Kenny's Wood Fired Grill Ratings and Reviews
I love coming to Kenny’s. Today wasn’t the best food experience. I got the crab cake Benedict and, unfortunately, the poached eggs were over cooked and didn’t break the way that they should and it was very over-salted. Good thing the service was awesome! Hopefully I will give Kenny’s another try for brunch and the food will be better.
Service at Kenny’s is always fantastic. The wait staff goes above and beyond what is “very good service” at other establishments. I had the ahi tuna salad which was good, and my husband had the fish special, swordfish with a mango salsa, and he can’t stop talking about it. As always, the popovers were fabulous. As were the ice cold martinis, which were poured into frozen glasses every 15-20 minuets, or so. Kenny’s is always one our “go to” restaurants!
The food, as always, was excellent. My wife and I had the filet and loved it. The bubbies potato cakes were also tasty as was the fabulous Kenny's house salad. The only knock I had was our server. She neglected to bring us the signature croissant bread and I had to remind her after we had received our entrees. It unnerved me that she brought the bread promptly to another table that was seated a half hour after us. That's the difference between 15 & 20%
I made reservations for Valentine's day in early January and that paid off well. We walked right in to our table with no wait. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the food and wine/drink menu.
I started with the coconut butterfly shrimp. It was great and each of the three sauces were delicious. They care about everything they make! For my main course I had the shrimp and scallops with grits and the Brussel sprouts as my side dish. Wow! I am asking how they make everything so good!? For dessert we shared the bead pudding and ice cream. Awesome presentation and it was equally delicious (as everything else)! I look forward to coming again and again!
A Valentine's Day early dinner at Kenny's Woodfire Grill was wonderful, as usual. Between the great service refreshing a martini glass once or twice, a complementary popover to begin the evening, an 8 ounce filet mignon done exactly as ordered every time, being able to split your side dish 50/50 (mac & cheese and asparagus for example), we can't wait to return and try a double pork chop or the filet again! Nice job!
Kenny's has become our "go to" when we are in Dallas. We live in OKC and try to do a weekend getaway 3-4 times per year. Since finding Kenny's several years ago, it is our Saturday evening routine. Service and food is ALWAYS top notch. Surf and turf IS NOT on the menu (make sure to ask your waiter about it), but is nothing short of incredible. Hands down, our favorite steak!
