Ken & Sue's
My husband took me to lunch for our 43rd anniversary and everything was really terrific - from the appetizers & specialty tinis to the delicious entrees and, to top things off, a delightful creme brulee! Our wait person, Trinity, was wonderful and even gave us a souvenier photo to remember our experience. Thanks for making our anniversary so wonderful!
my only complaint is that the molten chocolate cake for dessert was overcooked, and not molten! Still good flavor
I've eaten here about a dozen times, and I still look forward to coming back and recommending it to friends. Quality experience with great value.
This continues to be our favorite place to eat out!!
Meals are plentiful and we appreciate the value we receive.
Service is exceptional which is a bonus :)
I look forward to visiting Durango so I can eat art Ken & Sue's. The food, the menu, the service are all you or anyone could ask for.
Amazing food! A true Durango experience. Can’t miss this dinning experience.
Ken and Sue's is always a good choice for a tasty meal in a cozy atmosphere in town.
I have never been disappointed at Ken and Sue’s is a wonderful experience
Great food and service. One our favorite Durango aotps
Always a good meal @ Ken and Sues.👍🏻 our fish choices of pistachio crusted grouper and the daily special of Mahi mahi we’re very tasty. Also tried a new appetizer- the lettuce wraps. The filling was delicious, but we thought it was rather strange to have it served to us with a sad chunk of iceberg lettuce we had to separate instead of butter lettuce leaves.
We have been dinning here for 17 years. Our impression is that both the food and the service has declined over this time. That said, it is always busy.
I had heard so many good things from people about this restaurant but I was very disappointed with my personal experience. I ordered the grouper which was heavily breaded and very overcooked to the point of almost burnt. the waitress was very accommodating and I was not charged for my meal. Even the waitress remarked when she cleared my pretty much full plate that it didn’t look right and asked me if I had liked the entrée. I’m surprised she didn’t notice that it didn’t look right when she served it. The wait staff were hectic, which reflected in their attentiveness to our table. I will say that the appetizer of that seared Ahi tuna was very good. I wish I had gotten that as my meal. My sister-in-law got a wedge salad, which was Very good and she was happy with. I was the only person unhappy with my meal. My husband got the mahi-mahi and was happy, my brother-in-law got the salmon he was happy and my sister-in-law Got the Thai shrimp, which she enjoyed. My husband asked for the remainder of his meal to be boxed up, but the waitress never returned with it. Overall I would like to try it again but will definitely be trying a different entrée. It was very disappointing thing how it was our wedding anniversary dinner.
Always a great meal, service spot on and good ambience. We go to Ken and Sue’s frequently because we truly enjoy the place.
We had a great experience!
We were told by a local resident it was the best restaurant in town. Boy were they right! Great food, lovely ambience, & fantastic service. And to top it off the prices were not unreasonable.
Always terrific quality and quantity. Consistently great taste. The potato lasagna is to die for!
We had a great night with our visiting children. The food was good and our server was outstanding. My only recommendation is to give more empathy to us folks who arrive for dinner soon after your opening. The last few times we reserved a time at 5:15 the restaurant is extremely cold and uncomfortable the first 15 minutes. That makes it difficult to get into the spirit of going out to dinner for awhile. Granted it isn't for a long time but the chill is always noticeable to us and we are not the only persons to feel this way. On the positive side, Ken and Sue's is an excellent restaurant which offers the best value in Durango, delicious meals and excellent service. My family and I recommend it highly but in the winter show up later than the opening!
Best place in Durango to eat. We had a great meal and I was really glad that I was able to make my reservation online since it was packed, as usual.
As usual totally satisfying.
The food and service were outstanding. I knocked a couple of stars for ambiance as we were seated outside, inside a plastic wrapped room with heaters. It was an awful room, but the inside dining space looked great.
As always, Ken and Sue's does not disappoint. It is our go-to for date nights! The infusions are always a nice surprise.
We three locals enjoyed another great evening at Ken & Sue’s wonderful restaurant!
Our favorite entrees .... Lydia’s Meatloaf, Pistachio encrusted Grouper and Seared Tuna never disappoint.
The surprise this evening was the wonderful Smoked Cherry Manhattan Martini! Perfect holiday cocktail!
I went there for my anniversary never been to Durango. Food was awful ordered the salon was flavorless sauce tasted like condensed milk. My wife’s steak was undercooked and then they burnt it. They didn’t charge us fir our meal but we never got a chance to celebrate our anniversary that evening.
Always wonderful lovely window table with acceptable noise level. Great food and service which we expect!
Second night we ate here on our recent annual trip to Durango. Love that they change the menu a bit but keep some of the favorites.
Always good service and good food!
We come to Durango once a year for business and we always eat at Ken and Sue’s every night we are in town.
Our server Logan was wonderful. Very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks were excellent and the tini’s a great value. Food was excellent, though it would be nice to offer more vegetarian choices both in starters and entrees. I have eaten here before and wanted to bring my husband here for dinner. We both enjoyed it.
The best place in town for good food at a reasonable price.
The service is always top notch.
A delicious prime rib, and a spectacular gnocci were exactly what we needed after a six hour drive to Durango! The horseradish sauce that was served with the prime rib was incredible as well. A wonderfully romantic dinner ensued. The service was impeccable and the holiday decor completed a very long day perfectly!
This is one of Durango's gems and visit here often. The food, service, ambiance and all the employees are wonderful. Of course, the meatloaf is my favorite.
Love this place for every occasion.
We were pleased to be seated in the cozy front window booth. Our server was prompt and friendly. All 5 of our meals (NY strip, stuffed chicken breast, grilled mahi mahi) were tasty and well-presented. The portion sizes we're generous, but not too much. Shared Creme Brulee and Bananas Foster for desert we're yummy. All of us felt that Ken and Sue's was both a good value and a delightful experience.
We had heard so many great things & read many great reviews we were looking forward our reservation. It was small (good), it was pretty noisy (not so great), staff was very friendly & accommodated us when we arrived about 30' early. Moderately priced, very casual, moderate wine list. I ordered the Mahi Mahi w/ Bok Choy. The serving was 5oz or less, fish was overdone & I had to cut w/ a knife. I don't eat rice so requested extra Bok choy, we they did. Broth had very little flavor, very disappointed. My husband ordered the angel hair pasta w/ tomato sauce. It was packaged pasta, he added chicken which was dry & blackened in spots (under the broiler too long), he added mozzarella which was put on top in about 4 slices. Not a great presentation & cheese didn't get to melt. Overall we were very unimpressed and would not go back, nor would we recommend. The server Allie was great, very helpful & nice.
Always wonderful! Food was great! Never a bad experience
Excellent food and service with a wonderful ambiance.
Always a wonderful experience at Ken & Sue’s. ❤️
Stellar service. Decent food with huge proportions. Red wine did not taste fresh but I should have noticed the wine being stored not in a cool area but in the restaurant itself which overheats it. I would definitely return but order white wine or a cocktail instead.
Our server Deb was terrrrrrific!!! Great food as always!
My favorite restaurant in Durango. But, I usually get the NY STRIP . It’s not a strip anymore. Looks and tastes like a sirloin. Last time I’m ordering that. Used to be my go to item. Not a good cut of meat anymore.
