Angleton area bred wagu ribeye was disappointing. Tasted similar to regular steak house prime cut. Rest. comped a glass of wine. Will return, however this meal was not up to their standards.
Very loud, very busy, very cold. Missing the friendliness and customer service of old place.
Food is fantastic, but atmosphere was unpleasant.
First visit to the restaurant for our 17th wedding anniversary. Was not disappointed. Our waiter, Randy, was fantastic. Very patient and explained the menu very well.
The very best steak I’ve ever had! The service was the absolute best. This is our second visit, and won’t be the last. Highly recommended.
Killen’s Steakhouse is simply amazing. Could not be any more pleased with all aspects of this meal!
We've enjoyed Killens Steakhouse for years. Glad to see some new items on the menu. Smoked crab with fried green tomatoes appetizer was good but the fried tomatoes were dry and a bit tough. Overcooked? IDK, but the crab was tasty! Our steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly to the requested doneness. The noise level is a thing, but we don't let it stop us from visiting this family favorite.
It was son's bday
Chris did a good job waiting on us.
We would like him as our server when available.
Steaks excellent.
We ordered a tomahawk wagyu the 48 Oz. Medium rear. It was perfectly served but the add on 2 lobsters was so salty to eat. The corn on the sides is too sweet , I was disappointed with that corn due to the reviews I read they saying that it’s recommended to try that’s why I ordered 2 , I wasted my time and money for that one and told the server Randy he just say he will tell the chef 👩🍳 and that’s it. The wagyu meat 🥩 is thumbs up, mushrooms on the sides is tasty, the lobsters is so salty, the corn is so sweet you will taste all sugar on top of it even if you mixed it. Server Randy knowledgeable what to order but he didn’t do nothing to satisfy our taste. Maybe cuz it’s our first time to fine dine inn there. It’s disappointing to my visitors from NY . We are group of six all of us agree on the taste, I thought is just me.
Never got asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, we were.
My husband and I recently moved to the area and wanted a nice dinner without driving into Houston traffic. This place was great, he ate a rib-eye, which he loved, and I ate from the happy hour menu! Sautéed crab fingers and fried asparagus. Our drinks were great and he loved the Mac n cheese!
We attended based on the restaurant's national reputation. The food was excellent. The dining area was open and a bit loud. While we chose the Wagyu option at the waiter's suggestion, we concluded the added price might be more than the added value. The online wine listing was out-of-date, so we had to choose an alternate wine than the one anticipated. (The alternate was good.) We did have one miscommunication with the waiter on an item ordered, but he quickly corrected the delivery. Overall, we had a great time, and are glad we checked it out, but next time will find a comparable venue closer to home.
Celebrated my mom and dad’s 65th wedding anniversary...it was amazing...thanks again Ronnie and staff.
Brought my parents here for their 37th wedding anniversary. The smoked pork belly is an amazing appetizer. The caesar salad was good, nothing outstanding, my filet had a great flavor and the creamed corn was an excellent side. Our server Dan made the evening perfect. He was very attentive especially to my parents.
Absolutely amazing! Definitely worth the money. Best meal we've ever had
Very nice. Will go again. Randy was excellent server.
Best food...ever. I always get fantastic professional Wait Staff that are above and beyond the best. Thank you Killen's - again - for an unforgettable dining experience.
Excellent food and service! From appetizers to desserts, everything was delightful!
The steaks were cooked to perfection. And the jumbo shrimp were fantastic. The Ambiance was great. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be back. Never had to ask for a thing. They kept an eye on everything. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great, Service was good, And Spaced out the Appetizers, Drinks, Salads, Before Entree-Perfect
First time diners. The food lived up to its reputation, the carrot cake dessert was exceptional, the dirty martini hit the spot, and the staff was very attentive.
Great food. Attentive staff. Our server was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all items on the menu. We drove over an hour to dine there and it was worth the trip.
It was a fantastic night!!! The food was absolutely incredible and the service was spectacular! I gave the food 4 stars only because my fiancé began to have a mild allergic reaction (he has a shellfish allergy). We did not order any seafood at all (French Onion soup, Iceberg wedge salad, steak, broccoli and cheese risotto and Brussel sprouts). We asked the waiter if any of the food had any contact with shellfish and at first said no, but then checked and found out that the Brussel sprouts could have been cooked in the same oil as shrimp. Luckily, his reaction was mild and he just went home and took some Benedryl. The Brussel sprouts were delicious, but my suggestion is to either not cook common allergens in the same oil/containers or at least label it on the menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience!! We will definitely be back! ❤️
Delicious filet, extremely tender and flavorful. They also had a side special of crawfish macaroni and cheese that was to die for!!
The restaurant is a beautiful sight when you walk in - absolutely stunning! HOWEVER!!! THE NOISE HITS YOU LIKE A WALL! It receded a little once we were seated; but it was still uncomfortable and difficult to have conversation. We did have a great time; the food was fantastic and upon close investigation there was something for everyone’s taste and budget. The best thing however was our server - a personable young woman whose name I couldn’t hear :( but she was awesome (She has a dog named Benelli and wears a duck band ring if that helps!). She made me forget about the noise level as did an awesome Manhattan but I don’t know if I would return only because of the noise!
Great experience. Vehicle was valet parked and returned quickly without damage. Wonderful whisky and wine selection. Entrees were prepared just as we ordered. We split our salads and side dishes and it was still a lot of food. Filet was perfect, the Red Snapper was delicious. Dessert put us over the edge, it was their carrot cake. Don’t go to Killen’s without having this dessert.
I’ve been going to Killens steakhouse for the past 8 years and have always had a great meal! From the time they were a small 80-90 top restaurant to their new location it’s always been consistently good. Good job to Ronnie Killen and his team!
The food and service were great, the steaks here are some of the best cuts and flavor I have eaten. This is the best place to get a steak in Pearland, and don't forget to try the carrot cake for dessert.
Killen's food never disappoints! Our server, Bryan, was attentive and personable.
An Excellent Experience!!!! The food - every bite of it was good and worth the value. The staff was great and the atmosphere is exactly what you want on a special night out or as I saw with a few groups it looks like a great place for group dinners too. Just Excellent
Consistently excellent food. The main dining room is rather loud (at least on a weekend night), but the side rooms (lined with wine bottles) are quiet and relatively intimate. The wait staff is hard working and unobtrusive.
Our server Chad was amazing. He was funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in serving us our meal and requests. This was our first time to Killen's steakhouse, and it will not be our last. Everything was outstanding. The restaurant is very clean, the noise is not so loud, the amount of space between table and guests was near perfect. We have a wonderful experience.
It was our anniversary and we had a nice greeting. Our server was polite and helpful with the wine list but after that it all seemed rushed. Our appetizer came out within 5 minutes of ordering and our entrees within 10 minutes of the appetizer. The steaks are completely crusted on both sides with black pepper...which I am sure many people enjoy, but I do not. I could not eat after one bite. I tried to trim off but was mangling the meat so left for my husband to take home. We ordered Brussel sprouts and broccoli and cheese risotto as sides. The brussel sprouts were completely raw and the risotto was raw broccoli and gobs of cheese. I couldn’t even find any rice! The server never once asked how everything was....which I was shocked about because I would think if you see a steak pretty much untouched and one of the two sides untouched you as a trained server should ask. I was sad. We had a good experience at Killen’s when they first moved to the new location but based on this experience I would be reluctant to go back.
Great food and service. Fantastic bourbon selection at the bar.
I usually frequent Killens once a quarter entertaining colleagues, business guests or international customers. However I have noticed lately (4Q last year and my last meal this past week) that quality of service is declining. If you include 20% gratuity for my party size on a bill that is $1500, I better not have to wait to order wine or my meal. I expect to be given some attention to ensure my guests are enjoying their streak. Not once did any of the staff check to see if we liked our steaks or if they were prepared to our liking. I had to ask for bread several times when dinner was served and never received it. Also, unlike other steakhouses, for a party of 10, I would expect a manager to greet us at some point. I guess I am used to service at other high-end steakhouses or even at run-of-the-mill steakhouses. Save your money and get friendlier, attentive service at Texas Roadhouse. Ugh!
Had dinner with friends for a birthday celebration. Service was good and the food was outstanding. I had the snapper with lump crab meat, which my friends thought was an odd choice at a steakhouse, but it was the yummiest lump crab meat sauce on the best snapper filet I've ever had. The others enjoyed their beef filets. It was particularly quiet on this evening, because the restaurant wasn't very crowded. We definitely will go back.
Can’t say enough good things about Killen’s Steakhouse!
Appetizers, sides, entrees, and dessert exceeded our expectations.
James our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, but never hoovering.
Drinks at the bar were innovative and there is an extensive variety of beer and wine.
Great dining experience and will definitely return.
Filet was small and not as good as last. Last time the meat was juicy and flavorful. Was not worth the premium price.
We loved our experience there. We attended for my birthday and could not be more happy. The New York strip Wagu flight was amazing. Had a Port flight with dessert and loved it. Only thing missing was the service when we arrived. It did not seem that we were waited on for about 10 minutes. It is a good thing we were not in a rush. When we were greeted, it was amazing, but it did take a while when it was not that busy.
