Kenny's Italian Kitchen
Kenny’s Italian Kitchen is decorated with red checkered cloth table cloths, dark woods and the walls are adorned with black and white photos of friends, family and regular guests. A cozy patio and full service bar accompany the warm, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. You will swear you just dined at a neighborhood Italian joint in the Northeast.
The food is always good, but what made our visit great was our server Josh! Exceptional service!!
My friends wanted to know where I wanted to go for my birthday and all I could think about was Kenny’s Italian! The weather has been so cold and dreary and dinner was a like a warm blanket wrapped around me. Between the wonderful friends and the food I wish I could make, it was an awesome dinner. I had the chicken parm, my friends had the Osso buco special, and the other two had shrimp scampi and fettuccine Alfredo. No to go bags were needed. Makes me almost excited to celebrate another birthday!
First of all, the staff is very professional and knowledgeable. I loved the Italian dishes ordered and definitely recommend to family and friends.
I like the quaintness and it’s pretty quiet compared to many other places. People are always kind and helpful. Reservations work great.
Fabulous meal. Great waiters and the food is some of the best I’ve ever had
Went to celebrate my boyfriend's and my birthday. Restaurant was a little noisy because something was wrong with the sound system. Food was alright. I had the filet mignon but I thought it would be grilled rather than pan seared. Flavor was good. My server kept disappearing, I would've loved dessert and another drink but he took too long to come back and we had to leave by then. He needs to interact more with his guests.
Great server! Super personable and had great suggestions. One was that we could do 2 half portion entrees which is great when you don't know what to choose! Prices are super reasonable. I would definitely go there again.
Outstanding as usual!!! We love this restaurant. We celebrate all of our life milestones here. We love to bring our friends and family to share the great experience.
We had dinner here with a group to celebrate my son's 15th birthday. The food was fantastic (as always), but the service was not up to snuff. The server did not give us the level of attention that we are used to at this restaurant, and my son's birthday was not acknowledged. At the end of the meal, we had items packed up to go, and the server accidentally discarded one of the items (my husband's osso bucco!). We will be back, but hope to have better service the next time around.
One of our go-to places for special occasions. Food is wonderful, service is always fantastic and friendly. Atmosphere is lively but not overpowering.
Kennys is our absolute favorite Italian restaurant. Our server Manny was awesome, we couldn’t ask for better service. He even gave us an option of different types of pasta even though our entree came with spaghetti. The food was phenomenal, the stuffed mushrooms and chicken parmigiana are my favorite. I’ve been there many times with friends and family, but this week the ambiance was perfect for our Valentine’s date! The managers are so accommodating and friendly, count on us to be back for many more special occasions.
Disappointed in Caesar Salad. Did not meet standards of total meal expierence
Kenny's Italian Kitchen never disappoints! The wait staff is always very friendly and really seem to know about the different foods. Whenever we eat there, I'm tempted to lick the plate! I also appreciate that they have gluten free pasta options, as I have a gluten intolerance. Can't wait to go back there again!
We went to Kenny’s for a bday dinner. The food was amazing!
The food was amazing and even though the place was packed we had great service and were waited on quickly
I really wanted to like Kenny’s Italian kitchen!! Went there on Valentine’s Day and it was just average. I think my expectations were to high because I usually go to Kenny’s wood fired grill down the road (which is absolutely amazing) and figured this would be as good or a close second due to same ownership. Cocktails were very good, garlic cheesy bread was excellent (although I wouldn’t have ordered bread as an appetizer if the waiter had told us we get complimentary bread), my husbands meal (half chicken picatta and half lasagna) was luke warm and he felt as though the quality wasn’t there either. My meal, the seafood fra diavlo, was pretty good. We got tiramisu for dessert and it wasn’t anything special. Our service was mediocre, we weren’t given any recommendations and it just wasn’t up to par with service we’ve received countless times down the road. I think we will stick to Kenny’s wood fired grill when dining in Addison.
Amazing as always
Valentine’s Day. We always have a great experience at Kenny’s. Our drinks, however, had to be sent back, as the bartender did not make either of them properly. Kenny, please hire a bartender that has the ability to make basic drinks the right way.
Very romantic perfect first Valentine’s meal with my ma! Loved my mushroom ravioli & chicken scaloppini. I like you can get two 1/2 entrees if one one entree plate & price when you can’t choose between several of their menu choices!
Valentines Day dinner
Me and my husband and kids decided to do early dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was not very busy. We ordered the calamari it was tough but the marinara for dipping was delicious. We both ordered lasagna as we both wanted more of that sauce lol, the lasagna was perfect. The Cesar salad was overdressed but the bread was delicious. Overall I give it 4 stars. The service was excellent
Kenny’s is always great! My favorite Italian restaurant and the best Pear Martini!!
Israel our waiter was awesome. Overall great experience for Valentines Day!!! Definitely will be back!
Although we were ushered to our table quickly, it took a while for the attendant to come to our table to take our order.
Everybody at our table ordered their regular favorite dish, I ventured to try something different and I regretted afterwards.
It was my wife's birthday as indicated in the reservation ad what we found as a birthday cake was a glob of canoli filling with a candle in the middle. It was a little tacky for the occasion.
recommendation- give them a slice of the Tiramisu and charge them for the same. I don't think they will mine- we wouldn't.
We absolutely love Jay our server.
He’s personal and professional. A real pro.
The service was wonderful. The food was delicious and the Monday Martinis for $5 was a nice surprise. We took some guests from the Washington DC area there and they loved it. Great bread too!
The waitress put my dish in with my husbands in the same to-go container. We ate them the next night and got sick by morning. I'm 36 hours in and wishing I'd never heard of this place.
Love Kenny’s Italian. Always a great dining experience
We have loved Kenny's Italian for a long time! One of our favorites, always a winner.
We had to wait a little for our reservation and the table was only set for two when we reserved a three top, however the manager was way too nice and comped an appetizer and our wine. Service was great and certainly up to the standards enjoyed in the past at the Wood Fired Grill.
Going again with friends tonight
Great evening with wonderful food and service!
It was great
A little pricey but great quality and service
Good service, lively atmosphere, food was great, would recommend their shrimp scampi to any one. We plan to go back soon.
We enjoy having dinner with friends at Kenny's. They treat us well and the food is very good. It's a bit crowded and noisy, but it is a good atmosphere for an enjoyable dinner and conversation.
I made an OpenTable reservation a week in advance for 6:30 on a Saturday night to make sure our drive from Frisco wouldn't be in vain, as I understood there is typically a long wait on weekends. When our family of 4 arrived a few minutes before 6:30, the dining room was completely full and we were told by the hostess (in a sharp and unapologetic tone) that we would have to wait until a table "pays out". Over 20 minutes later, and still no open table I approached the manager and asked him if it was Kenny's policy not to hold tables open for reservations. [Note: since then I have read other OpenTable reviews and came across several other complaints of having to wait in excess of 20-30 minutes with reservations...so yes, it apparently is] The manager, Taylor was polite enough and explained they'd been slammed by a wedding party, and would make it up to us. The hostess asked if we would mind a certain table on the covered patio (which from her description, I could tell it was one of those "last resort" tables). We were shown a table on the end next to the waiters drink station which was probably the least desirable table in the restaurant, but at that point we weren't being picky so we took it. Our waiter (Ryan) took our order and the manager dropped by to offer an appetizer and round of drinks, which we appreciated. After bringing our drinks and appetizer, Ryan disappeared for the remainder of our meal while our appetizer plates remain un-bused (which we had to stack up ourselves to make room for our entrees when other staff brought them out) and wine glasses sat empty until we were finished with our meal. Finally Ryan showed up and asked if we needed anything - STILL not offering drink refills. I asked for another glass of wine. After 10 minutes he brought it, asked if we needed anything else and then sarcastically asked my wife and two girls "Are you happy?...are you happy?...are you happy?" No, we weren't. Too many other good options to ever return.
Kenny’s is a great place with great food. I had An amazing date there with a wonderful woman! The staff was friendly & helpful & the food was great!
As always - wonderful experience. Food & Drinks were delicious.
