Wait staff was amazing. Excellent experience. Will be back!
Wonderful food, friendly, attentive service and wonderful atmosphere.
Ordered the king cut prime rib while size was as expected was slightly overcooked and lacked flavor. Tasted like a large slice of pot roast. Asparagus tasted like they were marinated in Tabasco first time ever not eating them. Wife had filet mignon was fair. Hula pie for dessert was very good. Overall fair meal too expensive
The prices don’t reflect the quality of how the food is prepared. This was our 4th visit to Kimo’s and we were really disappointed and won’t be going back. There are so many great places to eat in the area so why spend your time and money on a meal that’s mediocre?
You, and most of the other T-S stores do a great job. Been going to several for at least 25 years. Kimo’s, Dukes and Hula are our favorites. Too bad you’re closing for the Virus. Trying to get one more in before we leave tomorrow.
Food was flavorless; unimpressive. Veggies were a bit undercooked. Banquet-hall quality. Servers were friendly.
Great service. The lobster on the mahi mahi was dry, but sauce and everything else was good. Pina collada was great. The view was great although cloudy and rainy.
Excellent meal and service. We were glad to get here before the HI restaurants closed.
I wrote in the Open Table app that it was our anniversary, and asked to be seated on the balcony. When we got there, we were taken up to the balcony, but sat at the very edge of the waterside portion, and no one said anything to us about our anniversary or asked what our dining occasion was or anything. My drink was an old fashioned and it was very watered down. My wife got the Lahaina Lemonade (they said they were known for it) but there was a ton of pulp in it, and she did not really care for it. Food was okay. The fried calamari was good, but too small a portion for the $15 price tag. The iceberg wedge was probably the best thing about this meal. But the prime rib I ordered medium rare was overcooked, too fatty, and the portion of horseradish was way too small. The vegetables that came with it were very average. The mashed potatoes were okay. Just not the level of food quality I expected for the price tag. Service was okay. The guy we had was a little difficult to understand and did not check on us very often or engage with us at all. The overall experience was just okay, and it seemed to lack the fantastic experience we have been having at other restaurants in Maui so far. Definitely did not seem worth the hefty price tag.
Been there MANY times and normally one of our favorites. Last night on the island and spent our Anniversary there. Unfortunately it was Not one of Kimo's best nights. I had fish many meals during the 2 weeks and wanted something else so ordered the Teriyake Steak that I had several times before and wanted a Baked Potato because wasn't a big fan of their mashed potatoes. Waiter talked me out of it and assured me the mashed potatoes were great. They Weren't and the steak had a lot of grissle and ate maybe a 1/3 of it. The Asparagus had way too much lemon and was sour. Most of my meal was still left on the plate and the waiter simply picked up my plate and didn't even bother to ask how the meal was. So I didn't say a thing until I got this E Mail asking me my opinion of that night.
We were seated at a very nice table on the 2nd floor. Although, it would not meet social distancing requirements. Hopefully, that is a temporary inconvenience. The sunset lit up the sky and made for a special birthday dinner for me. The food was wonderful. I had the Kimo Style Mahi-mahi and it was moist and flavorful. My husband had the shrimp and pasta. The kale did not enhance the dish. The Hula Pie for dessert was awesome. Definitely will be back.
Great food, excellent service. Do not miss out on this place.
Awesome dinner! Poke stack, Ahi and veg for dinner. Sorbet for dessert! The dream. It was all excellent!
Great waterfront location. Service was perfectly attentive. The hula pie is shareable (2-3 people) - a delectable dessert. (Look for a coupon online or get one from your hotel concierge.)
Good Food and service
Not their best effort. Opakapaka was thin and just “OK.”. Bed of rice it was served on was lukewarm at best. Hula pie was wonderful. Waitress disappeared from the floor for several minutes. Have eaten here several times but probably won’t go back as there are several similar better options.
We had a wonderful meal sitting right by the railing. Amazing sunset view. The prime rib and the loster topped mahi mahi were fantastic!
Visit to Kimo's is always a welcome treat for our family. This particular trip we enjoyed both lunch and later in the week, dinner. Staff is friendly, attentive and the food is brought out at the same time with multiple staff. Assures fresh and hot delivery to the table. Encourage you to add this to the list the next time you are in Lahaina.
I had the Mahi Mahi which I don’t normally order as it can be dry. However, at Kimo’s it was moist and oh so flavorful! I would order it again!
Gorgeous view, food was good, service was great. Parking was a hassle.
Make a reservation to ensure an ocean front table. Saw breaching whales, and epic sunset.
Enjoyed our dinner and watching the whales very much.
Great Food and great view
Reasonably priced by Maui standards
Kimo’s has excellent food at a great value with fast and friendly service. We had the Mahi Mahi Komi style and the seared Ahi Tuna. Both were delicious. Our waitress was Maria and she was terrific. This was our favorite restaurant on Maui.
Fabulous waitress and the food was beyond good!
Delicious!! Many choices on the menu! Service was great and enjoyed a beautiful view of the ocean!! We kept out receipt and returned the following evening for dinner again and a free piece of their famous Hula pie! So worth your visit! We would recommend you make a reservation for little to no wait!!
Everybody in the family loves Kimo’s! It’s on the list when we head to Maui! Our Kate wanted her birthday dinner there. Didn’t disappoint! Love love love kimos!!
Excellent fresh fish dishes, and view was fantastic!
We had a snag in our dinners. Somehow our order was “lost” and our entrees were very delayed..with 3 small children in our party. The manager apologized and reduced our bill,so all was eased over. We still love Kimos and will return.
Amazing food. Great service. Beautiful view. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re near Lahaina.
There was no hot water in the women’s restroom. These days when it’s most important to wash hands thoroughly, not to have hot water is unacceptable.
My favorite restaurant on Maui!!! So beautiful, sitting right on the water. Wonderful servers, good bartenders, yummy fish and the amazing Hula Pie!!!! Also, they had a wonderful guitarist playing music. We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary there and had a perfect night!!!
Great waiter! The food was awesome and we enjoyed ourselves!
We always enjoy returning to Kimos whenever we visit Maui! The fabulous food and friendly servers keep us coming back, year after year!
Wonderful! You can’t visit Maui without dining at Kimo’s! It’s a must!!! Love the view, service is outstanding, food is delicious. I started with beet salad and had the Ahi! Best I’ve ever had! Great prep and so delicious! Hula pie to celebrate. Perfect date!!
Celebrating a double birthday and as always the food did not disappoint. Setting was perfect
Amazing place to eat right on the water. The food was incredible, I had coconut crusted sword fish and it was delicious. The staff is really accommodating and bend over backward to make your experience the best.
Excellent meal. Wonderful waiter.. Ethan.. very attentive. Food was marvelous.. and Lava Pie was beyond words delicious. Only disappointment was, we had been promised an ocean view table and did not get one.. all else was fabulous!
This was not our first Kimo’s visit and it’s always very good. My wife and I each had coconut crusted marlin with pineapple salsa and jasmine rice. Was very enjoyable, and of course had to have the Hula Pie to top it off.
Great views! Staff was friendly and accommodating to us. Nice location in Lahaina for walking off our meal. Loved the Poke and coconut shrimp were delicious!
