Kenny's Smoke House Ratings and Reviews
We chose this location for our anniversary. My husband loved it all, and I thought it was very good. We were surrounded by other tables, so much so that we kept getting people running into us and there were screaming babies nearby. Overall it wasn't a romantic dinner, but the food was good.
This was my third time at Kenny's but my first time being a little disappointed with it. We had a reservation and we're sat promptly. It took a while for our waiter to come over and it wasn't that busy (Sunday around 5:30). When we ordered drinks it took over 10 minutes for two margaritas, a beer, and a coke. We got our appetizer before the drinks which is ridiculous. The food never disappoints, however they were out of brussel sprouts which is a menu favorite in my family. I got the collards instead and they were just ok. We'll definitely be back and hope that the service is better next time.
I love all of the Kenny's restaurants. This one is outstanding. I usually get the grilled salmon, and my only complaint is that there are sometimes no green veggies available. Yesterday, they were out of Brussels sprouts and didn't have a back-up. Still a great place though for sure. My friends ordered from the brunch menu and were really pleased.
Another great evening at Kenny's Smokehouse! I brought my friend Samantha with me and she'd never been before. She LOVED the prime rib, as I knew she would because it's so fantastic! She will definitely be coming back and I already know I'll be coming back again (very soon!) because my fiance was very jealous I went to Kenny's without him!
Thoroughly enjoyed an early dinner at Kenny's. We arrived about 430 on a Saturday and it was perfect timing for a quiet easy dining choice. Note - by the time we left at 530 the restaurant was almost full! We started with the cornbread which is a favorite! Dining choices included the lean brisket dinner with BBQ beans. This was delicious! The brisket was perfectly cooked and to my liking which is lean. The BBQ beans are a bit spicy which I loved. BBQ fries were crispy and wonderful with the seasonings. The fried shrimp are large and meaty and the coating is crispy, well seasoned and delicious. Chicken tenders were juicy and perfectly coated and fried without being greasy and were a great choice. Honey mustard dipping sauce was fantastic! We ended with a croissant bread pudding with Henry's vanilla bean ice cream. Wow! Such an indulgence, but the combo of sweet and bourbon are fantastic and this was one of the best bread pudding/ ice cream combos we've ever tasted. Lauren was our server and she was fantastic! Drinks were refilled without asking and she was attentive without being invasive. Great service!!! I had an "average" experience here a few weeks ago. This visit definitely redeemed me as a Kenny's Smokehouse fan and I will be back and can easily recommend Kenny's Smokehouse for a great dining experience!!!
I was attracted to the Grey Goose on tap (yup). But had the beef ribs, collards, mac n cheese, corn bread, and beer as my last meal during a visit to Dallas instead. I wanted BBQ and got the perfect meal. The spices of each dish perfectly complimented those of the others. Everything tasted spicy and delicious.
Inconsistent. We dine here often & it's seldom as expected. This time service was inattentive - Server was too preoccupied watching TV monitors to attend to guests. Chopped brisket, usually perfect, was fatty and dry... now that's an accomplishment. Fried onions were terrific and uniquely seasoned. Large, loud parties are commonplace and should be expected.
