About Kenny's Wood Fired Grill
Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill is reminiscent of a 1940’s Chicago style chophouse with a classy, relaxed and warm atmosphere featuring the finest wood grilled seafood and meats. Our well rounded menu represents the traditional American classics with an emphasis on Kenny’s specialty, New England style seafood. And, while you are waiting for your table in the dining room you can enjoy the energetic “goose bar” sipping on a Grey Goose™ martini poured from our signature frozen tap system or a great glass of wine.

Kenny's Wood Fired Grill Ratings and Reviews
We chose Kenny's to have dinner with my husband's brother and wife who were in town from San Antonio. They had eaten at Pappas Bros Steakhouse the night before and were happy to see menu items that were less $ but just as delicious. Ex. lobster mac n cheese. Ordered fried calamari & lobster deviled eggs for appetizers. Entrees ordered were the lobster bisque, steak and crab cake with hollandaise sauce w asparagus, chicken and a bacon cheeseburger. Everything was really tasty, cooked and presented well. RSVP is required unless you are going in really early or really late in the evening.
Kenny’s Wood Fire Grill is very popular and difficult to get a spontaneous reservation so plan in advance. Only 1/3 of the restaurant is available for walk ins which result in long wait times. That said, it is just an OK dining experience. The wait staff both times has been excellent. The pork ribs were very average. The steaks are offered with a variety of toppings, cheeses, sauses, mushrooms etc to mask the average quality beef.
There are many other choices at a 10% higher price point that deliver a 90% better dining experience.
This was my first visit at Kenny's and I really enjoyed my time there! My grandmother and I made a reservation for dinner (6:45) and went about an hour ahead of time to sit at the bar - no such luck, it was packed! We ended up leaving then coming back for our dinner. I am gluten free, so the waiter brought me WARM gluten free bread before my meal (I've never had this happen before). I ordered the chicken with Brussel sprouts on the side - SO GOOD! To drink, I had the l'orange martini. I highly recommend everything above!
In the 3 years I've lived in Dallas, Kenny's has been my favorite restaurant for any occasion....romantic, friendly or business. The food to always top notch and the service is unbeatable! It becomes a favorite for everyone I've introduced!! Highly recommend!!
We have eaten at all of the Kenny’s restaurants. Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill falls short of the others in quality of meal overall. The French Onion Soup, the bread, and the drinks were very good. The New York Strip is where my meal fell woefully short. The cut of meat was very tough and lacked in flavor. Comparing to other grills and steakhouses similar in price, Kenny’s doesn’t stack up. If you’re going to make steaks your staple, then you need to hit a home run every time. The ambience will possibly warrant another chance.
I have been to Kenny’s Wood Fire Grill many times, and each time has always been amazing. This visit was no different, our server Josh was excellent. My husband and I were celebrating having just closed on our first house and a very sweet and creative lady in the back drew on our dessert plate a picture of a house and the words congratulations new home owners! Really put our experience over the top and we really appreciated it. Thanks for always going above and beyond!
Another great dining experience with yet another amiable, funny and knowledgeable waiter (Andrew). Not to mention although not the most extensive wine list, a great selection of California wines at exceptional prices. Thanks for another great expertise Kenny — it’s the whipped creamed and cherry of my marriage 😬.
Kenny's has been a favorite for years and this visit was again excellent. Kenny’s just has a special feel, energy that is so inviting. Food was excellent; service was perfect; relaxing dinner, never felt rushed. Frisco provides many upscale options but we chose to drive to Kenny's in Addison for special occasions, wife's birthday.
The food was amazing and service was great. I took my wife out for her birthday it exceeded my high expectations. I always like making ribs for my bday but now I am going to ask my wife to take me to kennys! The pork chop was the best I have ever had and my wife’s surf and turf was incredible. The lobster was cooked to perfection. Thank you again for the top notch experience.
This was our third visit. Our first visit was mid afternoon and was quite and fun (although I hate banquette seating. I feel like I have at accommodate the people next to me). I’d rate it a 4.
Second visit was Sunday brunch...the specials were not special and it was way too loud. I’d rate it a 2.
Our visit on the 26th was largely the same. Too noisy, too crowded and the food wasn’t all that great!
I want to like it. Lots of people do but I’m sad to say I won’t probably return. There’s just not enough reasons to “try again”.
We were brought to Kenny's Wood Fire Grill about 2 years ago by friends. That same year we decided to have our Christmas Eve Dinner with family there. This will now be our new Christmas Eve Tradition. We went this year with my family and the food was exceptional as always and our server Andrew was perfect. We can always count on an amazing meal and wonderful service. We live approximately 20 miles away but do not mind the drive because the experience is totally worth it!
It's been a few years since I've been to Kenny's but part of my turn off came back. "IF" you make a reservation they rush you from beginning to end to turn the table. My steak was cooler than room temperature (with a large pat of cold butter on top that was NOT melting) so I told the waiter. He explained you can't achieve medium rare and a hot steak...hhmm, that weird everyone else does and we do it at home. No offer to replace, only said if he got it hotter it would be overcooked. The sides were yummy and overall the waiter was very nice.
