The waitress and waiter staff are excellent. The food is of high value for the money. The booths create a cozy and quiet atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
Dinner was good. We had lollipop wings that were good but very heavily sauced. Both of us had entree salads that were good. A very uncomplicated meal, but had to wait a long time for our food. Folks who sat next to us that were seated much later than we were got their 4 large entrees at same time that we finally got our salads. Our waiter was great and was apologetic as we waited - think the problem was in the kitchen. Overall good but not great.
Visiting our son in Durango; he and his roommate recommended Ken & Sue's. Warm and inviting place. My vodka martini was yummy, so was the main meal. Our waiter explained the menu well. Service was excellent. Loved the main dishes (tasted them all)...but the apple tart was only so-so.
Yet another entry into the excellent dining choices in Durango, however Ken and Sue’s is the head of the class. Great food, excellent service, very nice wine list and cocktails, and the prices CANNOT be beat.
Located on the main avenue of Durango, this restaurant provided us with a very good meal at a very good price.
The atmosphere is induces a fine dining experience and combined with the excellent service made for a very enjoyable evening.
When, once again our travels bring us to Durango, Ken & Sue's would be among our first choices for dinner.
Ken and Sue’s is always mazing as usual. The value is the best in town and the service provided by Lacey is the always on point!
As always, great meal and delightful place to spend time with friends
This restaurant was very good. Food was cooked well, and service was fast. Nice restrooms and waiters/waitresses.
We've been going to Ken & Sue's for many, many years now. We can always depend on them for good food and good service. Go early! They fill up quickly! Reservations highly recommended.
The lobster smashed potatoes did not have the lobster chunks we were told it possessed. Either add lobster or don’t promote it as lobster smashed potatoes.
I've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. The salmon flatbread appetizer was great, as was the meatloaf, which I never order, but was pleasantly surprised.
This was not our first time here and we keep returning because we love it! We took some friends with us and they loved it too. I ordered the meat loaf, which I have had in the past and again it was wonderful. Our friends tasted some of my meat loaf and they are still talking about how great it was. Ken and Sue's is always excellent.
Niece and husband visiting in college break.
Great food , service . Priced right
The Baby Greens Salad and Tomato Basil soup were delicious! Lots of Gorgonzola cheese on the salad, shallot dressing, sliced apples, and nuts.....with mixed greens made it spectacular! The soup was amazing! Thanks! Hope to visit again when we’re in Durango!!
As always, this local favorite delivers the goods! The food is attractive, tasty, creative and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is quiet enough to be able to converse easily but also lively and energetic. The Raspberryrita Tini is a delight in many ways!! Do yourself s favor and check them out!
Good was disappointing. I had the seared tuna that presented very poorly. Looked frozen and baked rather than seared. Calamari was a lot of cream and soggy not “crispy”. We have always been happy with food here until this last visit.
Excellent service and high quality food. Recommended and will return.
We go for their cilantro encrusted halibut and their bread. Always wonderful and a good value. Thank you Lacey for the terrific service!
Our waiter Damien was so personable, friendly and professional and just a GREAT waiter all the way around. He recognized quickly we were from Texas because of my accent, (haha) and welcomed us to Colorado! We were visiting downtown Durango after having skied Purgatory all week and wanted a place to try out for a nice dinner. We were seated in the corner to the right of the entry door and we met and also chatted with a local couple from the area while waiting for our food to arrive. They were awesome and gave us ideas for things to do while in town. I ordered the special of the day which was: 8 oz ribeye cutlets on top of homemade garlic pasta with pesto sauce, crunchy arugula and goat cheese crema and my husband ordered the pork tenderloins wrapped in bacon dish with cider red cabbage slaw, sweet mashed potatoes with molasses sauce. OMG - the food was incredible! We ended with sharing their chocolate molten cake with coconut ice cream and it was awesome as well. We travel a lot and I’m the “foodie” between the 2 of us, so I really love trying new places to dine. I would highly recommend this restaurant and be sure to ask for Damien. Only thing I’m disappointed about, was that I didn’t take pictures of our plates as presented. We were too caught up in conversation and I forgot but they were beautiful and appetizing.
Good service, good food, good drinks, good price. Xxxyyyzzz
We were on vacation and this place was highly recommended. I can see why. We were warmly welcomed when we walked in, and even though we were early, our table was ready with menus and filled water glasses. The great background music and low lighting made this a very romantic spot. Every bite of our food was wonderful and Gabe took such good care of us. If we are ever in this area of New Mexico again, we will absolutely be back. We loved everything about it.
Always good - especially Tuesday scallop night (shh, don’t tell everyone!).
Favorite restaurant. Food is always excellent as is the service.
The food was amazing like always! Our waitress Ashley was so awesome. She recommended we try the Filet Minion Egg Roll appetizer so we did and it was incredible. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Summer was great as well, she is always such a ray of sunshine and smiles when we come in. What a warm atmosphere! My husband and I had a wonderful first night out away from our baby! Thanks Ken and Sues!!!
My wife & I had a great time!! Food was fantastic & service was great!! A little snug in the seating department,I kept getting hit when people would walk by cuz it was a tight squeeze between me & the wall! I definitely wouldn't bring children to here though they had a menu for them!! But overall it was a wonderful evening!!
Our favorite Durango restaurant. Great food. Crusted Sea Bass to die for. Exceptional service. Jessica is a gem.
Love this restaurant! Try to come here every time I am in Durango. Try the Calamari. It is creatively different and delicious. Make it a place you visit when in Durango!
Waitress was Jessica, she was fabulous. All the food and beverage was great as usual. This is our favorite lunch/dinner location in all Durango. Consistently great.
Even though we had an early reservation, he place was jammed, a good sign. It’s was too noisy for us, but the food was excellent.
Every time we go to Ken and Sue's you know what you are getting! Great food and great service!
Birthday. Got seated next to bar which was probably the worse table in the house. Excellent service. Had the Friday special prime rib. Large portion. Very good quality and preparation.
Wonderful as usual. Love this place for casual/classy business lunches.
The Martinis weren't great, we had to send back out first one. Mixed drinks were ok. Pork Belly app was soo good! Salmon flat bread in my opion had too much lettuce and lacked a decent amount of Salmon. The sweet potato gnocchi sounded creative and was just ok. I would return to try other items as the review for this place have always been great.
As always an excellent dinner, menu selections, service, and atmosphere which make for a great casual dinner or special occasion. Have never been disappointed at Ken and Sue. My favorite dinners are the plank salmon any night or the Wednesday evening salmon special - both are excellent.
We always stop at Ken and Sue’s when we are in Durango. Food is exceptional, wine by the glass list is very good and service is outstanding.
The owner was Hosting, and treated us like royalty. The staff are very pleasant and the food was very good and a great value!
We went here to my special birthday dinner while on vacation in Durango Co. . We made reservations (which is highly recommended ) and were seated right when we walked in . Our waitress was prompt and super nice . We ordered the Filet Mignon , lobster mashed potatoes, spinach . PHENOMENAL! I had the raspberry martini which was wonderful as well . As we were both stuffed full , we ordered the dessert to go . White chocolate cheesecake which was delectable ! We sampled several restaurants while visiting Durango , but this place was by far our favorite!! :)
I loved my salad (walnut, gorgonzola, etc.) but my companion diners both said their meat was overcooked. Other than that, everything was great, and we'll definitely return.
Ordered some appetizers and entrees - everything was good but the fish, which was overcooked (enough that my friend could tell while I was eating it that is was not flaking off easily). It wasn't fresh. Every few bites were slightly fishy....I couldn't finish it. I order fish a lot so am certainly not a fish "newbie" -- was disappointed in the whole dish, since the sides were far from spectacular too. My friend enjoyed her meal, and the appetizers were good (greasy, but good). Good service, good noise level, but probably not my first choice when I go out next time.
