.
The wait was long, the food was cold and lacked seasoning. Waiters are nowhere to be found. I went for the first time to celebrate my bday and had a bad experience will not come back again.
The restaurant floor was not clean. The service wasn't attentive considering it was not very crowded. The steak was not cooked the way it was ordered and had to be sent back. There were mistakes on our bill. It was not a pleasant experience, especially for the price.
The view was very nice and they did deduct a drink from our order for the inconvenience.
It was awesome! Very nice & friendly waiter and the food was very good.
Great setting on the water. Very good food at good prices. The staff creates an unusually comfortable atmosphere. We go there several times a year.
Kincaids will always be my favorite restaurant
We loved our romantic dinner! Food was fresh and hot and suoer delicious.
We have always enjoyed the Kincaid restaurants. This time, the espresso machine was not working so we couldn't get lattes, cappuchinos, etc for our lunch. The brewed coffee was only warm, very unsatisfactory. Food was very nice and it was a beautiful day to watch the freighters dock at the port.
Our waitress was outstanding. Very attentive. Very pleasant. Thank you
I would definitely recommend Kincaid as a decent restaurant with adequate standards. The food was good and the wait staff were proper and excellent. The food itself was tasty and well prepared although the ambience was somewhat cafeteria like compared to four four and five star standards but did offer a minimally decent view. The person I was with took a sip of a drink and immediately returned as it was not to her expectations and was given a replacement. And although it does not often happen, I found it tasteless that the drink (in comparison to the limited experiences I’ve had with other restaurants, bars, and social venues in the last 30 years) was not removed from the bill; nevertheless, I gave a proper tip in respect to the staff. In my opinion , if you want to decent meal, go to Kincaids, but if you want to impress someone, go elsewhere.
Just as good as 15 years ago. Consistent, beautiful, and friendly staff. A true gem on the water.
My favorite Bay Area venue. Love the food and appreciate the great service! Always a winning experience.
Using open table is so easy. Requested corner window table and got it with only a few minutes delay for the request. Saturday night 8pm resv is great for beating the crowd. The tomahawk pork chop and my wife’s scallops were excellent. I’ve been here before but not for a few years. Highly recommended. Will return soon.
Even though our food was served late, the manager informed us of the slight glitch and was apologetic which made our evening that much better. Excellent customer service at best and would return and recommend to family, friends, and associates
I am never disappointed when I dine at Kincaids’s. The service, food and views are consistently outstanding. I have eaten at their restaurants in Redondo Beach, Oakland, Bloomington and St Paul, all great!
We had to ask the waitress for more water and refills for our drinks. Also she forgot the lime but apologized. We also had to ask for bread. Otherwise, food was delicioud
We had six for dinner and were well-served, and it was fast. Prices are extreme and we will be skipping it in the future for that reason. Also, several of us wanted an item and they said they ran out of it at 5 pm. We arrived for dinner at 5:30. And it was a Monday. Very very disappointing. The Oakland Estuary is a nice walk and sundowns are pretty, but we will not be back. Disappointing experience.
We had lunch for my husband’s birthday. Our waitress was spectacular! The views even better! Food was delicious and served quickly & hot. Enjoyed it very much!!
great food , and excellent service . actually the best service from any restaurant in recent memory. start to finish a very nice experience
It was great. Always great. The chowder is the best as is the vm seafood Louie.
Great dinner .. great ambiance . I would recommend
Very slow service. Prime Rib was tough, not tender.
