My husband and I had an incredible experience at the Keystone Ranch Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was romantic. I had the scallops, which were buttery and perfect. My husband had the wagyu ribeye, and it was to die for. The soups were fantastic and the dessert experience was fantastic. The server came over to sing happy birthday, and we enjoyed our dessert warm and cozy by the fire place. The transportation to and from Keystone Resort was an added perk! We will definitely be back!
The food was absolutely amazing, particularly the steak! Great view of the mountains from our table, and I really liked that even though this is a fine dining restaurant the dress code is casual, especially after a long day of skiing.
Great food. Excellent service.
The food was terrific. Pretty much everything about the meal was great. Our service was a little bit slow, almost two and a half hours for two adults and two kids to have dinner. Having dessert by the fireplace in the living room was nice. Kids enjoyed their meals as did the adults. Is it expensive, yes but you are on vacation in a posh setting so that was expected and was not shocked at the bill. Overall I would say that it was worth the money for a delicious meal.
Nice setting. Good transportation to and from the keystone resort.
Now for the food, appetizer was food. Main entree was ok (buffalo tenderloin), although ordered medium rare, it was a good medium.
Obviously there were sone issues in the kitchen as not all the entrees arrived together and the soufflé dessert was apparently deflated twice. Got the chocolate bomb. Was also ok but definitely not wow and definitely not worth the price tag that came with it.
All in all, good setting but the food, albeit ok, was not wow and definitely not worth the price tag. Would not return and would only recommend the visit rather than the food.
Great dinner! My husband and I were in Keystone for a quick ski weekend getaway! Loved the comp driver service offered. We each ordered a starter and split the large ribeye. It was more than plenty to go along with the delicious bread they offer and the Bottle of wine we ordered. At first a kitchen staff brought our steak in one plate and the waiter quickly came to explain he put in on purpose to avoid us having to pay the split fee. That was nice! And even though we didn’t order dessert, our waiter offered to let us finish our wine by the fireplace with complementary dessert bites. The original homestead with the fire is great! Will come back again!
Great food. Generous portions Attentive friendly service. You feel like you are dining with family. Great views. Cozy atmosphere
My better half accidentally ordered tenderloin instead of fillet, so later when she claimed it was weird shaped and tougher, I told her I was surprised she ordered it! Everything else was good, the souffle is awesome!
Outstanding restaurant! Great service, great food. Awesome wine selection. Views to die for! We will be back for sure.
Our waiter was John he was awesome. I love this place! Can't wait to come back next year
My husband and I dined at Keystone Ranch during our recent ski vacation. Our meal was one of the best we’ve ever had - starting with assorted fresh beds and the house made gnocchi appetizer, which was light and very tasty. I had the tenderloin filet, brussel sprouts, and sweet potato puree and my husband had the chef’s special poached whitefish and risotto. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented. The house special Souffle came highly recommended by our driver (complimentary transportation to and from the restaurant if you’re staying at Keystone resort). Dessert is ordered before dinner and served in the ranch living room in front of a huge stone fireplace. Delicious Grand Marnier Souffle with a pistachio sauce was a perfect ending to an amazing meal. The service was spot on, and the setting was beautiful. The only negative ... with prices in the $60-$75 range per person for appetizer, entree and dessert it is a bit much to tack on a $6 appetizer plate sharing charge - aren’t appetizers meant to be shared? Keep your prices high and your food fabulous and let your guests share as they will.
Great service as usual!
We enjoyed our date night thoroughly! We ate there a few summers ago. We decided to give it another try. I'm so glad we did. It was a much better experience this time😁 New chef??
Had a wonderful dinner with family to kickoff our annual ski trip. The food was delectable (try the Wagyu and the brussels sprouts) and service was impeccable.
Excellent food and service.
Amazing experience dining at the Ranch! Fantastic food and service. Definitely use the free shuttle they provide.
Excellent. We were a large group of 13 people, and they had a separate room for us, with great service, outstanding food and timings. Best experience in Keystone. Highly recommended!
Valentine’s Day
Incredible ambiance and delicious food! Ask about the fireplace I the original portion of the building. Highly recommend the soufflé! Mike was an amazing waiter!
Keystone Ranch restaurant exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. Our Valentines dinner celebration was made special by the setting and romantic dessert room that surrounded the most incredible fireplace.
Valentine’s Day - what a wonderful treat, from our initial drink at the bar through to dessert in the living room. This is not a meal, it’s an experience.
Fantastic dinner
As usual, this place was delicious! They were very accommodating when we requested a different table due to accessibility issues. You will not be disappointed with the food or the service. It is excellent! Sitting next to the fireplace during dessert is especially cozy & romantic.
Fantastic restaurant. Only comment is the restaurant seemed understaffed; the wait staff did their best (and were great) but they were literally running at times to keep up with everything...which seemed a little out of place for an upscale restaurant. That said, we will absolutely return in the future.
This was our first visit to the Keystone Ranch Restaurant. It was my husband's birthday, so I made a reservation for the entire family. The place was so nice and had interesting decor. The service was great and the food was amazing! They even take you into the original cabin for dessert. We will definitely go back.
Staff so nice and welcoming. The space is perfect for an easterner like me. Loved the fireplace room.
An excellent choice for great food at the Keystone resort.
We went for New Year's Eve. We usually go to Ski Tip Lodge, but I forgot to finalize the reservation and got stuck going here. Unfortunately, it paled in comparison. The food was all precooked- my soup was cold, my bouillabaisse was cold, and my desserts tasted like they'd been sitting out and prepared for a while- souffle should be made and served immediately- it had definitely been sitting under a heat lamp. All in all- my favorite things were the salad and the smoked salmon appetizers, but for the price tag do yourself a favor and go elsewhere- there are plenty of other mediocre restaurants you can go to with way better people watching and way better service. Our server was extremely inattentive- didn't ask us for our drink order until we were on our third course- didn't offer to do anything to compensate for my uneaten dishes she was picking up- no apology, nothing. Very unprofessional.
Service was great and employees were very friendly.
Excellent in every way. Very accommodating to family and children which we appreciated so much. Kudos to Food and Service! Always at the top of our must go to restaurants!
One of the more unique settings I’ve ever dined. We walked in thinking it’s a dud, but the menu quickly dispelled those theories. After dinner dessert in the living room was incredible. Really cool fireplace with an elk over the mantle. Top notch all around.
Serendipity! Although it was challenging to locate the restaurant, we were rewarded with a very special experience. Brandon, our server, contributed to a memorable evening, and the rib-eye was among the best I've ever had. I would rate this restaurant as truly exceptional.
The ambiance at the Ranch is hard to beat. If you like cozy log cabins, this is a great place to be. It is a golf club by day and restaurant by night so you are situated right on the course in Keystone. The valet drivers to the wait staff were all very attentive and helpful. We were disappointed in the food. We both ordered the special (Tuna served over a curry lentil base with purple potatoes). The tuna was sold to us as sushi grade but was far from it - we both found it to be tough. The curry lentils had some heat to them but were otherwise flavorless. We ordered an oatmeal cookie dessert and the edges of the cookie were so hard that it almost shot off our plate when we tried to use our spoons to break it up. The drinks were great and the atmosphere is really amazing, especially around the holidays. At this price point I would expect the food to be exceptional, but it definitely fell short.
Absolutely appalling service for an establishment that hails itself as a top dining destination. After being seated, our party was left unattended for more than 20 minutes. When we attempted repeatedly to get the attention of a bus person to find our server, she simply stared back at us without any acknowledgement and walked away. We were about to leave when the parking valet of all people, approached our table and offered to get us drinks. When a server did finally approach, she apologized rather insincerely and made us feel unwelcome throughout the rest of the evening - avoiding us further instead of trying to overcome the initial neglect. We had extremely slow service throughout the evening with our plates left uncleared for more than 30 minutes after finishing our meals. The food was decent, but steaks undercooked. We didn’t complain as we had already waited over 90 minutes for them. It’s clear that this place is poorly managed. The servers, busers, and managers interests are not aligned which was readily apparent since we had so much time to observe them while we sat neglected. You could see and feel the friction between them. Your poor chef was let down spectacularly by the front of the house. FYI - comp’d drinks are no substitute for a personal apology from the manager who was MIA after checking us in. The only employee who showed superior customer service was the parking valet. Icing on the cake - we had to retrieve our own coats as the coat check person was missing. As Epic season pass holders for many years, we will be reassessing both our skiing and dining options going forward and vote with our dollars. Vail Associates owns this restaurant.
Was absolutely amazing! Was by far the best steak I’ve ever had! They also have their own shuttle service. Picked us up and dropped us off at our condo. Would highly recommend!
Great ambiance, excellent food, great waitstaff, and perfect portions. The lodge living room for dessert was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.
This isn't the easiest spot to find on a dark winter night, but it was worth it once we arrived. In fairness, they also offer free transportation to/from Keystone, but we thought we'd be ok on our own. I'd recommend using their service, even if you're familiar with the area. The food was really good. Only complaint was the escargot, which were a bit bland and not prepared as advertised. But the rest of the meal was excellent, the service was attentive but not overbearing, and the setting was warm and cozy - a not-too-rustic log cabin feel. The best meal I've had in Summit County - and I've been several places.
This a a true gem. As a local in Summit County I have been everywhere and the Ranch for the food and the experience is the best. PJ behind the bar is as welcoming as you could ever ask for and Brandon and John in the dining area really make you feel like this is all normal! Its normal to be treated this perfectly which it is not. The building and atmosphere is just a bonus.
Exceptional Service. Great Food. Thanks to Sarah for making our Christmas Dinner a great one.
Picking up our party in the bad weather really helped us out!
Eat there twice a year. Small problem this trip with the soup. We love the barley soup. I think my wife received a half portion and it seemed less hardy than previous trips. Told our waitress who said they would not charge us the $10 for it. They charged us anyway....most likely because they were busy. The steak was excellent and so we didn’t want to point out the mistake on the bill.
