Love love love Kenichis!
Always fresh and tasty
Great food, ordered both off menu and evening specials. Good drinks. Excellent service from Pahoi (sp.)
Prices are a bit steep but not unusual for good food on the Island so within local range. Second time we have eaten here and we will go back again
We opted to order many different dishes from the appetizers and small plates. we were not disappointed. Everything was well seasoned and tasty.
We have eaten sushi all over the world and Kenichi was on par with others. I wish we had been able to attend the happy hour as it was nearly half price. Try this place.
Kenichi's is our favorite restaurant in Kona. The service is always wonderful. The staff is very knowledgeable of menu items and their preparation. The food is amazing. We always try something new and we have never been disappointed. Kenichi's is always our first choice when dining with friends or recommending a place to visitors.
Chose to return here to celebrate three birthdays (2 girls turning 11) after a great meal earlier in the week. Food did not disappoint, truly great food and drink selection. Unfortunately, the servers ruined the meal. Quick to add 18% ($56) "TIP" to party of 4 adults and 3 children but somehow, despite notes on Open Table reservation AND a DIRECT request to the servers upon arrival, they never brought birthday dessert/candles to two VERY DISAPPOINTED young girls. Did not seem to show the slightest remorse or concern. Real shame to ruin a couple of young girls' birthday dinner because of laziness due to an automatic gratuity. That's why it's called a TIP, it's for good service not just for showing up.
The food here is really tasty and the service is great. We've been here a few times on different visits to the island, and it's been a very consistent experience. I'd say it's quite reasonably priced for the quality.
A bit loud, otherwise loved it!
Good. Would have liked a wider range of specialty rolls. Should have featured Hawaiian influence about more. Throw in some pineapple in to the recipes. Mango in the rolls. Etc.
Would have been great except for the surly waitress!!
Great creative fresh sushi. Mac nut crusted lamb chops are incredible. Expensive but worth it.
Delicious Bananas Foster after a tasty meal.
The food is good but used to be better. Very poor beer selection for a bar. The Mai Tai was small and not very good. Service was just OK. No server when we wanted to order more drinks. The server did not check on us after the first round of drinks. We ordered drinks when dinner came. We were then almost through with dinner when the drinks came. It is quiet if sitting outside. We were basically happy with the food.
Simply delish and our server, Heather was excellent.
We thought the vegetable tempura was mediocre and expensive. The sushi rolls were small and tasteless.
Service was very slow waited 15-20 mins before anyone came to the table to give us water. Food is good here but the service was extremely slow. I would not come back to this place.
We had a delightful family dinner at Kenichi Pacific! All of our adult kids and son-in-law love sushi and they do sushi really really well! Kids were in hog heaven! Little of this, little of that, sharing back & forth, ooooing and aaaahhhhing! My wife, who is not a fan of sushi, had the duck confit and loved it! I did appetizers, the dynamite shrimp (simply Wowsville! Best shrimp I've ever had) and the pork & shrimp dim sum (which were also awesome & reminded me of the dumplings in Hong Kong).
Besides the outstanding food, the service was exceptional! Our server was Mele & she was vivacious, helpful, entertaining, and timely!
Everybody kept saying, "Why haven't we ever been here before?" We'll definitely be back!
We've been to this outstanding restaurant at least a dozen times. Doesn't that say it all?
The sushi rolls are creative and delicious, with a special one each night. Try the kakiyagi roll.
The ono main dish is amazing.
Really good food, kind of funny service.
Lobster sushi roll was a wonderful appetizer. Lamb was tender and flavorful. Mac crust on lamb was a delight!
Valentine’s Day. Keniche was excellent, as it always is!
It was nice
Music would have also been but there was none.
This was my second time there and I loved it just as much as the first time. Comforting atmosphere! Staff are friendly!!
Always a great experience!
Pleasant find in the Keauhou Shopping Center. The waiter was great, very informative. The Sashimi and entrees were both flavorful and a delight to look at.
Excellent in every way!
Our group ordered a variety of dishes to share including the black cod, dynamite shrimp, ribs, pork belly buns. The ribs and cod were especially tasty. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. We also had the avocado macadamia salad, some sushi and the duck confit. The duck confit was seasoned with 5 spice powder and was a winner. We had the fried ice cream for desert. I would skip that. Overall great dinner. Would go back.
Ok, so-so--other fusion words. Nothing too splendific in about Japanese spaghetti. So-so rolls--but I repeat myself.
We had a mix of favorites and chef's special dishes. The miso black cod, dynamite shrimp and avo-mac salad are old favorites that were as tasty as ever. The two specials, grilled fish and barely cooked ono were spectacularly flavored and a wonderful contrast. We have never had a disappointing meal here!
We had such a lovely anniversary dinner. We have been to Kenichi many times even for our anniversary but this was the bst ever. The service was lovely and the food was so delicious.
Our server Cori made our evening extra special - and our meals were spectacular as always - service was a bit slow however that gave us a chance to enjoy our last night in Kona
We drove for an hour and it was worth it. Great food and great service from Heather.
We went here on vacation and enjoyed it very much.
Awesome, beautiful and the best! Thank you:)
We love Kenichi! They have a great happy hour. Regular prices are good for the location and quality of the food.
Another amazing experience - our server Bebelyn made our New Year’s Eve dinner spectacular- thanks again Kenichi
We spent the New Year dining at Kenichi Pacific. We have been to the restaurant in the past and it is one of the hidden gems that most are unfamiliar with. Don't let the location (strip mall) fool you. If you like sushi, Pacific-themed food, or just a nice experience, I certainly recommend it.
Decent sushi not the best I’ve ever had. It’s good for a quick casual bite.
A Merry Christmas to me dinner - as always sensational - I enjoyed the Ono Tataki, my server Ali’s personal favorite - highly recommended local favorite
