Ken Stewart's Lodge Ratings and Reviews
I had Filet Medallions and Scallops special. Beef was a little dry and pasty. Scallops were really good. Our server was really good. Something on the other side of the wall kept thudding against the wall. Stopped after we told someone. Lots of options around NEO and this just seems a little too high priced now.
This was a BAD experience and changed my opinion as you being one of my favorite restaurants. We had 6:30 reservations and did not get out food until 7:50. We did not order appetizers either. It took over twenty minutes to have our order taken and in the middle of the order the waitress left and did not come back for another 10 mins to complete it. We are new to the area and have dine there in the past and we had good experiences. It was our one daughter's last night before going back to college and I wanted a special dinner for her. Our other daughter had an out of town guest coming and wanted to check out your restaurant. After our negative experience, she said the service was so bad so would definitely NOT go there. That was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.
Went on New Years Eve so it was probably not your typical evening. Their menu had advertised table side Caesar salad but they were not doing it because of New Years.
Food was overall very good but everything was very expensive. My wife and I one bottle of $ 40 wine , salads , entree and split a dessert and ended up with $250 bill.
Not sure it was worth that much.
Ken Stewart’s Lodge Lodge is one of our favorites. The food is always incredible and the place is lovely. Only complaint we had with this visit was that one waitress knocked into 3 of the 5 of us and into my seat several times. She never stopped to apologize and seemed unaware and we assumed it was happening because of the location of our table near the kitchen and the number of tables in the room. We expect a near perfect experience at KSL and this was the only reason we rated it less than perfect this time.
Horrible dinner!! Wedge salads were just lettuce and hardly any toppings! Presentation was awful. Filet was grainy and pomme frittes were not even a potato it was like those potato sticks in a can! Very expensive with awful food. We will not return it is a beautiful place that is not worth dining at
Excellent food. Service was below average. Wait time was way way too long. Very disappointed as we provided special occasion details and no acknowledgement was made. Friends made a referral for my wife’s birthday and given the price point which leads one to believe it will be nothing short of wonderful it was sadly disappointing as an evening.
Fabulous restaurant, the very best quality food, excellently prepared & presented; very knowledgeable staff that are truly friendly and professional. The dining area is cozy and inviting. We absolutely love everything about The Lodge. This is the best restaurant in Akron. If you enjoy great food and fine dining, Ken Stewart's Lodge is a MUST.
I just moved back to the Cleveland area in November and Ken Stewart’s Lodge was at the top of my list of places to dine. Despite being packed with larger tables, many being Holiday Celebrations, our server Autumn rocked. The atmosphere is second to none. The food always wonderful and prepared exactly as asked. Their daily list of off-menu appetizers and dinner specials is extensive. Still one of my all time favorite restaurants, no matter what the occasion Ken Stewart’s Lodge will not disappoint.
Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Warm and cozy and love the fireplaces. Food was delicious. Be cautious if you order off the chef's special menu as the waiter didn't quote prices. I about fell over when my entree was $77 and that didn't include sides. In my opinion, this is a "special occasion" restaurant.
We celebrated my birthday. Thank you for delicious smores dessert. Friend ordered MedRare burger and it came out Well done. Friend's French Onion soup was burned. Salmon delicious. Saurkraut balls very tasty. Bread great. Chicken very good. Salad nice size. Waitress was fine but not exceptional. Could have been bit more helpful with pricing of wines, etc. We have all worked in food service for years. One of us was a chef.
What an amazing dinning experience! The service couldn’t have been better and the food was awesome! I have learned one word that they don’t know at KSL and that is no, if you ask for it they can make it happen! We have tested them time after time! Just amazing! Thank you to the entire crew.
We have always enjoyed Ken Stuart's Lodge. The ambiance is wonderful. The service is great, and the food is always good. However, we won't return due to the value. We all found it to be way overpriced. It really is only a place I would recommend for a very special occasion due to the cost of everything on the menu, even a glass of wine. We would enjoy more often if the prices were lower.
A beautiful restaurant for a special occasion. We had the petite filet mignon and the prime rib - both were expertly prepared and delicious. While everything is al carte, it is well worth it as the food is outstanding. The breads offered with our salads were so yummy! Highly recommended for special dinner!
The best part of this restaurant was our waiter. Food was way over priced for being just ok. At these prices it should be the best that one has ever had, and it was far from that.
Don't get me wrong the food was good, but not knock your socks off good like the prices would suggest.
The drinks were very good and our waiter was fantastic. I wish I would have remembered her name.
Excellent food and service. My wife and I️ had dinner on Saturday evening for her birthday, our third visit. The Lodge is pricy but you generally get what you pay for. My only negative comment is that the ambiance is generally excellent - Friday, however, featured many loud children, complete with rampant coughing without covering their mouths. If I’m going to drop $300 on dinner for two, generally I don’t even want to think of a child, let alone listen to them. I hope this changes next time.
Excellent Food, Service, and Ambience!
My only gripe was that we showed up 5 minutes ahead and they shuffled us into the bar. The place was not wall to wall so I felt it was a push for drinks at the bar.
The meal was expensive but the splurge was worth it to me. This is our favorite high end restaurant.
