Kentmorr Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We make the drive from Easton to Kentmoor a couple of times a month. Have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered. The oysters are outstanding in the way that they create them. Steamed crabs in summer are worth the drive. Staff has always been extremely friendly. Food always arrives hot from the kitchen and nothing is over or undercooked. A rel hidden gem!!
Our waitress was fantastic, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. We were there in February so we weren't able to take advantage of the waterfront beach area and what must be a fantastic view across the Bay during daylight. Crab Imperial was generous and overloaded with delicious chunks of crab. Wife felt the scallops were just okay, a little bland. This is not a "fancy" place, it's a comfortable place, not crammed or over-crowded. Will return Spring.
This is a great place! Went for a birthday dinner with the family and everything was perfect. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and the portions were generous. It's a great place for the family or for an outing with friends. We will definitely be back!
Great experience. Decided to go for New Year's Eve. It was our first time there. Felt just as comfortable dressed up or in casual attire. The staff was incredibly friendly, and very attentive. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for great food in s comfortable environment
This was our 1st time at Kentmorr. I had rec'd a gift cert last christmas, but resturant was out of my ususl driving area. It was a very quiet thursday afternoon, but the food was good...the crab cake was great with no filler, the ahi tuna appetizer with panko breading was a wonderful surprise. Even though it is outside my driving area , i will be going back soon and especially during warmer weather.
Our group of 6 was looking for a casual spot for local seafood after watching a Navy game. Kentmorr took us right in. We all enjoyed the crab soups & seafood entrees, along with ice cold beers. We noticed a lot of other diners enjoying digging into heaps of fresh crabs on their tables, but didn't feel up for that kind of work for our meal. The service was quick & friendly. It would also be a great view during the day as it is right on the water.
We have been often for the view of the Bay, Food was ok this time, my husband had a crab cake
I had the oysters, all part of Restaurant week on the Island. We had either the salad which was fresh and very good, Husband had the soup which he loves this time not so much, we both had baked potatoes for our side very over cooked and dry. Oysters were ok, crab cake not the best on the Island. I must say most customers had trays of crabs so that seems what we should have done and not tried the Restaurant week menu. We had a bottle of ok wine but mark up was a little extreme for the bottle that usually sells for much less.
Service was very good considering the Restaurant was packed with patron. We will go back but not for Restaurant week because the menu was limited and we really did not get a good representation of their menu at least not with our meals. Dessert was a piece of cake with rum sauce that was not worth the calories.
Went to Kentmoor for our last crabs of the season and they were worth the trip over the Bay Bridge - heavy and sweet. Their french fries are the crispiest around and the steamed clams were delicious. We couldn't resist dessert and the hot fudge brownie sundae was wonderful! To top it off, watching the sunset from across the Bay was beautiful. We also enjoy Kentmoor for lunch - either the crab cake sandwich or crab salad. Great place to go by either car or boat.
We went to celebrate a birthday and had a lovely time. Food was great(crabs!), service was prompt, drinks were replenished as needed. Only complaint is that everything came at once instead of appetizers first, but it was all hot and good! Desserts were tasty. We will be back hopefully with better weather to try out Dirty Dave's Tiki Bar!
Ordered the shrimp tacos for $12.99...they didn't even come with a side! Just two tacos on a small salad plate. I've never solely had tacos at other dining establishments..typically come with a side.
The presentation of all food plates at our table was lacking. Plastic cups for drinks. Not what I expected.
Service was EXTREMELY SLOW!!!!!! I HAD TO HUNT MY WAITRESS DOWN 2X! IN ADDITION WHILE WE ATE INSIDE WE STILL HAD TO FIGHT FLIES FOR OUR FOOD. THE BEST PART WAS AFTER DINNER AT THE TIKI BAR AND ON THE BEACH WATCHING THE SUNSET. WAIT STAFF NEED TO PICK UP THEIR LEVEL OF SERVICE AND THE FLIES NEED TO BE ADDRESSED
First time diners with a group of 5. Our waitress was wonderful, everyone made us feel welcome. Our food was very good, orange crushes, yum and for the most part it was easy to hear ourselves in a group. As it become more crowded the noise level did rise. It was easy to get to off the Bay Bridge, very pretty ride.
We enjoyed the variety of the menu and special requests were accepted without incident. Separate checks were not an issue. Loved seeing the hanger houses as we drove into the restaurant. Very nice crab cake.
I had forgotten to sign in for Open Table as others had arrived ahead of me, but the staff came to our table to confirm the reservation so it could be added to my account. Super efficient! Would highly recommend and we are planning on coming back again!
Over the past 4 years, we have treated ourselves to a Kentmoor feast 3 times. Each visit was wonderful. Each visit makes me wonder why we do not visit more often. If I was single, the outdoor bar would be a routine place for me. Not sure if I'd meet anyone, but I'd sure enjoy what I was eating and drinking.
what a surprise spot! this was the 4th of July weekend and it was raining so i was worried about getting in somewhere, so i got last minute reservations here and it was wonderful! typical seafood and paper cloth spot. service was good, too! nice location. tiki spot outside looked really fun but the weather wasn't cooperating.
Kentmorr is a victim of its own success. We have been going here for years, and have watched it grow from a simple marina restaurant to a beach destination. I can no longer recommend it. The beach area now sports a tiki bar, snack shack, and lounging area, so people come just to hang out at the beach, causing noise, and crowds that take up parking and create lines for the restrooms (especially Ladies). You must make a reservation far in advance and they won't guarantee you get a table in the area you request. Prices have gone up as well.
This place has some amazing food our server was on top of everything even though she was pretty busy with a ton of tables, Crab Dip and Cream of Crab soup are the best in MD, being from Maryland this places food atmosphere and sunset view reminded me why I love the state I'm from
The place is located in a beautiful location. I enjoyed my crabs although they were not the best quality. The crabs were kind of meatless but very tastee.
We arrived early and checked in with the hostess about twenty minutes early before our reserved time thinking we could get a seat quickly as there were empty tables. We were told we had to wait which we did at the bar. The bartender a young lady was very rude I don't remember her saying thank you, may I take your order or anything pleasant. She was very abrupt.
After sitting at the bar and watching the hostesses talk and not actively even look for a table, I walked up to them five minutes after my reserved time only to finally have them seat my husband and I. That was very annoying!
Our waitress was excellent kept the crabs coming and keeping my husbands soda filled.
We ate outside and had hard crabs, they were delicious. We also had steamers which were delicious. Then proceeded to the Tiki bar and had a cocktail, fantastic view of the Chesapeake Bay. We had lunch during the week and got there at exactly 11:30 when they opened. Would highly recommend this place for anyone.
Went on there Website the Morning of our date, only to get there and have everything perfect the hostess had a grin from ear to ear knowing what I was Planning. Then after we had ordered and ate our appetizer I asked my now Finance' to go out to the beach they all watched through the glass when I proposed to her then after we were done they brought us out a Rum cake in a bowl with Congratulations written around the edge.
Plenty of seating early Sunday evening for dinner, but if you still make a reservation you get a table by the water. Cons: our waiter was very slow and rarely looked over at our table-I think his name was Michael (young, skinny guy). I had medium crabs and others in my party had a burger, salmon, fish-n-chips and scallops. Food was cooked perfectly and tasty. More beer selections are needed please!
