Kincaid's Bayhouse - Burlingame Ratings and Reviews
first we were greeted by David our favorite waiter !! We believe a major part of dining is a great and friendly server, which David is. He brought us our bottle of wine, pour us a glass and immediately took our order. He returned with the wonderful complimentary warm garlic bread, followed by a yummy blue cheese salad, then our broiled salmon mashed potatoes and vegetable. all brought out perfectly no rushing and no delays. We ended it with their delicious key lime pie. a great evening, thank you David and Kincaids
We had a great experience in the bar. When we got to our table the server suggested several appetizers. We declined and ordered some drinks. I ordered my lamb medium it arrived rare. I sent it back and everyone else ate while I waited. My lamb was in need of salt and an overall disappointment. Our server did not ask me if the lamb was prepared to my satisfaction. I let it go because it was a birthday celebration. The food at Kincaid's is not what it used to be, freshly prepared and delicious.
My brothers and I took our parents here for their 55th Anniversary, the food was good not great since most of the items didn't have enough flavor. The waiter was nice but when he asked if we'd like soup or salad he forget to mention it wasn't included in the already expensive price of the food. I had Mahi Mahi fish that had no flavor and to me was over-priced for almost $30. I'll never go to this restaurant again!
We were at a meeting nearby at an airport hotel. Kincaid's was the only non-hotel dining spot nearby, and we ate there 3 times during our stay. It was well worth the visits. The food is interesting and well prepared. Portions size is ample. The service can be a bit slow, but the servers are always quite pleasant, personable, and helpful. Reservations are a good idea if you don't want to have to wait. Kincaid's is popular with family groups of many diverse ages and size of group, so it gets a wide range of guests other than hotel captives. I would recommend it for anyone visiting Burlingame.
I always enjoy Kincaids. From the hostess that greets me to all the servers. Everyone is friendly, polite and accommodating. The web site that I made my reservation is questionable. I tried to reschedule my lunch and the web site wouldn’t let me, so the hostess thought I was a no show on my original appt. kind of embarrassing. Technology sucks sometimes, especially when you need it.
I was greatly disappointed that Kincaid's removed "The Shredded Chicken Penne Pasta from their Menu because that's the reason why I went there in the first place . The Penna Pasta is my favorite & I would go there just for that.
The room was too cold not comfortable at all & I was dying to leave because it was too cold in the dining room .
Kincaid's Bayhouse can be described in one word: OUTSTANDING! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the view of the bay was beautiful and there is no problem with parking. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday which has become a yearly tradition. My daughter and I each had lobster dinners that were delicious, my son-in-law had sea bass and my grandchildren opted for salmon. The children's dinners came with a free dessert, an ice cream sundae, and my daughter was also given a complimentary dessert in honor of her birthday. She chose the chocolate cake which we all shared. This is unquestionably a "go to" restaurant for special occasions or just for a very nice dinner. It even has frozen drinks--I had a pina colada and my daughter had a strawberry daiquiri. In short--try it , you'll like it (and you'll come back again and again).
The waiter recommended a salad, that he thought was special but it was actually mediocre.
We have eaten at this location for many years, the food didnt seem as good, something was missing! We have had many meals elsewhere that where much better in both flavor and pricing.
After all, the meal was expensive and not the best!
Service was sooooo ssslllloooowwwwwwww! It seemed that they're short-staffed. And when you need something like a refill or something that was forgotten from the order - you have to wait. And wait. And wait. It was so bad. Our quick meal became 2 hours longs because we didn't even get served our food till about half hour later. Good thing we were busy with our business meeting but by golly, it was awful!
Kincaid's is on the bayfront just south of SFO. It has excellent seafood and steaks. Great for a business meal in an area that lacks solid alternatives. But Kincaid's would hold its own in any district as the service is attentive and professional and the food is excellent. There were 4 of us and we had different items. All were good - a mahi mahi special, steelhead, and salads. I highly recommend it. Now that the road work on the Broadway exit to 101 is completed, it is much easier to reach Kincaid's again. This is most welcomed!
It is quiet at lunch. I have been to dinner when the noise was more moderate.
Wow...what happened here? I used to come just to have the fresh seafood either as a salad or within a dish. Had dinner w m brother and daughter Sun night. I have not seen nor tasted deep fried sea scallops. Don’t get me wrong, the taste was OK... but deep fried!?!? I sub’d fresh veggies, wow. Over cooked to the point of no structure left. Again... it tasted ok but... over cooked. Be sure to confirm if ‘fried’ means ‘pan fried’ or ‘deep fried’.
