Kenny's Smoke House Ratings and Reviews
The food, service and attention to detail is outstanding at Kenny's. I'm a native Texan and the Brisket is first rate!
The attention to detail though is indicated that Kenny's serves the corn bread with a handle heavy knife that makes the slicing very easy. That's important since the corn bread is soft textured.
You won't go wrong taking out of town people or having a date night at Kenny's!
We have been here a few times and really like it. There is always a crowd and a wait, so I am glad we were able to secure a last minute reservation on a Saturday night.
Portion size is good- but not overwhelming. Smoked turkey salad is excellent if you want something on the lighter or not typical bbq dishes.
Staff was good and most of the time attentive.
(If I could be picky on one thing? Maybe suggest to the front door staff not to be chewing gum the whole time they are standing at the front / greeting people / talking people to their tables / etc. It is very unprofessional. )
A nice overall experience.
My girlfriend and I had dinner there on a Saturday. We both got the brisket. I got the spinach she got the Mac and Cheese. The brisket was very good, but not great. In fairness, the label "great" only goes to the likes of Franklin's and, to a lesser extent, Pecan Lodge. But it was quite good and I enjoyed it.
The mac and cheese was remarkably good as were the brisket nachos. I had beer and my girlfriend had a house cocktail, which she enjoyed.
The service was good, friendly, and hospitable. I did notice a wince in the waitress's eyes where I almost didn't order my second beer, but that made me laugh more than anything.
Kenny's made for a fine dining experience if you like more upscale BBQ. The location around the shops at Legacy make it ideal as the first stop for a night out. Do recommend.
We were very pleased with our first visit to Kennys Smoke House. The food was very good, options varied enough to fit everyone's taste and portions generous. Brisket stuffed jalapeños were unusually good, as was the sampler plate. As if we hadn't had enough to eat....we tried desserts too. Do not pass up the peanut butter chocolate pie. OMG
Local hotspot with good drinks and food options. The onion rings are some of the best ever. Light batter and great seasoning. Sunday $1 brisket tacos are delicious. Marbled brisket is very good, although a bit pricey. We partake at all 4 Kennys restaurants and enjoy 'em all.
My parents where in town from Houston, and we knew exactly where we wanted to take them for dinner...to Kenny's Smokehouse of course!! They were unsure about having BBQ for dinner...they have q ton of good BBq in Houston. If you could see the look on my dads face as he took the first bite of brisket...he was in BbQ heaven!!! He is still talking about it days later!! Thank you to everyone at Kenny's for always making is an amazing choice
We always love to go to Kenny's , especially for birthdays. The food and service has always been great. We always recommend it to friends. I just have to say this time it was disappointing, because they were out of the beef ribs at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Our waitress was lovely and very apologetic. My son and my husband chose this restaurant for the beef ribs in particular. The manager did come over to apologize... My husband and I chose the brisket and my son had a burger. It was all very good, we just happened to be there on a bad night I suppose. Upon leaving, the manager gave my son a 15$ gift card since it was his birthday, which was nice. I guess whoever does the ordering should make sure to order plenty of beef ribs for the weekends!
Not as good as 3 stacks in Frisco. I tried the sampler. The ribs weren't that great, the pulled pork was a little fatty, the sausage didn't seem cooked all the way, the brisket was pretty darn good though. Cornbread was really good. Probably will not be back, as there are better options in the same price range.
