Great food and very interesting offerings. Who can complain eating dinner overlooking the beach. It’s a must on Maui
Excellent vegetarian option on the menu, delicious fish, great ocean views and excellent service from Luke. Hadn't been to Kimo's in a long while. Glad we put it back in the West Maui vacation rotation!
I love their carrot muffins. Its moist and just superb.
Steak delicious, good
Love Kimo’s! Always consistent. My only complaint would be my drink was missing the rum floater! My husband hates when I complain so I didn’t!
Home run in every way.
Consident great quality food. The servers/waiters are excellent. Over 20 years of eating at Kimos always have a special moment. Great place to renew your time with someone or family time.
The food was good but my overall experience was disappointing. The restaurant is tacky, rough around the edges, the hostess straight up confused. Very noisy. We had mai tai cocktails before dinner they were absolutely awful! The cocktail waitress spilled a sweet drink all over me.
We were seated at 4:45 pm time of opening for dinner We had four in our party -dinners were 38-40.00 for fish. The waiter was impatient and rolled his eyes when we asked him to say the specials slower- it was a lengthy list! Waiter in a hurry -
Asparagus was the vegetable of the day & accompanied the fish. One of us is allergic to asparagus so they replaced it with a few cherry tomatoes. Weird they didn’t replace it with a green veggie. We ordered a tomato maui onion salad. It came with asparagus and it is the exact salad that came with my fish Perhaps the waiter should have told me I would of ordered a different salad. It was not a pleasant evening or the “dining experience”we want while on vacation.
Vacation and birthday.
Excellent view. Good sandwiches.
Kimo’s is no different that the other restaurants in their food chain. If you like the style you will like Kimo’s. The mai tais needed more dark rum. They tasted weak for the premium price. Better bet are the local beers on tap.
Fish tacos were good as always. Fresh fish sandwich was also good. Moist fish and hot fries.
Can’t beat the hula pie for dessert....we needed to walk off a few more calories. Too much for two still a good sweet ending
Our waitress was very attentive to all her tables.
The food was fresh and delicious, staff outstanding, and the view on the water was amazing. The Hula Pie was a wonderful dessert to finish the meal. Next trip to Maui we will definitely visit Kimo’s again!!
Was recommended for the Hula Pie experience. The entrees were lovely and delicious. Presentation was very nice. The service was excellent as was the view. The only true Vegetarian option contained Tofu and the coconut sauce was very thin, so it would be nice if they could add another option.
The food is very poor quality. Views are gorgeous
Honestly overpriced. The food was pretty awful and the drinks were expensive
We go back every year at least twice. Always great! I wish they would bring back the dinner rolls.
There is no better waterfront dining location. The Aloha hour is a fantastic value.
I made a reservation and did not feel the table was what I asked for. The room was hot and very loud upstairs. I was able to see some of the ocean and had asked for a seat on the balcony with ocean view.
Kimos was my husband & my favorite restaurant on Maui for many years. We haven’t visited the island in a while but we’re excited to go visit our favorite spot. We both got the Parmesan Crusted Fish & salads. The salads were fine but unmemorable. My husband got the Ono and it tasted good but not as good as usual. I ordered the Opakapaka. Mine was somehow burnt and chewy on the bottom (I couldn’t even cut through it with my knife) and underdone on top (the top crumbs weren’t even brown at all). I was disappointed that they would serve it like that. The server was a little rude and not at all attentive. We didn’t see her for a long time. I cut around the really chewy parts and ate what I could and my husband shared his with me. We then sat for a very long time with our dirty plates and napkins on the table waiting for a visit from the server to clear the table and bring the check. We would have flagged her down earlier but she was no where to be found. I am sad to say Kimos is no longer our favorite restaurant in Maui and we will probably not return.
Beautiful setting, great ambiance, and delicious food.
We have been going to Kimo's for over 20 years and every time it is Fantastic!!!
Amazing place! It was the week of our anniversary. Couldn't have picked better food...and couldn't have picked a better view of the sunset.
As always....perfection. Favorite place in Maui. Hula Pie!!!!
Our server Luke took special care because my wife has extensive food allergies. It meant a lot to us that he confirmed with the cooking and serving staff of my wife’s situation. Thank you, Luke!
Great spot for dinner. Amazing ocean views and really good staff. Food was awesome with very fresh seafood. Hula pie is a must!
Great food and view as always !! The ribs and prime rib were delicious. Definitely will be back !
Our food was delicious and since Kimos is right in the center of old town Lahaina, we made sure to save time to walk around after our great meal. We made a reservation and I’d recommend that you do especially if you want to sit closer to the water. We saw a beautiful sunset. The drinks were great, the fish was very fresh. Our waitress was very helpful and nice. I
The food and service was outstanding! We did not have to wait to be seated and a nice table with a great view of the ocean. The lobster tail addon for $19 was a nice addition.
We come to Kimo's every time we visit Maui. This is one of our favorite restaurants because it is consistently good - the food, the service and the setting. It offers beautiful ocean front views on both levels of the restaurant and the outdoor seating is excellent. Many tables have great views even if not at the window directly. The fish is always fresh and you have many options on how it is prepared. Although this is clearly a seafood restaurant, my son ordered the prime rib and it was also excellent. Most restaurants in this part of Maui in the downtown Lahaina area are expensive and Kimo's is no exception; but, you get quality food for the price. I do think portions can run small, especially if you are a big guy or come with a big appetite. In this case, you'd also need to get the salad, appetizer or dessert to fill you up. But, this is a great local restaurant I recommend to anyone coming to the island and will definitely be back!
Excellent food, service, location, and view. Alcohol drinks were very disappointed tried the grog a mai tai and a Lilikoi lemonade all disappointing with a little alcohol or flavor
We were told to definitely eat at Kimo’s by relatives that live on the island. We had a great meal, ambience was wonderful, and food was yummy. Loved it!
We absolutely love Kimos.
The food was good, the service was good, and the view is exceptional! I would recommend this to anyone I know as an enjoyable place to dine.
Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress
Loved the food and sweet Katie our server. Great view. Best Cosmo cocktail anywhere!
Location is great, our waitress was awesome... meal not so much. My fish was average at best (mahi mahi), rice pilaf looking side dish straight outta the 80s & cold veggies. I unfriended my friend who recommended this restaurant.
I’m kidding, but do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant in Lahaina.
Have eaten there many times?.never disappointed
Everything was great at the beginning even though it did take a bit to get our first drinks, but our server had been seated three tables at once. Our soup and salad came out promptly, but then the wait began for our main course which was just some mai mai topped with lobster we were sharing. All the tables around us got their meals and finished them and got dessert too. Another server asked if we wanted another round of drinks that we ordered. Finally after about 50 minutes we asked to see the server. She finally came over and told us she made a mistake and put in the wrong order but ours should be coming out shortly. Another 20 minutes went by and we still had no food so we finally asked the manager. Shortly after our food did arrive split with a very small piece of fish just on my plate. My boyfriends plate just had some veggies and rice on it. The manager finally came over we asked why it is that we only got one piece of fish and he said that they cannot split that because of the presentation, but the person who dropped off the food which was not our original server did not explain that. They agreed to comp our entire meal, but by then our dining experience was ruined and we left very unsatisfied from our experience.
