Keystone Ranch Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I loved the location and mountain views. The service was perfect. The salad and bread were very good. When the main course came, I was expecting a tender, juicy Prime quality steak. My steak was overcooked, dry and without seasoning. The mashed potatoes also lacked flavor. Very disappointing. We may try one more time but will probably order something other than steaks.
The Ranch is a wonderful place in Keystone, Colorado. The food is terrific and the service is impeccable. The view from the dining room of the mountain and the countryside is inspiring. Everything we had was fresh, well prepared and delicious. We would highly recommend it. To any one looking for a great expereince.
As always, The Ranch was amazing! The food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, took some special dietary restrictions into account, and recommended wines that pared well with our meals. The bone marrow, kettle soup, and filets were the highlights for us. We're still talking about the food... can't wait to go back!
We try to dine there on every trip to the Keystone/Breckenridge area. The service is outstanding, the views of the mountains are excellent, and the food is always wonderful. My wife always eats a steak and this time I had the Elk... both were what we expected. We will be back for sure....
There was suppose to be complimentary valet parking but no one was there. So not too happy about that because we had a disabled person with us. They eventually sent someone to our table to get the keys and said they would pull the car up when we were ready which they did. We had Brandon as our server and we would highly recommend him. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable and gave excellent advice on food and wine choices. The food was excellent, absolutely no complaints about our dinners, drinks and appetizers. Dessert by the fireplace was a wonderful finish to a lovely time. We shared 3 desserts and they were excellent also. We enjoyed talking to some other diners who were seated at the couches with us. That was nice to get other people's take on their dining experience. Everyone loved it. If I had any complaints it was that as the restaurant filled up it got rather noisy. If you go ask for Brandon as your server.
Appreciated the flexibility when part of our party arrived late. Delicious appetizers(crab, pumpkin, oysters) and new zealand wapiti and filet mignon. Soufflé in the bar great way to finish evening. We had a 3 year old and they were very accommodating. We'll be back next trip to keystone.
The meat was outstanding, as a Brazilian, I find it very hard to find meat that tastes good in Colorado, this one was not only soft but tasted great, and medium rare was just perfectly cooked. The mussels were also delicious. The place is beautiful, an old ranch, and the drive up even better, drive as the sun is setting! Service is good, but don't expect them to pour your wine, but hey, if you are lucky enough to be in the mountains you are lucky enough!
One of our favorite places. For a ski resort, it is comfortably elegant, friendly and cozy at the same time even though it has quite a few tables. It has a wonderful option after your main course to move to another room with a fabulous fireplace for dessert, coffee and after dinner wines if you so desire.
The staff was nice, but lighting was dim and quite dark in some spots- needs updating? The cabin like atmosphere was not particularly charming. The food was pricey and plates were hit or miss. The squash soup was absolutely delicious but the smoked mashed potatoes were way over smoked, leaving my mouth tasting disgusting. The shoo fly pie was not worth finishing, neither of us took more than two bites then asked each other if the other liked it at all. Too funny!
Keystone Ranch is our go-to restaurant for at least one higher end dining experience during our yearly ski trip in Summit County, CO. The atmosphere is unmatched. A true mountain style, relaxing fine dining evening. The bonus of having after dinner drinks and dessert in a cabin style sitting area with comfortable seating and a large wood burning fireplace is fun and unique experience. We will be dining at Keystone Ranch for years to come!
Dinner was amazing. We had a large party of 8 that included 4 young children. The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was high class log cabin style and the food was superb. Far exceeded our expectations. Was the perfect way to kick off our family ski vacation! Thanks for a great experience!
We were staying in Keystone Village but wanted to break out one night and this did not disappoint. The menu was fantastic, but make sure to leave room for dessert. The historic fireplace, the history of the original house, and of course the dessert are the perfect end to a superb dinner
super expensive, apps and dessert were fantastic, main courses were steaks and very disappointing, steaks small and overcooked, despite letting staff know, zero considerations were made, overall underwhelming, will not be back, summit county has so much better to offer (Briar Rose, Hearthstone, etc)
Once again another excellent meal at Keystone Ranch. We have eaten here numerous times with Friends. Food is outstanding and usually represents Colorado cuisine with game, meats, and other interesting options. We had the Wagyu, the short rib( divine) and even Wapiti. Deserts also phenomenal. One of the best restaurants ( like it's sister restaurant at Ski Tip Ranch) in the entire county. Easily rivals many restaurants in Vail. Worth the trip!
We have been patrons of the Ranch for 20 years. We kind of enjoyed the old style combo meal packages and now it's al carte. With that some of the extras are over priced. Our food was served cold this time also. It just didn't have the wow factor it has had in the past
Our first time here after I found it on my Open Table app. Nice complementary shuttle from the Keystone Lodge to and from made it easy to relax while there on a snowy night. John took great care of us with suggestions for dinner and the wonderful dessert- served separately in the original part of the ranch house. Will make this a definite return visit.
