I set this dinner up for a small gathering of 10. It was to celebrate my business partner getting married. I broke my leg just before this dinner and was unable to attend. However, everyone that did attend was very happy with Killen’s and called to let me know how much they enjoyed their food and the restaurant. Thank you Killen’s for a great evening for my friends. That means a lot to me. My friends and family and I look forward to dining with you in the future.

Appetizers were good and the service was great. My very expensive waygu steak was not tender and not very good. I wouldn’t complain but this is a steak house. I hope others have better luck.

The steaks are outstanding. The fried shrimp is as good as it gets. The CFS had an unchewable streak of gristle. Although we alerted the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday there was never any acknowledgement by the restaurant. Found that a little odd for a qiality restaurant.

During this visit we tried two plates:

1. 8 oz wet aged Fillet Mignon which was not bad at all, but it was underwhelming. Actually I was a bit disappointed.

2. Country fried steak...yes country fried steak and it was superb. Best value in the menu.

Service is not on par with other high end steak houses, but it was adequate and friendly.

Food and service were excellent, but Killen’s has lost their charm with the larger NOISY space! If you are going to charge those prices your patrons shouldn’t have to dine in a circus! Too noisy! Went there for a romantic anniversary dinner expecting the same ambience as the old location, we were sorely disappointed. We won’t be returning.

Food and service was great! It’s does tend to get noisy. When spending that kind of money, I prefer not to have to yell when having conversation.

We wanted a nice steakhouse without driving all the way to Houston. We had a wonderful time and James was an exceptional waiter. French 75’s, “The Matrix” looking wine cellar, smoked, perfectly cooked steaks and whiskey flights...an overall great night.

Killen's is one of our Dinner Clubs favorite places. First time to new location. A little noisy. Loved the cozy feel of old place but realize he needed a larger place. The meus typeset a little small for our older eyes. Love the way the dining room is laid out. Enjoyed watching the kitchen. That said....The steaks were yummy as well as all of our dinner chooses, App sampler, creamed spinach, carrot cake and chocolate bar. Kris our waiter was wonderful. Polite and made sure we had a lovely time. We will be back.

Our service was very slow. The waiter did t n ow we had been seated, so we wat hung about a half dozen people pass us by. We did have o e waiter, after 10 mins, if we had been helped & stayed he would get our waiter. That happened after another 10 mins. We were seated at 5:30 so they were not very busy. We ran out of bread, the waiter said he would bring more. But that took another 20 mins & us asking again. Overall just ok & pricey

Overall, we had a pleasant first experience at Killen's. The crab cake appetizer was pretty good, a nice portion. The spinach strawberry salad was fantastic, however, the caesar salad was lackluster.

For our main courses, we ordered a 16oz dry-aged ribeye (medium) with lobster tail and the 14oz domestic wagyu (medium rare).

The dry-aged ribeye was definitely over cooked, probably medium-well. I found it odd that the server did not ask us to cut into our steaks - seems a bit arrogant. In addition, the lobster tail was topped with spinach, garlic, parmesan and bread crumbs. This sounded delicious when I ordered it, but once I tasted the lobster paired with the steak - it was just too much flavor for one plate.

The domestic wagyu was a delicious cut of meat, however, we found both steaks to be very over seasoned. The peppercorn crust on each steak was a bit over powering, especially on wagyu. A bit disappointing.

Our side dishes (forest mushrooms, creamed spinach, skillet potatoes) were delicious. As was the New York style cheesecake for dessert.

Unfortunately, we were most disappointed in the steaks at Killen's. We would be willing to give it another try in the future as the service and everything else was great.

Wow, a most delicious filet paired with a side of brussels sprouts! Love that the server was careful with my gluten sensitivity. French Creme Brulee cannot be beat. A wonderful treat for a birthday celebration.

The food at Killen's is very good. The price reflects it, though, so I would say to go here for a special occasion, not just the casual night dining out. Service was excellent.

We live on the northeast side and my daughter selected a return trip to Killen's Steakhouse as her preferred destination to celebrate her 19th Birthday. Appetizers, main course, sides and desserts were once again excellent and the service was stellar. Well worth the hour drive; I'm certain we will be returning.

This was my wife and I's 11th anniversary and first dining experience at Killen's Steakhouse. The food was phenomenal, and the staff was superb and attentive. They even go the extra mile for the experience and had a personalized thank you card on the table for us. It's little things like this that top off an experience.

We have been trying to get to Killen's for quite some time and finally remembered to make a reservation. Normally, if we are going to a great steakhouse, we are downtown and this is in Pearland, so it does take some planning to get there. They have an extensive wine list. The menu is "typical" Texas steakhouse with some entrees other than steak, and a whole host of steaks from which to choose. The sizes are limited though -- for example, I like a 6 oz filet, but they only offered an 8 oz (we had leftovers for steak and eggs the next morning though). Their menu has a variety of side dishes. This is the type of steakhouse where you order your steak separate from everything else -- i.e. your steak comes with NOTHING but the steak. Our steaks were really good and cooked to correct temperature ordered, as should be the case at these prices. Be prepared to spend a little over $100.00 per person for one drink each, a SHARED appetizer, steaks and two SHARED side dishes and standard 20% gratuity -- quite expensive, but along the lines of other top steakhouses in the Houston area.

This was our first time to Killen’s although I had heard and read a lot about it. One of best steaks in Texas and the USA. Agreed. And great service, too. And on the casual side so you don’t feel like you must get real dressed up.

Our most recent visit was for my birthday celebration.

The food is FANTASTIC. We both ordered the 8oz domestic Wagyu filet mignon (medium rare), creamed corn, and potatoes au gratin served the house stout. The steak was so tender, it was like slicing butter. The flavor was perfect. It seamed as if the beef would melt in your mouth. It was truly the best steak I've ever eaten. As for the sides, they both exceeded expectations, especially the creamed corn. The stout was similar to Guinness with a hint of a chocolate and coffee for a smooth rich flavor that blended well with the meal. Portion size was perfect, leaving us filling "full", but not "stuffed".

The service was very formal, which I guess is expected at a restaurant where dinner for 2 ran over $200. The wait staff was attentive, making sure every detail of the table and service was perfect, almost to the level of obsessively compulsive. The moment a bread crumb hit the table, someone was scooping it away. Water glasses were refilled any time they were less than 2/3 full. I believe that we had 3 staff members exclusively tending to our table of 2. Table place settings were immaculate with every fork, spoon, and knife precisely arranged. Cloth napkins were starched and ornately folded.

Although the atmosphere and service is a little too formal for my personal taste, overall it was a great experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Killen's to anyone wanting to celebrate a special event or to experience a fantastic meal. I do look forward to our next visit.

First of all a reservation was made and met by this establishment which sometimes isn't the case. Second the waiter Randy was on top of his game definitely want him to wait on us again tue next time we visit. And last but not least the food from the appetizers to the desert was absolutely amazing and the beer menu was unique to me but again Randy found me something that went well with my ney york strip.

We have made several trips to Killen's with all of them being better than the last. It is higher priced than most places and once it got packed the noise was there but not like a Joe's Crabshack or even an Olive Garden. Those might be the closest things to a gripe I could make. That being said, you do not go to this kind of place on a budget. It was worth every penny to me between the elevated level of service and world class food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, seasoned beautifully and complimented by mouth watering sides. The place could stand alone as Killen's Carrot Cake Shoppe. Seriously, try the carrot cake. It can't be touched by anything else in Houston. Come hungry, bring your wallet and enjoy the experience.
