Booked reservation months in advance, day of reservations called and was told I had to come early to book outside. Can 1 and 1/2 hour before my reservation at 5 pm. I love sunset and the only reason I booked this place
So far in advance was to have a sunset view. We weee seated outside with a big free big tree our view. Food and service were fine. But did not make up for the weekend the let downs and price
Our favorite spot in Maui for a sunset dinner and Mai tai
Music too loud
This place was great! The view was amazing because our table had a view by the water. The service (server Tracy) was excellent. She was friendly and very attentive. The food was yummy. Family friendly. Would definitely eat here again!
Amazing dinner! Plus, got to see a sea turtle off the lanai—would 10/10 return!
Food was bad. Mai tai was terrible—actually had to send it back. Ambiance was like a college bar. Server lost our credit card and said she only carried it 10 feet to the register—as if the fact that it was missing was our fault. Don’t bother with Kimos.
We made a reservation through Open Table for 7p and didn't get seated until 7:30p.
Vacationing in Maui, Kimo’s is always on the list of must go to restaurants.
For a casual place it's getting pricey. Food was hood and atmosphere was outstanding.
Our favorite place to eat on Maui. The fish is so fresh and amazingly prepared. Views are spectacular and the service impeccable.
Good food. We loved our ocean front dining. We even saw a turtle swimming by. My family especially loved the calamari and I enjoyed my fish tacos.
Great service. The server even took a picture for us.
Amazing! Our server was awesome. The food incredible. The atmosphere….second to none: the view, live music, location. Can’t say enough good things.
What a lovely place to have dinner. We had a terrific view of the sunset, everyone found a menu item they wanted and enjoyed the food immensely. And of course the Hula Pie is ridiculously good. The musician was terrific as well.
Overall, our experience was good.
However, the fish was a bit dry. And the vegetables were slightly overcooked.
Service was great! From the check in staff to our server, Eric. Eric did a great job, providing several dinner options and was very attentive to our needs. The best part was the birthday dessert at the end. Made the evening very special for my birthday! Thanks Eric and Kimo’s.
Great food and service! AMAZING VIEWS! Right on the oceanfront. A must in Maui. Aloha!
Not that great of service, felt dirty inside, balcony rails totally blocked our view of the ocean plus they were super strict about their screens being taking down right around sunset so we could see. Took awhile to get our food, not even that great and of course way overpriced. No interest in going back.
We were very lucky to score a reservation last minute at Kimo’s today. It was at 4o’clock and they pushed it to 430 for us which was very nice. I loved my fish taco’s! They were definitely tasty. My husband ordered the lobster and unfortunately it was small dry and unflavored for his liking. My daughter is a vegetarian and had the raviolis which was fine. My son-in-law ordered the fish dish which he enjoyed. Our three-year-old grandson had ordered the mac & cheese and french fries and he just wouldn’t eat it and didn’t like it. So my daughter re-ordered him a grilled cheese which they wouldn’t accommodate so they brought a cheeseburger and we had to take the burger off the bun. They still charge for two meals even though he only ate one which I thought wasn’t very tactful. All in all it was really nice experience but it’s a four-star not a five star by my expectations.
This was a nice restaurant with great food. Staff super friendly. We arrived early by mistake and she was nice enough to still seat us. However, sitting on the 2nd floor rail, the sun on your face was pretty unbearable in July. We had a great time and delicious food. Thank you
Awesome. Loved it. Will be back.
Great service!! Food was all right. Good ambience.
Engagement and Birthday week for my Fiancé. Very loud as it was very busy. Had to wait 20 minutes past our reservations. Restaurant overlooks Pacific Ocean and sunsets there are amazing. Appetizers were delicious but did have to send Prime Rib back bc it was brought to table undercooked. Service was okay. Most servers were young in age. Overall I would give experience a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Robert was an outstanding waiter! Our food was delicious! The hula pie was outstanding! Great 41st Anniversary!
Been here many times. Came with my family (party of 10) and had the best service and best time EVER! Thank you so much Kimos! Hi
My fish was hard as a rock. Sent it back. They sat us at 9 and said kitchen was closing that moment very rushed
I was disappointed in the quality of my dish, my fish was very dry and over cooked. Prices have gone up which I don’t mind but the quality of food has gone down. And the portions have also gone down hill. The veggie on the plate which were 3 small carrots were hard and looked like They had not been washed. Have always enjoyed going to Kimos while on vacation , I hope they get back on track.
Disappointing meal especially paying higher prices.
Nothing bad to say about Kimo’S! Sat outside surrounded by the beautiful water and tiki torches. Services was perfect. Had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. Pork lettuce wraps are a must! Huge slice of Hula Pie was enough for five!
This is one of our favorite Maui family restaurants. It’s very popular and there is always a huge crowd waiting to enter. Plan way ahead, especially if you want to be seated along the railing. Servers are very courteous, and efficient. Food, whatever your taste is always prepared well and exceptionally delicious. The restaurant has been a staple in Lahaina for many decades. Dress is very casual.
Great food wonderful views while dining.
Sadly, not a good experience. We’ve been here many times but the food was not up to par, especially at those prices. The large prime rib was $70 and about 70% fat. We also ordered a shrimp and crab that turned out to be a salad (it wasn’t in the salad section by the way). So… $400 spent here followed by $20 at McDonald’s.
We always love Kimo’s. A little disappointed this time in the quality of the prime rib. Quality has not ever been an issue on our previous 30 trips tho Kimo’s.
Great Birthday dinner. Kimo’s always delivers on expectations.
Celebrating our 42nd anniversary. Food was delicious. Oh and the calamari was perfect!
Food was good. Pie was excellent. Room needed some air circulation. Wind must have been calm. It was pretty sticky. Need back up fans just in case.
Service was really good, the amount of food for the price wasnt very good and some of the food wasnt that great. Sunset was beautiful to watch on deck.
Our family of 6 had another great sunset meal at Kimos. The kids menu is varied enough that all four of our boys found something they like. The fish was fresh and delightfully prepared. Had a reservation and our table was ready promptly. Excellent as always.
We thought the food was okay, and the Mai Tais not as good as in the past
Family trip with kids/fiances
