My fiancé and I wanted to go on a date to celebrate a few big events in our lives. We wanted to try something new so we decided to try out Ken Stewart’s Lodge. When we first walked in and walked up to the host stand, I felt like there was tension between some of the workers or something (not a big deal just felt a little awkward).
We sat down and a few minutes later were able to order our drinks. After we got those we started off our meal with the calamari which was pretty good! We then ordered our entrees - I got the 20 oz ribeye MR and my fiancé got the filet Trio M with scallops (each were $65). The food took about average time to come out (maybe a little slower considering it was a slower Monday night). My Med Rare ribeye was slightly over cooked (not too bad) and my fiancé’s Medium filets were undercooked. We aren’t ones to send it back and we didn’t really care much anyways. The steaks were good, but not great. My ribeye was below average compared or other higher end steak houses in the area. The au gratin potatoes were really good and the asparagus was okay. We ordered the peanut butter cookie and ice cream dessert which was really good.
Overall, the meal was good, but not great. We probably wouldn’t come back over some of the other places in the area but it was a good experience. Our server was very knowledgeable on the specials and the food. For the 2 of us with a couple drinks each it was about $215 before the tip - which was about what I had expected. On a scale from 1-10 I’d probably give it like a 8.1/10.
Was my first time going here and was excellent! Definitely would go again sometime.
Food an service were outstanding! Thank you !
Kelyn was wonderful. Great personality which made for a great experience for my first time at This restaurant.
Lovely presentation
We dined at the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and it was the perfect dinner. It has become our go-to restaurant for special occasions. The layout of the restaurant is such that you have private booths enclosed on three sides and probably 12 feet to the booth across the room. Given the Covid-19 situation we felt very safe. The atmosphere is great with a hunting lodge theme throughout. We ordered the lobster stuffed deviled eggs, Nordic Salmon with brussel sprouts, Chilean sea bass and Au Gratin Potatoes. Everything was served piping hot and was delicious. The seafood was cooked perfectly and the portions were large but so were the prices. The lobster stuffed eggs had lobster chunks replacing the yolk. They were very good. Service was great - our server was there when needed, was pleasant and patiently answered our questions.
My $65 steak was supposed to have a mushroom rub. It can loaded with this powder stuff covering the entire steak wit at least a 1/4 inch of the stuff
If it’s a good prime rib eye it doesn’t need anything but salt and pepper
We go to Ken Stewart’s for the seafood. Always delicious and perfectly cooked
As usual the food and service was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. I ordered Elk which was one of the specials, the chops were prepared to perfection with the accompanying sides matched perfect. My wife had the tenderloin medallions which were perfect as well.
This place is always so amazing all around
I absolutely loved/enjoyed my experience dining with you all. This was my 1st visit and I’ll definitely be back. Our waitress Dawn was excellent and very knowledgeable about the restaurant and it’s service. I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful New Years Eve dinner experience.❤️
Food and service was outstanding as usual. Sandy was our server and she always takes good care of us.
This new year's eve was different but ken Stewart's didn't disappoint. A bit costly but we had a great time
We had been disappointed with a couple of our recent visits and were very pleased to have a great experience this time. Tuna tartare was exceptional, and we both loved our steak. Angel food cake dessert is always our favorite.
I have been here many times and always enjoy it. The food is great, so is the service, and ambiance. It's a little on pricey side but its quality.
The food was very good, our family had a variety of items including chicken, steak and seafood with a couple of apps. Everything looked and tasted great. Service was attentive and personable.
The food is good, not excellent. But, the prices are very high for this quality of food and service. We had been to the Ken Stewarts on Market and found it to be overpriced as well. We thought we'd see if the Lodge was worth the price. It's not. You can get a comparable meal and better service (someone with a personality) for significantly less at other places. Check out Moe's in the Cuyahoga Falls for a better tenderloin than most steak houses, including the Lodge.
Very nice good menu and wine list service was a little slow but we had a good experience overall. If you book in advance I recommend the wine room or yurt that is set up outside
Great service! Wonderful ambiance!
Finally a PERFECT evening out! From food, drinks, appetizer, dinner, dessert and service. My husband said his steak was The Best! Love our server! Ask for Jess if you want an awesome evening.
We had an excellent meal, all food was prepared to our satisfaction. Our waiter Ken was an outstanding server. He made excellent suggestions for drink pairings with our meal. He knew the menu inside and out along with all of the specials. He made excellent meal suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. We’ve been to the restaurant in the past and will continue to go in the future BECAUSE they NEVER disappoint
Awesome evening again. Christmas Decorating and service were top notch as was the seafood dishes ordered by my wife and daughter. My filet was over cooked. Ordered medium well but it came out extremely well done. Didn’t send back as I didn’t want to cast any negative vibes as my girls were so enjoying their meals.
We enjoy going to dinner here but so disappointed in the seafood tower. Less and less each year. It used to be a tower - two levels and has diminished each year. Don’t even bother. Food is good, your paying for the atmosphere.
Wonderful place
First time dining there and it was great! The booths were built for social distancing. The food was delicious and service was great. I definitely recommend the mussels and French onion soup. My steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely go back
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and shared all the specials from memory. The food was very good and nice size portions. I highly recommend Ken Stewart's Lodge for special occasions.
Was very nice atmosphere and beautifully decorated for the holidays! Food and drinks were great! Would definitely recommend!
My wife and I had a great dinner and Alex our waiter was very good.
We went for our anniversary and the server didn’t seem super enthusiastic about us being there but that we were just another table to her. She tried to rush us out of there because of covid at 9:08 pm, two bites into our dinner and she was asking about desserts. It took them so long to get our drinks and salad out. We asked for help with the wine selections from the wine expert since the waitress did not know much about the wine. The wine expert was very strange. It felt as though he was being extremely judgmental because we were not super familiar with every kind of wine. He had an extremely loud voice and was projecting to, what seemed to be the entire room, our requests for wine. He asked us if we “knew what the south of France is,” which is offensive. He left a very bad taste in our mouths. He did not seem friendly at all, but extremely unwelcoming. He brought an expensive bottle of wine and did not go over the price. Our meal was near $400 and we left an $80 tip for the server. Oh, I forgot to mention my steak was cold but I did not send it back because they were in a rush. They did not acknowledge our anniversary in the beginning and seemed oddly unwelcoming. I will not be returning to this place ever and I will be telling everyone about this experience.
My ribeye had peeper corns and some Green stuff on it which took away from the taste of the steak. Also the server was wearing a strong perfume which took away from the otherwise wonderful ambiance
Always an amazing experience and amazing specials! Everything is delicious!! Everything
Great food and service which made for a special evening.
Great meal and great service! Highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass...can never go wrong with that choice.
Great food
Awesome meal and service was outstanding. Ken was great.
We have been to Ken Stewart’s several times and it never disappoints. My only complaint is my fish was over cooked and I should have returned it to cook again. I will return and good luck in these tough times.
Very impressed with staffs COVID safety guidelines - we were seated immediately and more than six feet from other tables. Good was incredible as always. Autumn out Server was a delight!
The decor sets you in a backwoods lodge. Really hard to describe, but really easy to appreciate. The staff set us up in the "wine room"...a private room with seating for 4. Our waitress, Jessica, was excellent. Service was prompt, polite and when she needed to repeat herself (kinda hard to hear through the mask), she was cordial and understanding.
I had the ribeye...and it was as good as that cut of meat could come. But my girlfriend had the 6 oz. filet and 8 oz. lobster...and THAT is what I should have ordered! She wanted it cooked medium +, but came to the table medium...and it looked GREAT! She was reluctant to eat it "that raw" but I convinced her that was the way to go. Jessica offered to take it back to the kitchen, yet my girlfriend ended up liking it. The lobster looked a bit more than 8 ozs.
TIP: If they have the surf-and-turf, GET IT!
COMMENDATION: Jessica and the kitchen staff. Job well done.
The food was great, the service was outstanding. Lindsey did a great job and I would definitely ask for her again. The desserts were great and the food was fairly priced in my opinion. Bartender did a great job on my martini also.
Lindsey, Natalie and the rest of the staff made our family birthday dinner for my wife absolutely incredible. Due to a scheduling conflict, they found us a table and treated us like family. We had an amazing night, the food rocked, the service was incredible, and we will certainly be back.
