Welcome to Khushi"s Restaurant in Dunfermline. Khushi's was the first Indian Restaurant to open in Edinburgh in 1947. The Founder, the late Khushi Mohammed knew that to succeed he needed to produce the best quality and most authentic curries that he could make. At a time when Indian spices and ingredients were impossible to get in Scotland, his spices were imported from the Punjab. Using only the freshest ingredients and years of pioneering Indian food in Scotland, he made Khushi’s an Edinburgh institution. His passion continues to make us endeavour to produce the best and has led to exciting opening of Khushi's Dunfermline!

Lovely decor, nice staff, but expensive for the little portions and tasteless food, £5.50 for 4 pieces of chicken pakora that tasted no better than chicken nuggets from mcds. £3 for a garlic nan bread that tasted not like garlic and was TINY. £2 for a can of cola. £9.50 for a tiny bowl of chicken tikka masala which was very distasteful. Therefore, nice to look at but will not be returning due to the cost and tasteless food.

We all had a good time. Service very friendly. All the various dishes were fantastic and our gluten intolerant friend had almost as much choice as the rest of us. Would recommend khushi's Dunfermline highly.

I have been to Khushis in Dunfermline previously but only for lunch. My girlfriend and I arrived about 15 minutes early but were seated without any problems. Complimentary nibbles were brought out and drinks orders taken. We were then left for about 5-10 minutes to look at the menu which was fine as I really hate being badgered from the minute i sit down. Food was ordered and brought to our table quickly. We ordered the 4 kebab platter to start with and the waiter explained what each of them was without being asked which was a nice touch I thought. The food was fantastic as it always has been when I was there and the bill showed the excellent value for money available.

Having eaten in a great many indian restaurants, this may be the best indian food i have tasted to date and very good value for a lunchtime meal. Though i was in Dunfermline on other business, i would happily travel from Falkirk to eat here.

Warm welcome, great table in booth allowing for private conversation for a good catchup with friends or a romantic meal a deux. Great atmosphere, mix of couples, families, all generations. Great waiting staff. Prompt service and great food served tapas style so great tastes of lots of dishes. Bring your own if you fancy a beer or wine. Lovely setting. Been a few times and always have great food and a great time. Highly recommend.

Lunch menu was very good - not huge but enough variety to suit most tastes. Food was very good and not to expensive which would explain why the restaurant was busy. Service was very good and the staff were very friendly.

Been to Kush's several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. Food is consistently good and staff friendly. I particularly like the fact that the dishes are very fresh and you can actually pick out the flavours of the individual ingredients. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
