Tables were uncomfortably high and the tables they joined together were uneven making it hard for the middle person to sit comfortably. Not sure why the hairs are awkwardly low. Birds flying around droppings stuff onto our table which made everything on the table questionable. Service was mediocre and food was as well. The garlic shrimp pasta dish was pale and pasta was hard and inedible. The fish and chip looks charred but was decent. The Parmesan crusted fish was okay but side jasmine rice was uncooked and so was the side veggie. The kimo fish was okay but did not look appetizing. Such a disappointment. Overall negative experience and overpriced.

This is our 2nd time visiting Kimo's and it still remains one of our favorites. The entire experience is great. We missed our reservation time but the host was able to get us seated with a beautiful sunset view within 30 minutes of waiting. Service was great and we can't wait to be back. Get their hula pie, it's so yummy!

We’ve been to Kimo’s many times but have never had such a terrific server as we did last night. Tracy is the best! We had a 2 year old with us and she made sure the little one got her milk and dinner right away so the five adults could enjoy our tropical drinks and delicious dinner in peace. Love the complimentary carrot muffins as well as the yummy Cesar salad. Different fish dishes were ordered as were the ribs and everything was delicious. The two year old’s eyes opened wide when the hula pie was placed on the table. It was the perfect ending to a great dinner! Thank you Tracy and Kimo’s!

We celebrated my friend’s birthday. The food was superb!! We sat on the bottom tier just before sunset. Very nice. Very attentive but not obtrusive service. I’m sorry I forgot the young lady’s name. An entertaining Hawaiian singer added to the night.

Was so excited to get a sunset reservation, more excited to be sat near the water, that is until the sun started to set and the majority of the people in the restaurant came up to take pictures (which of course was understandable) but weird and a little awkward for us while we were eating. In about 15-20 minutes it was over with the occasional person going up to take a selfie or a picture of the water. Had I known that would happen, I’d have asked for a table further into the restaurant.

Overall, we had a great experience at Kimo’s. The food was really really good as was the setting. Some highlights were the Kalua pork lettuce wraps, the baked mahi-mahi and the hula pie. The only dish that lacked value was the shrimp and crab salad. While the flavors were amazing, there was barely any crab on the plate. For the price, we are expecting hunks of crab when in reality there were a few tiny pieces lining one side of the plate. The shrimp were very tasty though and the egg was a nice touch.

Although this restaurant was highly recommended to us, it fell way short of the expectations. The view from the deck is amazing. The food horrific. I actually sent back my cold shrimp and crab salad back because it was inedible. It appeared that the meal was pre-made earlier in the day. It was not fresh, the avocado was brown and the crab tasted like it was spoiled. The ahi avocado stack was good. The saving grace for our evening was the server who was kind, professional and attentive. Even the Caesar salad my partner ordered was poor. Maybe it was just a bad night for the kitchen. At least I hope so based on the volume of customers and tourists it draws.

We’ve been going to kimos once a year for about 20 years; great experience as usual. Last year hostesses were rude and not friendly even tho we had reservation. This year they were very friendly and accommodating . waiter was superb along with great food and great venue.

The view was beautiful. The food was underwhelming. The drinks were horrible! We ordered 2 mai tais and 1 mango margarita. The Mai tais were watered down and with the margarita you can tell it was made with a cheap mix. We will not be returning.

So looked forward to dining here, especially to get a lava flow and hula pie. But started well and went downhill after that. Had this unusual complimentary carrot muffins with a salty cream cheese spread. I figured getting this slightly odd plate meant that the meal would be a while. Not so. The lava flows looked great, but were too sweet and totally not enough rum. The fish and chips , fish being marlin, was so-so. Fish seemed over cooked / not great batter, chips pretty poor and tiny ramekin dish of coleslaw just ok. Have had similar meal many times during 3 wee holiday, this was prob one of the worst. On that basis decided to not have the hula pie. Expensive especially for Aussie travellers , not worth it. Lots of better places but the reviews are quite good strangely. Nice and efficient staff.

We loved our food and drinks! The server was very rushed and rude when my pregnant wife asked her more questions then I guess she wanted to be asked. The server needs to slow down and be patient. If you can’t handle the amount of tables you are serving, take less and give better service.

We had a beautiful table on the balcony overlooking the ocean. It was after dark but we could feel the ocean breeze and hear the crashing of the waves. The food was very good and our server very attentive.
