Kimo's Restaurant Maui Ratings and Reviews
Great macadamia nut crusted calamari with homemade cocktail sauce for $14.50. Great fresh fish every day. I had the herb panic, lemon beurre blanc ono fish with capers $33.00 The view was amazing--sunset, boats, waves lapping agains the deck. I went back and had the calamari again with the mixed green salad.
We had two fabulous lunches at Kimo's in the past week. Both times, our waitress, Alicia, was very friendly, prompt, and helpful. I had the Poke appetizer the first time and the chopped chicken salad the second time. Both meals were outstanding with very fresh ingredients that were properly proportioned and delicious.
The food was delicious! I had the Mahi mahi prepared with Parmesan crusted, it was amazing. I had requested by the water and couldn’t have been placed further from it - why ask for requests if you can’t support it? - besides that, it was noisy but great food
Very nice with incredible views. Got off to a little bit of a rough start with the server, but things improved and went well. My wife had seafood, which she said was very good. I had Teriyaki steak, which was good but not great. Once again, incredible views was the highlight.
Fairly busy place, service was decent. Lahaina lemonade cocktail was meh. Coconut shrimp could've been crispier. Kimo style mahi mahi has good flavor, nice sauce. Hula pie was pretty good, just an ice cream cake with fudge and macadamia nuts. Traditional style service and portion sizing, not ideal for sharing. Not a repeat destination unfortunately
Came here for an anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. Our table was reserved when we got there, so no need to wait. Arrived as the sun was starting to set and had a great view on the water. The waitress was very nice and attentive and so was the manager. He let us move tables to be closer to the water with no hassel. Had crab cakes and prime rib and wow! So ono! Had a couple of mai tais that were so good, but the alcohol sneaks up on you. Great experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice romantic dinner by the water. Great service, onilicious grinds, and amazing view of the sunset.
