Food is incredible. Best bbq anywhere. Noise (music) is too loud but was turned down.
Kenny’s never lets me down! Delicious! Service was amazing and the food was just incredible. We’ll be back again!
Great steak place with great service. Their attention to detail and their customers is one of the best I've experienced, with the manager going around table-to-table to make sure everything is good and the owner on site. The wait staff was also very helpful in working through the menu options and selling desert (a bonus)?
Kenny's Smoke house never disappoints! We went for a late Valentines day dinner and the food was amazing. I always love their smoked prime rib! Delish!
Excellent alternative to BBQ on a picnic table and butcher paper. This place is a bit more upscale with fine linen napkins and table cloth to enjoy the authentic pit smoked BBQ famous in Texas. Kenny's sauce is a tangy complement to the perfectly smoked brisket and ribs.
Nice place - good atmosphere. We were early for our reservations and were able to be seated right away. We ordered the sampler platter with brisket, pork spare ribs, pulled pork. Everything was delicious. The brisket was tender and flavorful and our favorite of all the meats. Not the best barbecue I’ve ever had, but still good!
This is a quaint resturant with a nice modern twist. It has a bar area but is a nice and small resturant. I celebrated my birthday here and I ordered the smokehouse sampler plate which was chopped beef, ribs, brisket, links and my side dish was the gouda mac and cheese. It was an awesome meal! Meat was tender and smoked to perfection. Nice resturant and I totally recommend.
Great visit, great food!!
I realize there are listed about 100 options for describing Mr. Bowers Smoke House, but we are retired folks and we just simply go there because the food is incredible. If you are looking for some of the best barbeque in town, great appetizers, salads - this is the place to go. Also, Kenny's East Coast Pizza is our Wednesday go to.
Rainy night so light crowd. Service was attentive but respectful. Great brisket salad and pulled pork. Spring for the smoked Gouda Mac.
Shane is the best server in Dallas!
The food was great as usual and the waiter was very good, but we had a 7:00 reservation for two on Open Table and we were there on time, but had to wait 35 minutes and finally got our table at 7:35. We could have just walked in and got our name on the list if we wanted to wait. We had already had a couple of happy hour drinks at another restaurant very close by and was ready to eat. If we knew we had another 35 minutes to wait at Kenny’s, then we would have just remained at the other restaurant and ate at the bar. That’s why we got reservations. When this happens it defeats the value of Open Table.
My boyfriend and I are here with the mutual love of bbq. We started with the jalapeño cheddar sausage which was delicious. We each ordered a cocktail that took a little too long to receive seeing as how the resturant was not busy at the time (late dinner), however I know how it goes with cleaning and ending the night. Sadly they were out of the turkey breast so I ordered the half chicken because I always have a back up! My side was the Mac n cheese which was to die for, might have been the truffle oil or the ham pieces throughout... not sure. My boyfriend ordered spare ribs and brisket with their featured side of cream corn. Ribs were delicious, brisket... eh.. seemed to be sporadically fatty and/or burnt with each bite. Corn was niceley seasoned however the corners themselves seemed lacking, must have been the end of the pot which again late night expectancies. The value of his dish seemed overpriced to me (about $22) my half bbq chicken and side seemed more reasonable (about $15). I will say the portions are generous but consistency is lacking (e.g pace of service, food taste). Overall great choice for bbq but Don’t splurge ;)
This was the second time we have been to Kenny's Smoke house, but it won't be the last.
Outstanding service, and great food.
We are regulars here. Today our waiter informed us we are VIP's because we review the restaurant on Open Table. Who know?
Always love Kenny’s! Because I’m on my ‘healthy eating plan’, I had to be pretty selective so I tried the salmon salad and it was so good! I’m very fond of the pulled pork but I would definitely order the salmon salad again.
We have one more Kenny's to try. Based on the experiences with the others, we were super excited to find yet another way to enjoy Kenny's! We made a last minute decision to have an early dinner and decided to give the Smokehouse a try ... I mean what's the risk? It's Kenny's. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out we were once again enjoying Kenny's food and hospitality! I was torn between Beef ribs and pulled pork. Logan, our server, suggested that I have a little of each! I told him I wasn't a big eater ... so he offered the lunch menu which was just the perfect amount. The ribs were incredible. The pulled pork was sooooo tender. My husband had brisket and is anxious to get back to Kenny's for more. And he didn't stop eating the mac and cheese until it was gone! If you haven't been to a Kenny's you need to go. Just pick one ... any one ... you will really have a great experience.
Great BBQ food! And I LOVE that this is full service, unlike many of the "go thru the line" places.
Everything was perfect. Jennifer was awesome, as always!
The food was outstanding. A must order item is the jalapeño cornbread - it is the best you will experience. The only thing that prevented a higher rating was the interior lighting. It was way too dim. We could barely see our food.
This is one of my husband's favorite resturants. Our birthday is on the same day. I surprised him with a limo ride to Kenny's Smoke House. We were joined by another couple who was celebrating their 50th year anniversary. They will definitely be back!
As always - FANTASTIC. Great service, great food, great customer service.
This is one of our favorite, recurring places for barbecue, and the first time that our food was not perfect.
Brisket was dry, beef ribs were overcooked, with almost no meat, a cardinal sin in Texas, and the law allows you to slap the chef in such cases. The "Foo Tini" cocktail was a horrible miss -
expensive and insipid. On the other hand, smoked salmon was impeccable, sausage, pulled pork, and pork ribs were tender, tasty, almost perfect, and, OH, that jalapeño corn bread is to die for. Very, very, very nice selection of draft beers. Our waitress was one of the most professional we have ever known, always provides for a delightful experience, she should train others.
Sincerely hope that manages puts a little extra care in the kitchen, we are sure that our next visit will be much, much better. Will DEFINITELY go back, thoroughly recommend.
We had someone in the group who was Vegan and wanted a Cesar salad, however Cesar is not an option on their menu. The manager went to a local establishment and purchased a salad from them and brought it back for the person in our party. The fact that they went out of their way was a big deal and they do this often it appears according to our waiter. Any establishment that goes out of their way for their patrons should be visited often.
EXCELLENT!! We went for brunch on Sunday to have a "do-over" of our anniversary, and it was amazing! Our server, Vaden was incredible and attentive. He made recommendations and listened to what we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious, and Vaden even surprised us with a dessert with candles! We were very touched and appreciated the incredible service. We will definitely be back!
Best BBQ in DFW. Don’t read those biased DMN reviews, this is it! Best food best service!
Always good service and good food.
Fabulous as always! A "must" when I'm in town! The mac and cheese... can't get enough! Love the brisket... and the, well I'm not sure you can go wrong!
Wasn’t a fan of the fries, or the Mac and cheese. Very disappointed used to be much better.
Food was good, service was okay. A bit pricey for the whole experience. It is a barbecue joint trying to be a fancy restaurant and it's stuck between the two concepts.
Deliciously sonsitent and fantastic service!
Our server was Jennifer. She did an outstanding job of making us feel welcome and offered timely suggestions to improve our overall experience. Both of us enjoyed our meal and lingered without those “hurry up” looks from anyone.
We chose this location for our anniversary. My husband loved it all, and I thought it was very good. We were surrounded by other tables, so much so that we kept getting people running into us and there were screaming babies nearby. Overall it wasn't a romantic dinner, but the food was good.
Great food but a little too loud to have a conversation. Service was standard, but not exceptional.
Kenny’s is a great place to have a business meeting.
Always excellent. Best brussel sprouts in town. Consisitently great.
Dinner with relatives from east coast. They were impressed
Good barbecue in a slightly upscale restaurant. Service was somewhat inattentive. Most likely would not go back. There are better Q places much more reasonable.
Service here is usually great, but this experience was an outlier. Our waiter was completely inattentive. We saw him once after our food order, he didn't even ask if we wanted another round of drinks.
Great time as always.
