The presentation and the flavors are equally superb. Of course, only the freshest fish and seafood are used, so the sushi is impeccable. The molten flourless chocolate cake is achieving legendary status, so save room for a delicious finish!

It was a wonderful dinner once again! Kenichi never disappoints. Brilliant food, wonderful service and amazing food. Would highly recommend.
Always good food, and always good service. The menu is extensive, so take your time ordering. We try to order something different everytime.
Really enjoyed this “shopping center” Japanese restaurant. We ate here twice in the week we were in this part of the Big Island. The special roll was different and delicious. Both sashimi and sushi combinations were fresh and tasty. It appears that whatever one orders, it will be prepared authentically.
While outside is more precautious for the coronavirus, inside definitely would have more ambiance.
Very poor service, burnt edamame? Entree before starter. Good salad and hamachi. Main fish dry, cold and nothing else on plate. Scallops not good. Rolls passable.
We had a wonderful meal! My albacore dish was full of delicious flavors, and our server was delightful.
Amazing food, great server. Very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations. Overall wonderful dining experience that didn’t break the bank!
Miranda was awesome! Food was delish and we thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you and God bless
The best duck I have had in quite some time. Would definitely go back if I visit the island again
Our special occasion was noted by the chef! thanks
The food was wonderful. I have a life threatening allergy they were careful of which was awesome!
At the beginning, service was subpar. Over 20 mins to get 2 cups of water.
They could tell we were not pleased.
Service was picked up, apologetic after making us wait.
Most of the food was salty. Dessert was good though
Another annual Kenichi experience - from conversations with manager Bebelyn , and having the pleasure of being served by our favorite and best server Maverick, we enjoyed the chef’s special kampachi entree, great wine and the to die for molten Lava Cake we throughly enjoyed our new years Eve experience
We love Kenichi’s. They have made a few cut backs that lessen the dinning experience. The Ono Tataki has been replaced with Ahi Tataki. I’d recommend going back to Ono. There is really no comparison. Also, the very delightful Dim Sum that use to be presented in bamboo steam bowls has been replaced with Up Side Down Dim Sum. I’ve tried the current item, and had trouble finishing the dish. It’s too heavy and lacks flavor. Initially, they removed the “fire cracker shrimp”, a signature dish, but it is back on the menu. It’s excellent. For New Year’s Eve, I had the Black Cod and Fire Cracker Shrimp. Both were amazing. My wife had the trio and miso soup. She said they were amazing. I ordered an excellent Chandon Sparkling split that was very nice. My wife ordered sparkling water with a twist of lime. The sparkling water tasted moldy. The fountain hoses probably need to be cleaned. Overall an excellent evening and food. We dine at Kenichi’s often and will definitely return. We’re just hoping they bring back the Ono Tataki and the steamed Dim Sum with the pork and shrimp. The service was excellent. Mahalo!
Went to celebrate New Year’s Eve dinner. Overall good experience.
We enjoyed the sushi. It was very fresh and tasty !
Hostesses were a little rude but server was very nice. Sushi was mediocre but the desserts were excellent.
Slow service but good food
Asian Fusion is nothing new these days but Kenichi's spin is a delight. The flavor of the sauces is where this restaurant shines.
Great customer service. Delicious sushi.
I keep coming back every time I visit Kona.
I have food allergies but the staff and kitchen are 100% on it. I feel safe to eat here.
Number one for the best service and food.
Sent my steak back too over cooked no worries - I hate doing that but Lindsey immediately corrected it and gave her most genuine apologizes and a delicious steak, Love this place will never stop going back.
We tried different dishes witch non of them was good as we expected! It was just uneventful… my cocktail was also very watery.. did not test good either!
Good quality food, dessert, and even had fresh wasabi! Our server, Marisa was excellent! And this was during the busiest time of year, after Christmas.
Food was delicious!!! Service was great! Food took forever to come out and when it did the mash potatoes in which the food was served was cold. Service was really good everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back.
We had a reservation for a large group; service was game and friendly, but a bit overwhelmed: our waitress was trying hard and did a good job with us given the circumstances. The starters (yellowtail sashimi and serrano, Kenichi Manapua, kara’age chicken, poke salad) were all excellent. Ribeye was delicious. Sushi rolls lacked a little balance (a little too much serrano pepper, for example) for several of us at the table. As a result of short staffing, people’s dishes arrived from the kitchen at different times, and one special sushi roll never arrived.
We wanted to make sure we had a nice place to enjoy a Christmas Eve dinner. Thus we wanted a reservation. Not the easiest thing to get in holiday Kona. We found Kenichi Pacific on line and obtained a 5:30 reservation. It was a bit of a cab ride from our condo but more than well worth it. The best food we’ve had thus far on our Christmas trip to paradise. It is a Japanese Fusion restaurant. Outstanding. I had the seafood trio (jumbo shrimp, scallops, and calamari) cooked to perfection. My wife hit the jackpot—Blue fin Tuna. Avail only twice a year and we hit one of them. The best sushi/sashimi EVER. It was so good we ordered another to take with us. It was just as good the next day. Kenichi Pacific should be a must on your next trip to lovely Kona.
Miso black cod amazing. Little pricey for quality of food and location. Told no substitutions allowed before we even told them what we wanted.
Great service food was very good!
Our server was especially hospitable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Everything was exquisite, but the standout was the appetizer special, a salmon "collar." Desserts left us reeling (the good kind of reeling).
Food was delicious and nicely presented. Our server was friendly and helpful. Food and drink was delivered in a timely manner.
Service was fantastic!! We started with a sampling of sushi shows California rolls and some shrimp on floor rolls. Both were wonderful but the California rolls were so good we got another serving of those. For dinner we had the ribeye which was one of the most flavorful steaks I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection, presented beautifully, and bursting with flavor.
What a fantastic evening!
Jasmine was wonderful - the hostess -
My partner and I's most favorite place for all occasions
Great sushi, salads and seafood plate. Tempura was heavy.
Again one of the best meals I have had to date. This is the place you go for consistency. They are incredible every time! So blessed to live in Kona and come here often. Sushi chef special always a hit and the special sashimi appetizer a staple. Love the molten lava cake too. You can’t go wrong eating here.
Food and service are wonderful!
Enjoyed everything we ordered, all served quickly and well presented.
Great food, great service.
