...the white dragon sushi! We took our waitress's recommendations and she was spot on for each plate! Delicious food!
One of the best sushi restaurants in San Francisco
Like any excellent sushi restaurant, you will pay a high price for the incredible quality of fish at Kiji. The sticker price may not look much above normal, but the portions are significantly small. You can easily spend upwards of $30 on nigiri and rolls alone and still feel hungry. That being said, this is some of the freshest, most delicious fish I have tasted in this city. They even have the rice down to a perfect science- and trust me, you will notice the difference. I do believe that it is all worth the price, but it helps to know just what you are getting into- and paying for.
Kiji OSA neighborhood gem. The location is axing, and the service and food are outstanding. It a great place for a romantic date night.
The chefs are great and friendly, the fish is fresh and the roles are tasty. The servers are not the greatest...
Went here because my friend is gluten-intolerant. I was impressed that they had gluten-free soy sauce and were able to accommodate the variety of dietary restrictions at my table.
We had their special fixed Valentines Day menu. Great food, great service!
Our waiter was very nice, and I very much enjoyed the different sushi combinations. I will go back there for sure. :)
I definitely like the food at Kiji, but over time I've seen the portions shrink while the prices stay high for sushi. Also, the menu has too many options in all the categories, which makes ordering difficult.
Food was great, sushi was fresh, and menu was very diverse. Also had wine and dessert which were excellent as well. Best if book a reservation because as are most sushi restaurants it's not that big and this is a popular spot. Definitely recommend.
After researching where to take my foreign business associates for an authentic Japanese food experience, I ended up choosing Kiji, based on the reviews and their Michelin rating. The fact that they were not in the usual area of the city also made me think that they were different from the restaurants that cater to tourists in Japan town.
We were not disappointed. Everything we ordered, and we ordered many different things, was beautifully prepared, superbly fresh tasting and perfect combinations of flavors.
The staff was very friendly, personable and helpful. Best Japanese food in San Francisco.
Be aware that it is a very small restaurant so larger groups are more difficult accommodate there.
I really wanted to have excellent sushi for my birthday dinner. I looked up a bunch of places and decided on Kiji based on all the reviews.
It was amazing. Service was wonderful and the ambiance was perfect. Hands down, this is the best sushi we've had outside of Tokyo. It was fresh, and all the recommendations the server made were outstanding.
I highly recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!
Kiji never fails! While we now reserve our trips to Kiji for special occasions post baby's arrival, we recognize this neighborhood gem is a fantastic spot for date night and have always loved our evenings out here. The staff is both polite and helpful, and the food is magical. I would eat here everyday if I could!
I went to Kiji Saturday night when I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a good sushi dinner out with my boyfriend where we didn't have to get dressed up or wait at a crowded bar and it was perfect. The service was great, we took our time, food came quickly, other patrons were all on the same pace as us. if you're looking for an easy dining experience with good food I think Kiji is great, I'll definitely be back.
Kiji may be the best sushi in San Francisco. It's fantastic and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We drive from Marin just to go to Kiji. Awesome.
