Experience was great in terms of the service, explanations and ambiance. The side dishes were also good. The steak on the other hand (the main attraction of the night of course) was mediocre. It was extremely salty. My wife and I ordered it medium . Mine seemed medium well (hers was the right Cooking grade). Both steaks were extremely salty that we only finished half of the rib eye and filet mignon. Not sure if we would return. We ordered the exact cut from Double eagle steak house at the galleria and killians doesn’t compare. I think we may have just had a bad experience as I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place.

We have eaten here many times and only had less than excellent experience one time. We got one of the quiet upper level corner tables and it was nice. The noise level in the main restaurant is higher than I like for a high end restaurant. Everything else was just perfect. We had red snapper, crab cake, spinach salad, and brussel sprouts. Every morsel was excellent.

Our dinner was excellent, the waiter was very personable and helpful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We love the new restaurant! Last time we had been to Killen’s in Pearland was in their old digs more than 4 years ago. The only “complaint” we had was when you’re charging customers a lot of money for dinner and wine, the servers should know what kind of salad they have in their hands. Maybe the server was new, but he had no clue which salad was which.

The food is amazing, the atmosphere was wonderful. Unfortunately we had little attention from our waiter, Kristopher (who seems to give other tables more attention). Other waiters we saw there offered more bread, asked if they wanted refills, always asked if they needed anything. Ours does the bare minimum and I had to flag him down constantly for anything. Asked him for bread and he totally forgot until he came back with our actual meal, then he remembered and told someone else to bring it for us. Also when we first ordered, we barely started telling him what starter we wanted and he walked away to another table without us finishing our order. At the end he just dropped off the check and ran off without giving me a pen. I've honestly had better service at Outback Steakhouse. This kind of service was not expected from a restaurant of this caliber. The other waiters here did an amazing job at their tables and we wished they were our waiter. This establishment is great and the other waiters are wonderful. But if you get Kristopher, please ask for another waiter, and you won't be disappointed.

What turned us off the most is that my husband couldn’t wear his cap, but one of the male workers could have gauges in his ears with a long pony tail. I understand it’s a nice restaurant, but you if you have rules of appearance in your place of business it needs to go for everyone. More so the employees. A cap is more business casual than gauges.

We are very upset with the way our steak was handled. My wife and I ordered the 27oz bone in ribeye to share and was asked if we wanted cut. We said yes, but never thought the server would literally cut the steak in half. My piece of steak had the bone and my wife had the eye. Being at an upscale steakhouse you would never expect that kind of service.

It was our first time to Killen’s Steakhouse since the restaurant moved from the location on SH-35.

I know the restaurant is top notch, and since it’s close to our house, I thought we’d try it out for Valentines dinner (which we celebrated on Friday).

Large crowd, but with Open Table reservations, we were sat right away. Our waiter and helpers were prompt and attentive all night.

Ordered the pork belly appetizer which was spot on. Wonderful smokiness, tender fat that was perfectly rendered, and a glaze pairing which was fantastic. I wish it came with more, it was so darn good.

Ordered the 16oz dry aged ribeye. I was planning on the domestic wagyu, but due to our budget, I went a little cheaper (still $60+) for the dry aged. Upon arrival to our table, the steak was presented beautifully with a classic salt and pepper crust that I absolutely love.

When I cut my first piece, I was a little disappointed since it was a medium to medium-well doneness, versus the medium-rare I had asked for. The majority of the steak teetered towards the medium-well side, but had a decent texture and meaty flavor that is expected with the dry aged cut.

Overall, it was a good steak. I guess I just had a preconceived idea of what my steak experience was going to be like, and I was slightly disappointed.

I say that to say this, I completely understand that during the controlled chaos of a full house with a wait list, there is going to be some oversight and achieving the slow, methodical perfection that the chef(s) would normally put into each dish can waver slightly.

My wife and I will most definitely be back. I told her on the way home that I would like to try the restaurant again on a slower non-holiday night. I have no doubts that if I ordered the exact same thing on a different day, it would be perfectly crafted.

Thanks for the opportunity to share our experience.

Celebrating our 42nd anniversary and highly anticipated having a wonderful evening. Our first time at Killen’s.
It was literally awful.
LOUD.
Sullen waitress who never once smiled, and whom we could not hear.
Had to request the bread initially promised to us.
French onion soup had either a piece of plastic or an onion skin in it. Stomach turning.
Steaks served without even a garnish or sprinkling of parsley flakes, and on cold plates. Unappealing and unexciting.
We opted out on dessert.

We’ve had some great steaks as we eat out often.....Killen’s Steakhouse took steak to a new level of perfection. The pork belly and scallop appetizer, and the creamed spinach and mac and cheese sides were also outstanding. Ronnie Killen and team make food into gold!

The day was Valentine’s Day, limited menu and it was busy, the waiter was a little different. He counted the carbs on our table and recommended that we get some vegetables. Seemed bothered by the fact that I didn’t touch my dessert and didn’t asked me if I wanted to take it with me. Overall the food was good tasting however for the price there are other options as well.

It was Valentine’s Day so they offered a pre-fixed menu. I ordered my steak medium and I was brought a medium well steak twice. I settled and ate the medium well steak. I was somewhat annoyed because our waiter didn’t even seem concerned that I wasn’t completely satisfied with my steak. Personally, I think Killen’s is overrated.

Excellent Valentine’s Day meal. The menu was set, but had great selections. I had the ribeye and my wide the filet mignon, both were great. We had crab cakes and scallops for appetizers, shared 1/2, and both were excellent. The spinach salad was also good. Highly recommend.

This was the first time we have been to their new location. I will have to say I much preferred the old location that was very nice and quiet. The Valentines Day menu was quite over priced and the food was not as good as we remembered it at the old location. Our filets were very tender and done just right. However, there was so much pepper and salt on them that it detracted from the experience.
We probably won't be back.

Food was good but not worth a 200 plus bill for two. We knew Killen's wasn't cheap but the foods usually always good. The last time we ate there was at their old place. Much more comfy and pleasurable.
The current Killen's is LOUD and not nearly as pleasurable as their last place. When we walked in it almost seemed like we were in the wrong place. Again, it was LOUD then we were walked to our table which was fine but again even though we weren't close to any other tables, it didn't seem nearly as comfortable
as the old place. Service was outstanding and yes, steaks were good. Mine was medium as ordered but didn't seem as hot as I'd expected it. For a 25th it was just fine however; don't think I'd go back or will be going back anytime soon.

Arrived at the restaurant and was seated at the exit door in the wine room. It was 60 degrees at our table. Asked to be moved because we were freezing, even though we had on our jackets. Finally were moved into the main dining room 30 minutes after our reservation. Immediately ordered salad and our main course. We asked our waiter were our food was twice. Received our salad 45 minutes later and waited another 30 minutes for our main course which arrived cold, having sat in the kitchen for a while. Crab cakes were full of breading and very little crab, and ice cold. Steaks were ordered rare to rare plus and arrived medium. Didn’t send anything back but left the food on our plates. Waiter didn’t even ask why. We won’t be returning. Was celebrating a special birthday.

Another exquisite meals at Killen’s Steak House. I had the wet-aged filet, and my husband had a dry-aged Rib eye. We added a very reasonably-priced Chilean Pinot Noir that complemented the steaks nicely. The creamed corn has just the right amount of heat plus sweet, and the caramel ice cream and chocolate truffles were the perfect final touch.

We have been dining at Killen's Steakhouse for years and the quality and service continue to be excellent. To me, this establishment stands out because every single dish is delicious, not just the steaks. For instance, I had the red snapper with lump crab and the fish was better than you would find at most local seafood restaurants around here. My wife had the filet mignon and we also had ceasar salad with fried anchovies, French onion soup, and broccoli-cheese risotto, all excellent. The triple chocolate mousse cheesecake was a great way to end the meal (To Go!) There is also an amazing wine selection but it is good to know that you can get wine by the glass as well.
