Kiki's is a French Bistro with regional specialties and has the look and feel of a French country inn.

It has received 3-star reviews from both *The Chicago Tribune* and *The Sun Times*, and now in its eighteenth year, Kiki's Bistro maintains its well-earned reputation of gastronomic excellence and friendly, professional service. A comfortable French country atmosphere attracts an eclectic array of food-lovers, including celebrities, politicians, and acclaimed chefs.

Previous to Kiki's Bistro, Georges "Kiki" Cuisance opened Le Bordeaux at Madison and State in 1969. The restaurant attained a revered status among cosmopolitan Chicagoans, and when "Kiki" moved his kitchen to its current River North digs, his avid following of regulars and Francophiles pursued without hesitation. In an official proclamation the City of Chicago praised Mr. Cuisance for being at the forefront of introducing French cuisine and savoir-vivre to Chicago's developing dining scene.

Another great meal at Kiki's! we went for dinner on Friday to celebrate my birthday. A fine time was had by all and the staff found a delicious last minute birthay cake. I always enjoy this very special place!

I have been here a few times and have enjoyed it. Food was very good as usual; however, the service was off this time. We were there on a Friday night and felt rushed throughout our meal. We weren't finished eating our meal and dessert and plates were whisked away so quickly. For dessert we were able to stop the waiter from taking the plates as we weren't finished. When we were done with dessert we wanted didn't want coffee but wanted to order another drink and felt like the waiter didn't want us to do that and and wanted our table to be free even though there were still empty tables available. We felt rushed out of there so we paid our bill and went somewhere else for another drink.

One of those rare finds that only locals know about. You could be in a small bistro in Paris. The food is wonderful.

If you haven't gone in a while, Go. If you've never gone, Go Now. Kiki's hospitality and reliably delicious French classics can't be beat. We were there with an out of town friend, "closed the place" on a week night, and never felt anything but warm hospitality. Skate was especially delicious and well balanced in flavor profile. Guest loved his foie gras. Kiki's deserves to be on everyone's short list.

Disappointing. KiKi's was recommended by a friend. Service was friendly, but slow for our table. Food was mediocre. My duck leg was overcooked (dry) and my date's steak was thin and without much flavor. Apparently their was a large private party this evening, which may account for the situation, but we were not impressed.

Love Kiki’s!! The atmosphere and patrons are both refined yet comfortable, and you can have a real conversation without having to shout and/or overhear your neighbors. The escargot and French onion soup are my favorites, but there are always interesting specials to consider. In the depths of Chicago’s “winter in April” they kept some of their heartier entries on the menu too. The service is impeccable, and on this busy Saturday night that had our waiter scurrying, it was Kiki himself who made sure our wine glasses were refilled. I look forward to trying their outdoor patio space this summer!

very disappointing. 2 in our party of 4 ordered the Fix Price meal Steak and Chips. The meet was not eatable - overcooked, could not cut, bad taste. They took off the stake from the bill but kept the cost of first course and desert that resulted in $6 saving per person with no main course.

I have been dining at Kiki‘s for more than two decades. This time I took a group of nine others with me. We adored each and every hors d’oeuvre, entrée and dessert that we had. The kir was disappointing. I highly recommend Kiki’s as the best French cuisine in Chicago.

Two vegetarian options were nice. More to come? Fantastic bread. Creative salad. Reliably outstanding French Onion Soup. Every entree (six in our group) was rated delicious. Wonderful lemon tart. Well-paced meal. Excellent service!

Always a pleasure to dine at KiKi’s. We’ve been coming to this charming restaurant for 35 years. This particular evening we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary!
You will recall this was Julia Child’s go to restsurant when in Chicago....

Kiki's is a classic French bistro. It's been consistently consistent over the years, staying within the bounds of what you expect from a good Parisian bistro. It's always worth returning to if you prefer your food to be real and flavorful. The classics are all there: steak e frites, cassoulet, tarte aux pommes and more. And none of it comes served with foam, dry ice or a piece of Scandinavian driftwood for your amuse bouche.

Always a solid, fine meal. The food is really good but I only gave it 3 stars this time as the steak frites could have been a little more seared (we get spoiled by steaks at the steak houses) and a little less done (ordered Medium rare, was medium well . Their other more classic french dishes were great as are the appetizers. They are very consistent and its a great atmosphere. Classic restaurant that feels like a French Bistro.

foie gras was excellent. Main course was very good, authentic cassoulet. Dessert was bad. Espresso Ice Cream Cake was frozen, fresh out of the freezer, had to ask for a knife and still couldn’t eat it. Mousse au chocolat was average.

This is an authentic French Bistro that transports you to a side street in Paris or the countryside of Burgundy or Bordeaux. If you are looking for a cool hip place, this is not it; however, if you want authentic, outstanding French food with phenomenal service, then Kikis is your place. First, Kiki greets you at the door and seats you at your table. Then a friendly, knowledgeable waiter warmly welcomes you. Ask away, they know the menu and wines inside and out. My wife and I celebrated Valentines with a romantic dinner here. We had the seared Fois Gras and French onion soup, followed by the steak au poivre and rack of lamb, and topped it all off with profiteroles for dessert. OUTSTANDING!
This is truly a perfect French bistro filled with ambiance, charm, and amazing food and service.

Kiki ran a restaurant in the Loop in the 1980's a half block from my office and it became my favorite --and frequent-- lunch spot. We are now retired and live in a distant burb but when a friend or an opera or play brings us to Chicago KIKI's Bistro is where we go for a perfect dinner. DZ
