Kimberton Inn Ratings and Reviews
The food was amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly. Our server was not the best. She wasn’t bad but not very attentive after our food arrived. This is definitely an early dinning spot. Our reservation was for 7:45 and we were among the last people in the restaurant when we finished at 10:30.
We were trying to think of a place to go and had been to Kimberton Inn years ago and decided to go again. It’s an old Chester County inn and the decor has not been updated at all. However, the most important thing, the food, was outstanding. My husband’s rib eye was cooked perfectly as was my daughter’s duck breast. My salad with almond crusted chicken was also very good. The parking lot is awful and the decor could use some serious updating ( even historic inns need updated), but I would highly recommend it for the wonderful food and the very good, friendly service.
The ambiance was perfect, the food was ok. My $42.00 lobster tails looks like large shrimp and we're not tasty. Served on what looked like left over vegetable soup. No greens, no potatoes, just two small bread sticks. The service was the worst I have EVER experienced. Our waitress did not tell us her name, never refilled our soda or iced tea all of which were empty half way through the meal. We should have been there 60 to 90 minutes but we're there close to three hours because she was so slow to take and deliver our food. Dessert took forever as well. Very disappointed , will never go back, my friend agreed and will not recommend this place to anyone.
The Kimberton Inn is always excellent. Jeff and his staff always go above and beyond for thier customers. We celebrated New Years Eve yearly on Saturday and had a wonderful time and the food was exceptional. After our meal we sat at the bar for a night cap. A romantic evening at the Kimberton Inn. Thank you!
The Kimberton Inn has become our family's go to spot for a nice holiday meal and we plan another visit in the summer months. Since myself and many of my siblings live a far distance from our mother's house we travel back to spend Christmas with her. Great food, beautiful ambiance. Kimberton is lovely without being pretentious.
There is no place better to be on a cold Chester County night than the Kimberton Inn. With the fireplaces ablaze (real wood fires), it's a must see, especially during the holidays.
I know they were busy the night we dined there, what with a full house and a holiday party in progress, but we felt a bit rushed. One thing you want to do while you are there is drink in the atmosphere of the old inn, and we felt we got less of a chance to do that being rushed. Otherwise I would have given them an "outstanding" for all categories.
Kimberton Inn is always a treat -- the food, the intimate dining rooms, the ambiance. All the staff are friendly and attentive, and the manager is ever present, seeing to our needs as well. We've made it an annual tradition to have Sunday brunch there to celebrate Christmas.
Service was terrible. Waitress served the men their wine before the women. Our waitress forgot to take one of our orders. Forgot to get me a refill on wine. Waiting along time for our food. Never saw the general manager. We had to track down our waitress. I know it is busy holidays but don't over book if you cant give good service. When you pay those type of prices you deserve good service. Would never get that type of poor service at Seasons 52 or Capital Grill.
food was good however the service was poor. A table next to us had about ten people and our waitress did not take one persons order. Another person at that table had to get the managment to get the waitress. The service at our table had the same lack of attention.
The Sunday Brunch at the Kimberton Inn is very special. It offers a variety of excellent dishes and an amazing Hazelnut Chocolate dessert. We had smoked salmon and eggs Benedict and of course, a delicious Mimosa. All wonderful! The staff was very attentive and efficient.
We celebrated my wife's birthday with two sumptuous meals starting with the best salad ever and a delicious shrimp cocktail followed by swordfish steaks for the both us which turned out to be the best we've ever tasted! The special dessert was amazing. The Kimberton Inn is the place to dine when celebrating any occasion in life! Thank you all for a very fine dining experience!
We had our Thanksgiving day luncheon here again this year. The food here is always great, and this year’s Thanksgiving Day meal was outstanding. This is the finest fine dining restaurant in the area. I recommend this place to all that will listen to me. Jeff and his team continue to execute well every time we attend.
