Kimo's Restaurant Maui
the food was mediocre. $15 for 5 shrimp seems a bit much. service and location was solid though.
Very bad experience here. Hostess and staff were terrible - disorganized, uncooperative and generally not nice. The food was mediocre at best. This place is overrated and much better alternatives exist within a block or two.
Amazing! The location and food are both amazing. Crab cakes are to die for. Fresh fish prepared any way you would want at great prices. Don’t forget the hula pie. I’d eat here every day!
Great food for a great price and you get a beautiful view of the beach while you eat. Love it! Highly recommend. Every dish we order was delicious.
Ethan was great and made the experience awesome.
Great fish menu. Several fresh catches. Great service!
Beautiful place and delicious food. Service was fast and perfect. We arrived at sunset and were lucky to have a table in the sea front, it was glorious.
What a great experience!
Awesome! Amazing! Erica is so sweet and attentive! My tofu dish was made vegan and I could eat it every night.
The view was amazing, couldn’t get any closer
To the ocean. The crab cakes were the best we’ve ever had. Lobster was A-1 and Mahi-mahi was great too, even the rice on the side was a little different from traditional rice, but very good! We were too full to try the Hula Pie, but it looked amazing. Until next time... Kimo’s we’ll be back!
Jack Starr does a wonderful job. food and service excellent A must stop when we come to Maui each year

A+ food and service, not to mention one of the most delicious Thanksgiving dinners we’ve ever had!!
Food was great as always. Service left a little to be desired. We had to ask for the specials to be recited. We go every year for our daughters birthday and despite hearing multiple other tables having happy birthday sung to them our waiter just brought the cake and left. No candle, no song by the staff. Not a huge deal but not good service either.
Made reservations for Thanksgiving Day three weeks in advance at 1:00 pm. My family traveled from Buffalo NY. received a call 2 days prior to the date telling me that the were closing st 1-3:30 for Thanksgiving and wanted me to come in at 11:30 am instead.then rescinded request and said 12;45. Poor planning on your part. We got there and were rushed to order. Waitress was in a panic. Really?
Food was okay but disappointing would not eat here again.:( Your Kimo Pie was Fantastic!
We arrived early, got a seat right against the water and enjoyed the food, the service, and the view all night. The Chef's tasting menu was perfect. Great pork, great fish. Get the Hula Pie!
Great venue for getting together with friends. Service was a little off this time, I think our server was stretched pretty thin. But, all in all a lovely evening. Food is very consistent.
All of the food was delicious. Our waiter was very prompt. However, my husband ordered the filet mignon and received a different cut of steak. We didn’t say anything because it was cooked to his liking and he said it still was tasty. We asked for the best view available when booking and were seated right by the water. We were told by friends to order the hula pie for dessert but we were too full. Would definitely recommend. Lots of other places were booked up but this had lots of availability when booking same day.
My wife and I enjoyed the dinner. Our server was great. We recommend Kimo’s for a nice meal.
Katie was a great server! Friendly and patient. The food was outstanding. And offered the right size portions. Can’t wait to go back.
My filet was average, I wasn’t impressed with seasoning, nor the purée it was on. My other guests loved their fish entrees
Food was great. Fresh; quantity was slightly less than I had expected but the taste made up for it.
Service was excellent and so was he ambiance.
Great location and server explained the food really well. We went there for dinner. I ordered coconut fish and my wife ordered special. Felt that food was little bit dry. Overall we had good experience but in terms of food we have been to all kimo's sister restaurant and did not had great experience.
We joined some friends visiting from Idaho at Kimo's for lunch. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had the Ahi Poke Avocado Stack w/ Tortilla chips. It was very tasty and it looks like they make their own chips. My friends has the Sloppy Jack with pulled Pork and pineapple slaw, Hamburger w/fries, fresh fish meal, and salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ended with 2 Hula Pies. Which was a fantastic way to finish our lunch.
Always good. Best prime rib and it didn’t disappoint once again.
Very loud. Had a very large group sitting right in the middle of many intimate tables. While I don’t mind noise, the group didn’t take into consideration everyone around them and were extremely loud. There were also probably 5 kiddos that were allowed to run around and be loud too. Again, I understand we are in a public place but it was extreme.
Excellent food. Excellent service. Great view. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.
The menu is a little shy on vegetarian items, so I had the beet salad, it was delicious but not a meal. As a big calamari fan we tried the macadamia crusted calamari, it’s steak strips not goops which was a surprise but still had good flavor. My wife had the crab cake app for her meal and said they were great. We did stay for dessert the house special for me and the sorbet for her, both were great, but you definitely want to share the giant ice cream pie! The real reason everyone loves this place is the amazing sunset. Though the bar staff is awesome we had happy hour a couple days before dinner with the veggie goat cheese pita plate so good we came back for dinner!
Very decent food, served by a not too fussy waiter ( being European we find a bit painful having a full detailed description of the specials of the day), in a lively environment on the sea front
We ate dinner here for our anniversary. We had a great waitress. She made great suggestions and she was very attentive. Our glasses were never empty and we ate delicious dinners and desserts! Not to mention our view was spectacular. I highly recommend making a reservation around sunset
Kimo’s is a favorite for lunch and dinner. For dinner I love the Parmesan crusted opakapaka and mashed potatoes. The service is always excellent!
Prime Rib- average at best.
I had the sesame crusted ahi, and wow was it good!
My husband had the steak and wedge salad, they were awesome too!
Im so glad we ate at Kimo‘s!!
Father in laws 80th birthday
Our server was fabulous and we enjoyed the food and the HULA pie! Kathleen McCarty
Great spot to get together with friends and watch the sunset. Kimo’s always does a fabulous job with fish!
Excellent service and menu
Been going to Kimo’s for years.......but this time it fell flat. The service was awesome....but the food was “meh”. I’ve had better meals there and it seems the quality has declined a bit. The Kimo style fish was SMOTHERED in Kimo’s sauce...which was a gallon too much. And the portions seemed smaller than usual. This place has gotten even more overrun by tourists (which is next to impossible). And kids, kids, everywhere kids. While I know they cannot control this...it’s turned into a Chuck-E-Cheese with kids crying and running everywhere. Just enough to ruin your sunset wine toast.
I think this was the best meal we have eaten on Maui in the last week and thought it a good value! Thank you Victor for the great service
Penny (host/front desk) is awesome!!!! It always makes our visit complete when she is there greeting us and other guests.
