Ken Stewart's Lodge
This proved to be a special Valentine's event for us. Our server was fantastic and we never felt rushed in anyway. We were able to fully enjoy the evening. The food was fantastic and exceeded our expectations.
Ken Stewart’s Lodge always exceeds our expectations. Great ambiance, excellent servers and staff, and food was second to none!
It was amazing, and our server “Kristen” was so thoughtful and helpful, she really made our experience wonderful. We will definitely be going back.
Had a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at the lodge. The service was fantastic as usual the ambiance was wonderful and food was amazing. We had the seafood platter and was delicious and also the 22 inch bone in ribeye. Had get a doggy bag. One of top restaurants in the area bar none
This is our "go-to" place for a nice Valentine's Day dinner, although we do visit on occasion the rest of the year. The service is consistently excellent and we have never been disappointed with our server's knowledge of the menu. The food is incredible, the menu varied and the portions adequate. Everyone at the table will find something they will absolutely enjoy. Though the restaurant can't be categorized as quiet, my wife and I have never had a problem keeping an intimate conversation. It is not cheap to dine at Ken Stewart's Lodge but we have always felt the cost was "worth it".
As always Carly and her team offer the most amazing food and dining experience!!
Great food, great atmosphere, prices are slightly inflated
Love lunch at the lodge. Best shrimp cocktail !
Server was great and they still accommodated us even though we were running late.
My husband and I went to celebrate a special occasion just the two of us. I actually was surprising my husband and when we got there we were a few minutes early for our reservation and they did not have a booth available. So they put us at a table for two that people kept running into our chairs and the servers were putting trays of food over our head. Our server did not make eye contact much and honestly we only saw her 3 times. We waited over 30 minutes to even order dessert and when she got to our table she didn’t even say sorry and instead said she was running out “hot food” even though we saw her delivering salads...our meal was almost $300 and we had very poor service. The food was great, the service was poor.
We love it there! And the entire staff is great, from when you enter and are welcomed to time at the table and when leaving to collect your coat/car. We will be back again.
One of our favorite places to celebrate special occasions
The food is rich and decadent. Sarah, our waitress was a gem! This is a great special occasion place.
I might suggest enforcing a dress code. It was off putting to see several individuals in ball caps, T-shirts, muddy boots.
There are plenty of places to go where less than casual attire is welcomed, Ken Stewart's should not be one of them. Respect the quality and reputation, if you can afford to eat here, you can afford to put on clean clothes and a collared shirt.
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Without alcohol or dessert, our bill for 2 was $175 before tip.
Awesome food yet again. Owners and wait staff ate extraordinary. Ambiance in the general dining room is reminiscent of a hunting lodge. Wine cellar on display. Yurt dining experience looks be a great addition to the lodge!
Will be back, many many times.
Always excellent here! One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Service was exceptional and food was all delicious. Highly recommend!!
Thought food prices were high. Noise level too high. Tables too close together which contributed to sound issue and feeling of being closed in. Food good but not outstanding.
Food was fantastic. Waitress was one of the best we’ve ever had.
Kids had a fun time dining in a more upscale environment.
Calamari and the peanut butter cookie dessert were must haves!
The DYI s’mores were a huge hit! Fish entrees and steaks were cooked to perfection and so flavorful without being overly salty!
Will be dining again. Hopefully soon!!
Our server, Sandy, was fantastic in knowledge and efficient service. Everything was fantastic. While a bit pricey, the quality and quantity of food/drink were excellent.
This was our first time at Ken Stewart’s Lodge, we were celebrating our anniversary. The food and service was amazing, will definitely dine here again
So hard to find places with the level of service and quality of food as Kens, we are never disappointed.
Love Ken Stewart’s. Their French Onion soup is yummy. Great place for a friends get together lunch.
What a lovely dining experience! I hadn't been to KS in a while, and chose it to meet a friend to celebrate her birthday ... it didn't disappoint. She had never been before, and found it to be wonderful and charming as well. We were seated at a booth in the main dining room, a very quiet place to enjoy conversation together. Our server was pleasant and attentive and our food was delicious!
While delicious, there were a few things we noted about out food choices. We chose the bruschette as an appetizer, and the cheese/tomato/oils were so good, and plentiful, but it only came with 4 crostini, not quite enough for the amount of cheese served. The server was kind enough to bring us more when we asked. I ordered the tasty beet and arugula salad, at $15, and was disappointed at the serving size. The plate was lined with red and yellow beets, with the tiniest portion of arugula sitting in the middle. I'd hardly call it a salad, especially at that pricepoint. The desserts we chose were also delicious. You can never go wrong with Creme Brulee, and the seasonal Banana Walnut Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce was out of this world.
I would highly recommend dining at Ken Stewarts ... the food and ambiance combination cannot be beat. We enjoyed a perfectly lovely afternoon over lunch!
Mr. Stewart greeted all his patrons, his staff is unbelievable in all aspects.
The lodge is one of the best places I have been in my worldly travels.
Great food and sensational service...Ambiance is very good but the valet parking turns into a mess at busy times. Biggest issue is that it is morbidly overpriced. We are talking Las Vegas strip prices...$24 for a steak tartare appetizer? Ken Stewarts is very much an "Akron thing" and i think they have these folks bamboozled into these prices. Red the steakhouse and the Marble room in CLE have lower price points on most menu items Their specials are in another stratopshere too, often touching $60 and $70
Amazing food and great service! Highly recommend!
Always the same - great good, great service, quiet booth and great drinks.
Cost is upscale, but so is everything else.
My wife and I found our new special spot. Extremely good food and atmosphere. Only disappointment is that they were out of the branzino.
Our server was Alex and he was amazing
food was outstanding
Charred steak was delicuous
Wonderful evening. Great service by waitress Natalie, excellent food, and beautiful quiet atmosphere with pleasant background music. Will enjoy returning in near future.
The food was excellent and the staff was ready and greeted us on our anniversary.
Food and service were excellent. However, not romantic at all. My husband and I were seated next to a table of 12 with 3 children. They were loud and we could barely have a conversation between us.
Sumptuous meal from appetizer to desert! Another 5 star dining experience, a tender juicy filet mignon that was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Thank you for a truly great New Year’s dinner!
Great food. Excellent server. Atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. We didn’t feel rushed.
Service slow and prices high ( and a la carte) lovely ambiance.
Service: no reason for slow service. The waiter only had a couple tables. It was a very slow Saturday ( we had 6:00pm reservation). He walked by our table constantly when checking on his one other table. We had to ask for water refill, we had to ask for a clean plate, and we had to sit for 10 minutes with our dirty dishes and leftovers before I was able to stop him and ask for a to-go box.
My filet mignon a la Oscar was served on a small nondescript cheap white plate. less than zero presentation. Hollandaise sauce was less than marginal: thin and tasteless, missing white pepper for sure. Not worth the $20 upcharge.
Steak was exceptional: tender, flavorful and to correct temperature.
The bread is fantastic. However, staff is stingy with portion and offering bread. The table across from us had to ask several times for bread, and our bread only arrived once we had our main course. Make sure to try and cranberry nut bread. Butter is served cold and brick hard which defeats purpose of enjoying warm fresh bread.
I ordered hot water with lemon. Had to request multiple times. Then had to request several times for refill. Ice water was never refilled.
We all ordered wine. Wine list by the glass has no depth. However, house wine is surprisingly good.
Baked brie with raspberry sauce was under-baked. Flavorful. But crust was pale white and still doughy. The apricot jam glaze was nice, however the raspberry sauce that accompanied it was fantastic.
The sauerkraut balls were delicious. However they were served with a horrible cocktail sauce. Who does that? A ranch or horseradish white sauce would have complimented the flavor substantially. Instead we had the competition of ketchup.
The silverware is so cheap - similar to what is found in a BBQ restaurant: ugly and light. Not what one would expect from a nice restaurant with white table cloths and these prices. The steak knife had substance and was lovely.
Food was not great, my husband said he should have had them take back the hamburger, it was terriblely under cooked. The frites were limp and when I asked for a new order, the waitress said "oh you want them crispy"? How else would you serve frites!
Wonderful meal with good friends. Our conversation was the highlight of the night because everything else was perfectly and elegantly presented and prepared.
Excellent food and service for my Moms 76th birthday.
