Kincaid's Bayhouse - Burlingame Ratings and Reviews
We had a nice table to the side and it had a good view of the waterfront. The lunch portions were ample. I love the green pea salad. The sole stuffed with crab and lobster was excellent. We were given plenty of time to have conversation during our lunch and had a great time.
The chicken dijon was very good, however both of my guests had ordered the salmon and it came out overcooked. Both were sent back to have another salmon dish prepared, and came out better, but still not as expected. We were not sure what was going on in the kitchen, as we have been to Kincaids in the past many times, and were completely satisfied. Maybe just an off night for the cook who was preparing the salmon.
Everything was very good as usual, except for the air conditioning. I was surprised and was not dressed for an air conditioning in Winter!!!!!!!!!! everywhere has heaters not A/C. I got a bad cold. I was freezing at the table for 2 hours!!!!!!!! Very uncomfortable and today I'm sick!
Ahi Tuna entree was served cool and only had 1/2 a bok choy for the veggie. That is a bit skimpy. I would not recommend that entree to anybody but our waiter did recommend it. If someone is going to recommend, he should at least warn the customer that it is going to be served cool.
This place has awesome views overlooking the water and the airport. However, the restaurant is "very tired" and needs serious updating and maintenance badly. Service was poor, as we waited more than 10 minutes after sitting down for a server to acknowledge us. Food was great, but that wasn't enough to convince me to come back here for a meal again to this location.
We decided to have Thanksgiving Dinner here.
Food was good, the Chefs came out and were very friendly. One of the managers also stopped by to say hello. Really welcoming and accommodating.
However, our server was very short, and cold towards us. I realize he’s working on Thanksgiving Day, which I truly appreciate, but hospitality is a big part of service.
I felt like we were an inconvenience to him during our meal.
Since it’s Thanksgiving, I still tipped him generously.
We went for Thanksgiving and everything was excellent! From the hostess to the end of our meal. The hostess is before we even approached her. We had reservations and were immediately seated. Our server, Jasmine, was very pleasant. Although it was very busy, she made sure we were well attended to. The food was excellent. I've been here many times before, but this time it seemed better. The whole experience was exceptional! I can't wait to go back.
Food was hit or miss. Some things were great and others were far from it. Crab cake was disappointing. Service was good. The dining room is lit too brightly for evening - making it hard to see the views. Dimmer lighting would've gave a nice ambience. I feel that we paid too much for ok food.
I like the location and our server, other than that I think Id only return for casual lunch or dinner, which I have enjoyed in the past. But not a special occasion
Kincaid's never disappoints me. The service is by far one of the best I've seen. I don't know what kind of training the staff goes through but whatever it is it's working. Food is always good and if you're a regular they remember you and the "off the menu" items you ask for.
I have been to Kincaid's in the past and always had a good experience but this time it was a horror story. Two of the Wagyu steak orders were not acceptable and we had to order other dishes. Then the Ahi dish was not the right color. One of the other NY steak dinners came with the wrong sides, and overall the other dishes looked like they had been sitting out. The staff was good about trying to correct the mistakes but overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food for the price paid.
Food was amazing! Had one problem and not sure if it was not passed on from “Open Table” to the restaurant itself. Gave specific instructions that we were celebrating my girlfriends 49th Birthday, but waitress had no idea untlil we mention it to her. Very unhappy with the outcome!
Came here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and our son. We arrived early for our reservation and they were able to accomodate us. We had a wonderful view of the San Francisco Bay from our quiet booth. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Chef's Specials which were fabulous! Our son absolutely loves the chicken tenders from the Kids Menu😁 Our server got a bit busy towards the end of our meal but arrived at our table with a nice birthday dessert of Burnt Cream, which is their version of Creme Brulee (complimentary by the way 😉). I like the fact that they have a loyalty program which allows you to accumulate points and get rewarded. We will be returning this gem😉
Who knew? We were surprised at the crowd. There was no parking spaces! It is a very dark there so parking outside of the lot is scary. Our server was fantastic. I would describe our group as not easy to serve-picky, lots of questions, we will send things back and did. She was always smiling and accommodating. We sent one drink back twice because the soda had not bubbles. They were great about comping the drink and letting us substitute Perrier water. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we had gifts, raincoats and purses. Our table was too small to hold all of our stuff. We had to check our coats to even have a chance of fitting in the booth. The food was very good too. In addition to the menu, there were a number of specials-fresh fishes. We liked the crab dip appetizer. The key lime pie was yummy. The tables are set up so that you can carry on a conversation without shouting. We had to have some one unlock the closet to get out coats as we were on of the last to leave. We would go back again.
It was packed! We requested a window table for 5 and when we were only a party of 4 we were seated at a table with one chair in the main walk way. Squeezed between booths and other tables. I think it would be a nicer experience if they eliminated a few tables. The food is always good, The specials fresh and the service is great! The noise was deafening. We were in the middle of the restaurant and tables on the perimeter are often quieter. Its hard to hear everyone at the table.
The staff is attentive and helpful.
We have a good dinner, but services was ok, wayyy to slow!! Our wine glasses were dirty! And food took a long time.
I can tell our waitress was busy with a big party! She was nice! But she only checked on us once in our entire dinner!! I still give her over 20% only because I'm a captain at the French laundry!! And I understand that sometimes we get busy!
Busser was very nice!
Bartender was really nice too, after my dinner, i went to have a glass of wine, to watch the end of. Basketball game!
I really like the food and hopefully next time I get better service!!
