Kenny's Wood Fired Grill Ratings and Reviews
I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance. The popover roll they served was AMAZING and probably the best bread I've had in quite a while so don't skip out on that. I ordered the ginger salmon and it was good but the sauce served with it was what made the dish! My friend ordered the U-10 bacon wrapped shrimp and enjoyed the shrimp but had to scrape nearly a pound of bacon off of them in order to even get to the shrimp. Too much bacon is not usually possible but in this case, it was absolutely true! Desserts were a total fail for us. After having such a rich meal, we hoped for something like a banana pudding or light option but there wasn't one. Overall, it was a good meal for the price but nothing exquisite
again, we enjoyed a very nice dinner at Kenny's. waitress was very friendly and knowledgable. My husband got the french onion soup which did not disappoint and we also had the lobster deviled eggs - no lobster mixed into the filling, just a nice morsel of meat on top. we liked the spicy kick the filling had. we both had steaks, my husband had the ribeye with a side of 2 ribs and I had their "steak and cake" which was the filet with a crab cake on top - both very good. wish we didnt order the special potato side they were offering and stuck with the adult mac and cheese....we will continue to return and have told our friends about Kenny's - we'll look to sit in our waitresses section again too.
Kenny's has the most wonderful martini's in the city. No one else pours into a new
frozen glass each time the ice melts. WONDERFUL!!!!! We love the chef's table and
are always trying new receipes. Best shrimp ever...... Mushroom Swiss burger cannot
be beat and those french fries...,.YUM!! I'm ready to go back again.
Service was outstanding. Our server was Jake. Attentive to our needs and not pushy at all. He knew both the drink and food menu very well and made some outstanding suggestions. Next time in Dallas will make a special trip. Lots of menu item I would like to try.
Thanks again for a great experience.
I'd heard good things about Kenny's so decided to take a client for lunch. How disappointing. The tables are so close together you are literally rubbing elbows with your neighbors, and the table next to us was so noisy we were unable to conduct our business. The food was so-so. The "popover" bread that is served is really a very poor rendition of Yorkshire pudding, and I had a salad that was so soaked in balsamic vinegar as to be almost inedible. My client had the meatloaf sandwich, which was virtually all bread with very little meatloaf. Won't be returning.
Overall great experience - would definitely go there again. 1st time I've ever seen a place refresh you martini glass with a freshly frozen glass halfway through your drink. Grilled lamb chops were excellent, wine list not extensive but good. Only knocks were waiting a while past our reservation time since we had a bigger group (10 people, but they warned us about that ahead of time), and it is fairly loud inside (though I've seen worse).
We found this gem for New Years Eve a couple of years ago and have been back several times since. WE LOVE IT! Before discovering Kenny's we would venture to The Palm or Del Frisco when we wanted a nice celebratory meal. Now, we go to Kenny's. We were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. Eric was our service and did an exceptional job of making sure everything was perfect for us while not being too obvious. The only negative we find is the noise level. It's an open ceiling concept, so there's no buffer for the noise. However, the food and service more than make up for the inconvenience. We will definitely return again!
First time there today...will not be our last. Everyone was pleasant and professional, from the hostesses to the bartenders to our waitress Lacey. Couldn't be happier with how our Easter brunch played out! Salads were delicious, tuna nachos were huge and fresh. My daughter had the crab cake appetizer and it literally was all lump crab, with little to no filler. We then had steaks, meatloaf and tuna for entrees, all were fresh and flavorful. Most entrees include a side dish such as asparagus, potato pancakes, or fries, which were also very good. My daughter had a brownie sundae for dessert, and the brownie was the size of her head. The rest of us shared bread pudding, which was creamy and not too sweet. We have been Kenny's Italian
The kitchen staff was very much off its game. We had a party of four, and two of the meals were materially overcooked. The excellent waiter took care of that promptly and the manager made sure things came out OK in the end but it was clear the kitchen wasn't at its finest that night. Still, every other visit has been great, so this is just an off night.
Absolutely wonderful! Kennys is our new favorite since having our 1st dining exoerience last night. We went based on the raves of their french onion soup, which did NOT disappoint. We started with the steak costinis and crabcake, both great choices as suggested by our knowledgable waiter. I had the lamb special which was prepared perfectly. Our son had the ribeye, again perfect and my husband had the steak sandwich which he loved but was too big to finish and we had to take home (only to make a great late night snack). We finished with the creme brule and bread pudding, both excellent. The sides were delicious, having the mac and cheese and potato cakes...next time we want to try the others since we wanted to order them all anyway.
Kenny's is our favorite spot for an upscale (but not too fancy) night out. The service is always spectacular and if you don't try starting your meal with the Brie Fondue you are missing out. Great selection of steaks and always willing to accommodate your tastes and modifications which is refreshing. Kenny has several other restaurants as well and I have yet to be disappointed with any I have tried! Oh and you can't forget they have Gray Goose on tap and keep your drink cold by switching out your martini glass, such a nice touch.
The food is always great here. This night the pop overs were a little hard. I raved about them because they are usually my favorite, but had to eat my words because they were not soft and moist. I brought a new friend to Kennys for the first time, and he thought I was physco because they were not good. Everything else was awesome!
I had the filet mignon there and my date had the sea bass. The food was delicious and just the right portion. The sides were delicious. We had the creamed spinach and the asparagus. All of it was made very well. At the end, we had the chocolate brownie to finish our meal off and that was to die for. We were celebrating that night and ordered some champagne. Since they knew we were celebrating, they gave us the champagne on the house! The only downside is that it was a little noisy and the tables were a little too close to each other.
Every Kenny's restaurant I have been to was absolutely wonderful, and the Wood Fired Grill is no exception. Excellent food and great service. Kenny's restaurants are some of my favorite and I would highly recommend them. The Wood Fired Grill is a little on the expensive side but it is definitely worth it! 5 stars!!
