Kimono Restaurant
Food was good
Didnt feel like we got enuf to eat and the price was high. So noisy that we had to yell across our little booth to be heard. I will not go back
Foods good bit pricey.
Always great and worth the money!
Our chef was very enthusiastic and very entertaining. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious.
Had a reservation but still waited for 30 min. to be seated. Waitress was very slow serving drinks, including water! Chef was great and so was the food.
We always love it there! The restaurant is outstanding!
Greeted and sat promptly. Great service and correct order by server and Hibachi chef. Drinks from bar were ok but not enough alcohol for the price of specialty cocktails. Service was great bringing out each course. Chef was friendly and accommodating. Only complaint was I felt the customers who ordered lobster received a bigger filet than I did with my jumbo shrimp. Overall nice experience.
A great experience as always. We were seated within 5 min of arrival. Our waitress was timely and kind.
Excellent food and service; Chris was a very attentive waiter.
Not a quiet intimate experience, but entertaining and the food was good. The Benicia Roll is dynamite - spicy, crunchy and delicious too!
Our server and chef gave excellent service and made celebrating our dad’s birthday a real treat.
Great food and great service. I do not live in the area but would love to go back next time I am in town.
I love your high quality meat and tasty dishes. I am a regular and come about once a month or more. Only thing is your dinner menu is too pricey. Plus we need more cooks in your Benicia branch. Sometimes during lunch when I show up I cannot get a cooking table 3 times in a row, due to shortage of cooks/trick shows. Your staff is friendly and is very nice.
Nice bday experience. Pricey but will go again for lunch.
It was my mother’s 89th birthday and she had a wonderful time. We all did.
The chef seemed pretty new and the food didn’t wow me this time around
We had Julian for a cook, he is entertaining and a good cook.
I thought the chicken was tough and the chef was uninspired.
We had reservations for three people at 8PM. We weren’t seated until 8:30. We waited over an hour just for our drinks.
We visited Kimono on New Years Eve. I believe the restaurant was short on staff. Getting a drink was difficult. We waited nearly 1 hour for any service. Then it seemed rushed. The food was good and the chef very entertaining. We had to go to the bar to get any drinks and even water. Because the food was good, I would give it another try, not on a holiday.
New Years Eve
Romantic, entertaining, and great meal. Our go to place for Christmas Eve and what a great way to start the holiday. I did not rate the noise level as low but why would you want that way. Your right there in the kitchen. Be prepared to wait if they are busy but the reward is in the meal and the ambience.
We had an 8pm reservation...we started receiving food at 9:50pm and am just now leaving at 10:18pm. The wait was just far too long.
Good food. Teppan seating was great. Would definitely go again
Went for a birthday lunch, staff very accommodating, food was good and lots of it couldn’t finish it all. The Teppan chef was good and personable, rivals Benihana.
Average food quality but more expensive than higher quality places. Our bill was over $100 for two people where we typically spend around $65 for same food and drink options. This was our first time in and most likely our last. For that price point, quality was just average. Too many other options nearby that are much better value.
This was really good! I ordered the “Ocean Wave” which includes filet mignon and scallops. I requested the filet to be cooked medium rare and that is exactly how I got it. The scallops were also cooked perfectly! The chef did tricks and was very entertaining. It was worth the price and I would definitely come here again.
60th birthday party. Had a great server; she was in training but did really well and was really trying to ensure everything went smoothly. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for a fun date!
Chef was sweet and funny. Food was good
Julian was our chef and he was AWESOME!!! We have gone here several times and he is by far the BEST!
Always fresh fun and delicious!
If my friend is a vegetarian I would say no. The vegetarian choices are very limited. The food is overpriced for what you receive. Ice cream portions are way too small.
Great food and a lot of fun. Very pricey so best for a night where you want to splurge.
Went for my fiance's birthday. It took the waiter 30 min to get our drinks. Sat down at 815 didn't get started with dinner till almost 930. Then they proceeded to try and rush us out since they close at 10. Foods good. But the service was not what we were expecting.
Pricey for the quality and amount served but good food usually. We often order at a booth and noticed the quantity of veggies/scallops and filet mignon is much smaller lately.
My 51st birthday with my teen children. The chef was very entertaining, skilled, and witty. And he prepped some great food, at all times entertaining with his food humor.
Our chef, Julian was AMAZING! Entertaining for both adults and children! My son, who was the birthday celebrant asked if we could request him for our next celebration at Kimono! Thank you Julian for making my son’s birthday dinner that much more special! The food was really delicious!
Great food....equally good as Benihana. Love the sakes.
We love Kimonos and would recommend it to anyone. The staff is so friendly and does a great job,
