Keoki's Paradise Ratings and Reviews
Hostess a bit “put out” because I asked for a high chair. There were 8 of us plus one high chair, but nowhere to request one (under special requests). She rolled her eyes and bordered rude. Once seated, Kevin was very nice & efficient. Food took long time to come. I ordered fish special: “so-do” and pricey to boot. “Elouin” (so?) Pinot noir wine very good. My husband said the ribs were good.
Disappointing to spend $130 on a dinner + bottle of wine for 2.
It had probably been 5 years since we last ate at Keoki's. At that a time, we found the service just so-so and the food likewise. After reading recent reviews of Keoki's on Open Table, we decided it was time to give Keoki's another try. I'm glad we did!
Service was warm and professional, and the food was very good. Of course, the ambiance was fantastic, with the waterfalls and the live music. We will have friends visiting from the east coast soon and I think this will be the place to take them.
We returned to Keoki's Paradise for our last evening on Kauai. We split the seafood risotto and the fish sampler: both were excellent and served four diners reasonably well. The four of us were also satisfied with one piece of hula pie. (How could one person possibly finish a piece by him or herself?) The kitchen has upped its game considerably from a decade ago. Menu items were well prepared with creative touches in terms of flavors and garnishes.
We tried Keoki’s while vacationing on Kauai. Our server was great...very personable. He asked where we were from and talked about his two friends who are also from Illinois. He made great recommendations for ordering. The restaurant has a nice relaxing vibe with tiki torches and water features. Bread service is carrot pineapple muffins with cinnamon butter. Unique and delicious sweet start to the meal. We enjoyed the seafood risotto entree as an appetizer as well as our entrees. Fresh catch prepared Keoki’s style for me. Flavors were great. Server had no difficulty subbing extra broccoli instead of rice (I did not need more rice). Husband had the prime rib and enjoyed it. The hula pie dessert was also very good. Overall very enjoyable. We would return!
On time seating for reservation. We were seated up front by the live entertainment and promptly greeted by our server. Drinks were good, food was great, pricing was on point, and service was very good. We have dined here before and will certainly return in the future!
This was our second visit to Keoki's. Advance reservations, even a few hours in advance make a big difference. Many people are walk ins, and the wait starts backing up at 5pm. Wonderful atmosphere with open air dining. The chef's tasting menu is a good value, and a smaller meal overall which I like, rather than a daunting plate of food. The spring rolls were wonderful, and the fish well prepared. I'd go back for the spring rolls alone!
Food and service was amazing. The only down side was (this is understandable as the restaurant was open) but there are cats that hang around as well as other little critters. Try to sit further away from the outskirts and they will stay away. Over all, I highly suggest this restaurant but keep that piece in mind!
Waitress was very friendly. Our entrees were delicious as were the crab cakes, crepe brûlée and hula pie. We were with another couple to celebrate our anniversary and were able to chat quietly and actually hear each other. After our meal, the manager stopped to ask about our food and service and we enthusiastically gave keoki’s a ten!
We come to Kauai every year and Keoki's is ALWAYS where we dine our first and last evenings. The fish is ALWAYS perfect !! The wait staff are attentive and king. Jason was our waiter on the evening of the 5th...very nice young man....attentive and a good conversationalist. We look forward to next year !!
Love this place. Ate there a few days ago and had to go back. Service is exceptional and the food is phenomenal. Had the seafood risotto this time and it didn't disappoint. The Mai Tais were delicious. My wife had the Mahi Mahi and it was very good as well. Kids loved the wax string crafts before while we waited for our food. LOVED it.
We went during our honeymoon vacation on Kauai and it was wonderful! Our server Sofia was so helpful and so knowledgeable of the food and Island! We loved her and the singer Corey was unbelievable he could sing every genre you could Imagine! Wonderful experience!
We found Keoki's after a review from a vacation friend drove us to check it out. The food was good, I wouldn't say amazing, but quality. We ordered the local fish selections, with a recommendation on preparation from our server. The server was nice and accommodating, but not amazing. We also ordered the famous ice cream cake desert and it tasted like Dairy Queen, but that only means that it was delicious, and tasted like a desert you can get in any town in America. Overall, it is an amazingly Hawaiian atmosphere with peaceful water and open air. I don't know if I would go back, because there are so many other option, but if you haven't been it is apparently a local "establishment" that should be tried.
