Ken Stewart's Grille Ratings and Reviews
Slightly dated inside. Odd art work. Those are not big issues. We ordered the specials. The appetizer was good. The steaks were under cooked. Very amateur for a place that is known for their steaks. When making the waiter aware of this he made excuses for the way the steaks were cooked he claimed it was because the size of the steak. When I go to a place that advertises itself as a premiere steak house I expect an expertly prepared steak. If your the best be the best. I know you can do better.
We’ve been to this place before but for NYE I thought it would be more special. The server was average, but not top notch and attentive like I’d expect one to be at a place like this. The au gratin potatoes we did not care for. The steak was tender but could have been seasoned better. The Caesar salad was ok. The food was expensive and frankly I think the food was much tastier on our last visit earlier in 2017.
Arrived 15 minutes before reservation and was greeted rudely by the manager. Almost left but the bar tendered encourage us to stay. Food was prepared correctly and was good, however my wife's $46 small filet was perhaps the smallest steak we have ever been served.
We are long time regulars, and total cost is never a concern, however fairness is an issue. At this point the cost versus value equilibrium has been exceeded. Dinner is simply cost prohibitive in this competitive market.
We were disappointed by the overall value of Ken Stewart’s. This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were treated quite rudely by the bartender (and observed her treat staff rudely as well), which started the visit on a poor note. They played loud hip-hop music throughout the entire meal, which made conversation difficult. Lastly, while the food was good, it did not warrant the price tag. We do not plan on returning any time soon.
Terrible table in lounge, pinned behind service tray table. Rarely saw our waitress. Very noisy party of inebriates across the railing. Table was tiny, couldn't accommodate three diners. Not at all what I would expect, and the Lounge area wasn't even fully utilized.
Our annual dinner for my wife's birthday keeps getting to be the most looked forward to meal of the year. The atmosphere and the food, with an amazing staff, there is no better place to spend a pre-Christmas night eating the best filet and the best sea bass. Their table-side caesar salad knocks it out of the park every time. I'm not a dessert person at restaurants normally, but the cherry and vanilla cheesecake nailed it, and my wife loved the bread pudding with bourbon sauce, The way Ken Stewarts takes care of its customers is outstanding. Dec 2018 can't get here soon enough!!!
This place has really gone downhill. From being one of the top restaurants in the Akron area to a place with bad service and poorly prepared food. This is the second time in a row our steaks we completely under cooked. Instead of sending them back like we did last time I chose to eat around the rare part. Our server was very rude and had little knowledge of how steaks are prepared. Not worth the $150 for a meal. Much better places to spend your money. What a shame.
Fist visit to Ken's and by far the best food one has had! Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and right on top of making our evening delightful! The whole experience will be one that I do hope that I can have the opportunity to do again! Great job to all involved in our experience!
