Hostess's attitude was pretentious, waiter was not to be found when needed. Food was ok, but honestly for the money, service should have been more attentive.

We have been coming to Kil@wat for many years, It has become a tradition to dine here each year when we come to see the Rep's production of "A Chistmas Carol", and we have never been disappointed! It is the most perfect beginning to a memorable evening and the staff is always considerate to get us "to the show" on time, a very valuable and appreciated experience, not to mention the delightful and well prepared meals, for all tastes. See you next year!

Pre-symphony date was excellent. Mario is a pleasure as our server. Short Ribs were the best ever. Beet salad we split was just OK. Cocktail heavy ice and low on substance. Crem brulet' dessert was nice. One of our favorite places.

Our breakfast for 4 was just perfect. We started with good Bloody Mary's and had time to relax. Two of our guests were visitors from Fl. and Az.. We then ate a great breakfast. Our service was perfect, Carrie, and timed for conversation. Thanks. Two of the group stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Highly recommended!

Excellent service by wait staff. Overlooked by hostess when waiting to be seated. Apple cobbler was undercooked and the metallic taste of the skillet was noticeable in the apples.
Overall though a very enjoyable evening. Both of our dinners were excellent.

Mario was pleasant, efficient and prompt as our server. Pork chop was good. Sweet potato gnocchi was creative but bland. Efficient service got us to our theater with ample time.

Everything was exceptional. The only negative thing I have to mention is that the thanksgiving dinner should be at a lower price. The 49 dollars menu is overpriced.

Met here for a meeting with some business partners. The ambiance was inviting and upscale. The servers were welcoming and we felt catered to. We thought the bill would be much more. So we were very satisfied. We would return and definitely invite others.

Dined here prior to attending the symphony. Hostess very accommodating when we asked to be moved to a quieter table. Service and food were excellent. I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. My partner had the trout which he was very happy with.

This trip was disappointment for me. We had a light meal. The opening salads were quite good, and my friend said her crab cake was delicious. I ordered the pear and goat cheese flatbread. It was a dry piece of flatbread with three paper thin slices of pear (delicious flavor when I found it), three small pieces of good goat cheese and a mound of greens on top. To their credit, they took this item off of our bill when I registered my reaction . I'll return to Killiwatt again because the location and ambiance are great and I have had very good meals there previously. I just can't say the same for this experience.

Kil@Wat is always our preferred dining spot when attending a play or concert. The food is exceptional but very expensive. The menu is unfortunately not gluten free friendly but their creme brûlée was delicious. Too bad it was so small for $9.

We eat at Kil@wat frequently but this most recent evening we had a new server and he not as organized as our usual experience. We had two hours but were almost late for our show. We will be back as 9 of 10 times service is great.

Beautiful space - someone really cares about ambience and it shows! A+ in this area. Server was friendly but not attentive. Our used plates for apps, bread sat almost piled up on our table long after we were finished. Water glasses empty & finally refilled once. A table of 3 was seated after our table of 2 - and they received their entrees first. Only when our entrees finally arrived were we checked on or offered 2nd cocktails which we declined because by that point we weren't too thrilled with the experience. The salmon was excellent. We really wanted to like Kilowat but unfortunately won't be back. The bar Clear in the lobby was a much better service experience so we'd probably go back there for drinks.

We were very impressed with the whole evening. The server was excellent he asked if we were going to a show and what time we need to leave. He made sure we were not rush and made it to the show with plenty of time. Food was excellent we had the mussels of an appetizer and would go back for them.

Made reservations prior to attending the Milwaukee Ballet. I gave us 1.5 hours which wasn't nearly enough time. After 45 minutes we still had not received our appetizer. I asked the waitress letting her know we were on a schedule. She was very polite, and the food followed, however the appetizer came at the same time as the food. I like a leisurely dinner, but by the time we got our food we had to rush through it. We got the pear flatbread which was awful. The flatbread was rock hard. However, our meals, the chicken breast and the short rib made up for it - both were fantastic. Enjoyed the atmosphere, trendy and cozy, perfect for conversation.

We dined there on a Saturday night before a show downtown. Our timing was somewhat tight due to the number of diners there and we let our waiter Oliver know. In the hour we had he made sure that our dishes arrived promptly and we felt like everything was normal - unrushed. Kudos to him and the kitchen staff.

We had the salmon, the dry aged steak, and the pork chop. All agreed that their choices were very good and the food amount was just right. The steak comes with a rich brown sauce covering the filet and some of the purple potatoes that accompany it. A wild rice “hash brown” served as the bed for the salmon which was tender and flaky. The pork chop was sweet and moist with a unique flavor.

Well done for dinner.

So... we stopped back after the show to have the dessert we did not have time for and had a very different experience. The waiter at that time clearly did not want to be there. The desserts are frankly not worth ordering. The brûlée is perhaps half the size one is normally served (@9$) and seemed to have more of a flan consistency. The cheesecake was tasty but dry. The chocolate fondant was ok. The americano coffee was served in a small coffee cup and was lukewarm - suspiciously similar to a regular coffee from a pot. Clearly was not a correct americano.

Go for the dinner as it is very good but consider having dessert somewhere else.

a nice menu for brunch or lunch. Salmon hash with poached eggs, with hollandaise sauce was a treat. My granddaughter enjoyed pancakes and the restaurant accommodated our timing so we could get to the theater by 1PM

We were a little early for our reservation, and were told we would have to wait when there was clearly enough empty tables available. As I found out later the reason was because there was no
one to clear and set tables. The food was very good but the waitstaff could not get it together, too slow to take our order, food order, drink order, pick something! It is such a shame to have such a beautiful facility with such good food, staffed by such inept people. As we were leaving to get to our show at Uihlein Hall, the staff was standing around the front desk....with at least 12 plus dirty tables to be taken care! No management around?? Too bad, I will have to find another restaurant to go to next time!
